What a floating PV supply scope includes

Sungrow Floating PV provides structural solutions for positioning solar modules and equipment on water. A project enquiry may include floating elements, supports, brackets, connections, anchoring nodes and cable-route accessories.

Solar modules, inverters and external electrical equipment should be identified as separate purchasing positions. State whether the requirement is a structural set for a new installation or replacement items for an operating plant. Provide the array layout, system model and requested item schedule.

This separates the floating structure, energy equipment and engineering work, helping each party understand which assemblies and interfaces belong to the proposed equipment supply.

Comparing SGF-TS30M and SGF-PT60

SGF-TS30M is a truss-based solution, while SGF-PT60 is a pontoon system. Comparing them requires site information, PV module data and the proposed array arrangement. Keep project assumptions consistent across alternatives and list each option's assembly scope separately.

For an operating station, use the installed system, drawings and component markings as the starting point. The Floating PV business name alone does not identify a suitable replacement part. Support elements, connections and walkway items need their specific version and assembly position.

This links supplier responses to a defined structural item instead of a broad description of the project.

Site information for the water body

For a new installation, provide the site location, water-surface layout and available engineering documents. The project assessment considers water-body characteristics, level variation, wind and wave conditions, ice conditions and water properties.

Procurement should follow the design assumptions adopted by the project engineer, not only the desired electrical capacity. During early development, identify known parameters and information still being gathered.

Replacement enquiries should retain their link to the original design and actual installed structure. These details help define the equipment version and procurement item without transferring the conditions or advertised performance of an unrelated installation to the proposed site.

PV modules and array geometry

Structural selection requires the PV module identification, dimensions and agreed arrangement. The project schedule should record module count, allocation to sections and mounting points. Identify separate array areas individually where the installation contains several groups.

For an operating site, provide the as-built layout, especially after expansion or rearrangement. Brackets and connections can then be linked to drawing references and item numbers. A structural package enquiry should identify modules already selected or supplied.

This allows the support solution to be considered against the actual project equipment and gives procurement a clear basis for agreeing the completeness of each supplied assembly.

Anchoring equipment and connection nodes

The anchoring system is considered with the water-body design and selected array structure. For SGF-PT60, Sungrow describes a three-point anchoring mount in the north–south direction. Coordinate this product feature with the site-specific anchoring design.

A component enquiry needs its designation, documented dimensions, quantity and application location. Photographs help identify the connection form, while design requirements come from the project documentation.

For replacement, retain the original drawing reference and information about adjacent installed elements. If a complete anchoring scope is requested, divide it into the agreed item schedule instead of treating all connections as one unspecified purchasing position.

Cable routes across the array and to shore

SGF-PT60 product information describes north–south and east–west cable-channel arrangements. The plant design determines the actual route with reference to the array and shore-side equipment. Provide the route drawing and requested accessory schedule.

Identify transitions between sections and connections towards the shore separately. Distinguish structural cable-support components from electrical cables and connectors. This separation helps coordinate supply scopes across different project participants.

For individual replacements, include the item marking, connection drawing and photographs of the installed version. A clear route and component list allows each accessory to be associated with a specific part of the array.

Floating Barge equipment platforms

Floating Barge supports plant equipment and uses multiple buoyancy compartments. Sungrow lists an optional independent oil tank for matching transformer equipment. Selection needs an equipment schedule with weights, dimensions and the intended placement drawing.

State requirements for service access, walkways and connections separately. The platform must be considered together with equipment loads and the site's design conditions. Distinguish the structural platform, installed energy equipment and agreed accessories in the purchasing schedule.

This makes clear which positions are to arrive as a coordinated set and which are supplied by other project participants for installation on the platform.

Maintenance access across a floating array

The SGF-TS30M product information lists a maintenance aisle width of at least 450 mm. The station layout coordinates access routes with modules, equipment and entry points. Requests for walkway elements or connections should include the relevant plan and schedule position.

A partial replacement on an operating walkway needs actual dimensions and adjacent connection details. Keep the item's association with the specific floating system in the enquiry so the supplied assembly can be checked against the intended structure.

For plants managed by sections, include the section designation or internal location reference to support allocation and handover of the delivered components.

Replacing items on an operating plant

Begin with the floating-system model, section reference and designation of the item to replace. Attach an overall view, connection and marking photographs, and the relevant as-built drawing page.

Keep dimensions and schedule positions separate for visually similar items until their versions have been identified. A servicing organisation's confirmed equipment list is useful where it has defined the replacement requirement.

Distinguish a complete floating element, a structural assembly and an individual fastener. This produces concrete purchasing positions tied to the installed array, allowing sourcing to follow the actual assembly information rather than relying on appearance alone.

Assembly scope and delivery planning

For a large installation, organise the supply schedule by sections, assemblies and packing sets. Record the designation, quantity, drawing reference and installation stage for every position. Identify items supplied through other channels separately.

Delivery planning needs the destination, unloading location and agreed site handover arrangement. At receipt, compare markings and package quantities with the order and record visible shipment condition.

Keep packaging photographs and assembly lists until the equipment has been handed over for installation. A structured schedule helps match every delivered item to its intended array section and reduces uncertainty when several installation stages are being supplied together.

Preparing a Floating PV enquiry

For a new structure, send the selected solution, array layout, PV module data and agreed equipment list. A spare-part request needs identification, quantity, photographs and a drawing or schedule reference. State the delivery destination and which project elements are already supplied.

For alternative solutions, use consistent site assumptions. Retain manufacturer designations together with your internal position numbers in the enquiry table.

Specify whether the requirement covers a structural package, anchoring nodes, maintenance access, cable accessories or an equipment platform. A well-defined list supports a quotation with clear boundaries and lets each clarification refer to a particular assembly or project item.

Availability, price, lead time, scope, documentation and suitability for a particular water body are confirmed against the project and selected version. We do not claim authorised dealer status, universal ice or wind resistance, or design and installation services.
