Sungrow Wind equipment and applications
The Sungrow Wind portfolio includes wind converters, pitch systems, grid simulators and industrial motor drives. First identify the required function: generator power conversion, blade positioning, test-facility operation or industrial motor control.
These tasks concern different equipment and require different input information. For an operating turbine, provide the installed equipment schedule and nameplates. For a new project, send the technical brief and agreed electrical architecture.
Separate complete cabinets, individual modules and accessories in the purchasing list. This supports a quotation with a defined equipment scope and keeps each requested position associated with the relevant project or operating system.
Doubly-fed and full-power wind converters
Sungrow offers conversion equipment for doubly-fed and full-power arrangements. The family page lists a portfolio range of 1.5–30 MW and voltage levels of 690/950/1140/1800/3300 V. These are family-level values; an individual product has its own specified configuration.
An enquiry needs the generator model, electrical diagram, required power and grid interface. For replacement equipment, attach the complete identification and turbine documentation. If a project considers alternatives, define the assumptions for each option.
Retain the full system designation in the quotation so the overall product range is not mistaken for the agreed rating of a particular cabinet or module.
Generator, converter and grid interfaces
Wind-converter selection considers the generator side, grid side and overall control arrangement. Provide a single-line diagram, generator parameters and identification of associated equipment.
As-built records are useful for an operating installation because they describe the actual version in service. Identify retained equipment separately if only part of the system will change. Transformer, distribution, metering and external protection requirements belong to the project design.
Converter procurement follows the agreed interfaces and technical brief. This structure helps compare equivalent supply boundaries and clarifies which accessories belong to the manufacturer's equipment package and which are supplied through the wider project.
SPS100 modular pitch systems
SPS100 provides blade-pitch control using a modular architecture. Distinguish this circuit from the turbine's main generator power converter when preparing the enquiry. State the turbine model, pitch-drive arrangement and complete installed-system designation.
Individual components need their own marking and assembly position. A new equipment package needs the control requirements and interface specification. The agreed purchasing schedule should identify the modules and accessories included in the supply.
This keeps the enquiry focused on a particular drive function, allowing its assembly scope to be discussed without confusing it with other electrical cabinets or conversion equipment on the same turbine.
SPS1000 single-cabinet architecture
SPS1000 is a single-cabinet pitch system with several layers of redundancy. Selection requires the project brief and information about connected devices. For replacement on an operating turbine, provide the cabinet nameplate, component schedule and available electrical diagram.
A request for an individual assembly should retain its own designation and its relationship to SPS1000. Separate a complete cabinet, internal modules and agreed accessories in the equipment list. Verify the required functionality against the documentation for the offered version.
This establishes a clear quotation scope and supports service handover with the correct equipment identification and associated records.
GS1000 for grid-simulation facilities
GS1000 simulates grid conditions for testing wind, solar and energy-storage equipment. Provide the equipment-under-test type, test programme and connection requirements. State whether the request concerns a new test installation or a component for an existing simulator.
A project purchase should identify the power, voltage and interfaces adopted in the technical specification. Agree the equipment scope together with the boundaries of the test facility and external infrastructure. If the facility has several test modes, describe them separately.
This connects equipment selection to the actual testing programme and helps define the assemblies and accessories included in the proposed supply.
SGD industrial motor drives
Sungrow lists the low-voltage SGD50, medium-voltage SGD80 and SGD100 with a cascaded H-bridge architecture. The stated applications include wind power, metallurgy, mining and petrochemical industries. An enquiry needs motor data, driven-equipment information and electrical-network parameters.
Describe the required control mode and interfaces with the plant automation system. For a replacement, provide the installed-drive model and actual connection diagram. The supply scope includes a particular equipment version and agreed accessories, so retain the complete designation.
The SGD family name indicates the product area, while the technical brief determines the individual drive and its configuration for the application.
Power and control replacement components
Begin with photographs of the converter or drive nameplate and the component marking. Add views of its connections and the relevant parts-schedule page. Identify the circuit in which it operates: main wind conversion, pitch control, industrial drive or a test system.
Keep similar-function components from different generations as separate positions. If diagnosis is complete, include the servicing organisation's confirmed replacement list. A component name, exact designation and application location together provide a useful sourcing request.
Distinguish an individual part, a replaceable module and a complete cabinet so the enquiry is directed at the required assembly level.
Control-system integration and interfaces
Selection requires coordination of commands, measurements and connections to the installation controller. Attach the control diagram and identification of retained and newly requested devices. Describe hardware interfaces separately from required functions in the technical brief.
A single-component replacement still needs the installed-system configuration where it affects identification. Keep software settings and hardware supply as separate enquiry positions. This helps define equipment completeness and the boundary between procurement, engineering and site operations.
Interface requirements should refer to the selected version, not merely the broad product-series name, so the proposal can be reviewed against the actual control arrangement.
Equipment completeness and incoming inspection
For every cabinet or module, record the model, version, quantity and agreed accessories. Retain original manufacturer designations and the customer's position references. Where several turbines or production lines are involved, allocate the requested equipment to the relevant locations.
At receipt, compare identification and package counts with the order and record visible shipment condition. Save nameplate and packaging-label photographs in the equipment register. If assemblies arrive separately, note their system association in the schedule.
This supports handover to the installation or service organisation and later tracking of the exact versions supplied to each operating asset.
Preparing a Sungrow Wind purchasing request
State the equipment function, complete model or project parameters, quantity and delivery destination. Converter enquiries need generator data and a diagram; drive enquiries need motor and load information; simulator enquiries need the test programme.
Spare parts require markings, photographs and a schedule position. Separate different systems into individual purchasing entries. An enquiry table can include the internal asset number and reference to the relevant document. State whether each item is a complete unit or a module.
These details support a concrete equipment offer and allow technical questions to be tied to the correct installation and procurement position.
Availability, price, lead time, compatibility, ratings, documents and software configuration are confirmed for the selected version. We do not claim authorised dealer status, that Sungrow manufactures the entire turbine, or interchangeability based only on a series name.
