Define the Equipment Assembly
Identify whether the request concerns a complete metering system, an LNG dispenser, a metering section, a sensor or replacement electronics. FLOWCOM identifies the measurement system, Dynaflow the dispenser, and SWM the primary metering section.
Send a readable nameplate photograph, a general equipment view and the relevant parts drawing. This connects the request to a specific assembly and avoids selecting a component solely from the brand name.
Existing Installation and Project Scope
State whether the installation is on a road tanker or at a stationary site. Include the equipment generation, serial marking, quantity and the reference position on the drawing. For an existing installation, describe previous modifications and the components that will remain in service.
For a new package, provide the process diagram and the intended duty. SpareX uses these details to prepare a project scope covering equipment, interfaces and the required supporting information.
Fluid and Flow Range
The FLOWCOM 3000 brochure separates its measurement ranges by fluid. Liquid air gases, CO2 and LNG are listed at 1000–120000 kg/h. Gaseous hydrogen is listed at 1–20 kg/min and liquid hydrogen at 400–3500 kg/h. These figures describe application ranges across the product offering.
They do not make one installed configuration suitable for every fluid. Specify the actual process medium, minimum and maximum flow, operating pressure and installed equipment designation.
Dynaflow Generations and Ambient Conditions
For standard LNG, Dynaflow 4 lists 16–80 kg/min and a density range of 300–700 kg/m³. The Dynaflow 3000-DIS sheet lists the same flow range with 300–900 kg/m³. Dynaflow 4 ambient temperature is −20/+55 °C in the standard specification, with −40/+70 °C on request.
Keep these values linked to their respective model when comparing alternatives. Include site layout, available utilities and the operating environment in the project enquiry.
Electronics and Sensors
The FLOWCOM 3000 system layout includes a PT100 temperature sensor, a differential pressure transmitter, impulse pipes and an SWM metering section. Its main unit is specified for 9–36 V DC, with maximum consumption of 10 W without a printer and 50 W with a printer.
The brochure describes wired communication and optional Bluetooth. Provide the markings and connection information of the actual component rather than using the system specification as a sensor part number.
Station Interfaces and Replacement Records
For dispenser electronics, identify the existing calculator and station interface. Dynaflow 4 lists Betacontrol ADP U, whereas Dynaflow 3000-DIS lists Betacontrol ADP 1/2T. Describe the station side of the connection and the information to be exchanged.
For a replacement request, include the fault message, readable connector photographs and any available configuration record. Agree handling of settings, stored records and calibration information with the organisation responsible for the installed equipment before planning the intervention.
FLOWCOM Upgrade Scope
The manufacturer describes upgrade packages from FLOWCOM 2000 and previous generations to FLOWCOM 3000. An upgrade enquiry should include the installed version, pump control diagram, sensor arrangement and data transfer requirements.
Integrated PumpSmart functions cover pump cooldown, two-phase flow detection, cavitation control and flow limits. The presence of these functions in the catalogue does not establish the contents of a retrofit package for a particular tanker or stationary installation.
Mastermeter Calibration Planning
Mastermeter is described as a mobile system for on-site recalibration, including recirculation operation. The service brochure gives 45 minutes for a typical FLOW calibration and a published prover accuracy better than 0.16%.
Treat the procedure separately from site preparation and the full work scope. Supply existing system records and the requirements of the organisation responsible for metrological acceptance. These allow the appropriate equipment and procedure to be identified for the project.
Equipment List and Hose Selection
Send a line-by-line equipment list with model, designation, quantity and a reference to the relevant drawing or photograph. Separate complete equipment from replacement components and upgrade packages. Describe which existing assemblies will remain and which interfaces the new equipment must meet.
For hoses, identify the dispenser generation, connection and nozzle marking: Dynaflow 4 lists 1 inch dispensing hoses of 3.5 or 5 m, while the Dynaflow 3000-DIS sheet lists 3.65 m.
Quotation and Delivery Scope
SpareX prepares a quotation around the agreed technical scope. State the destination, package configuration, documentation requirements and site acceptance criteria. Identify whether the project needs separate packaging for replacement parts or a consolidated shipment of equipment and accessories.
The quotation records the agreed equipment list, commercial conditions and delivery arrangement. If installation support or maintenance is part of the enquiry, describe the intended work and site responsibilities so that these can be considered with the equipment request.
