Chart Ferox equipment selection

Select Chart Ferox cryogenic tanks and systems around the fluid, consumption profile and site layout. Define storage, product delivery and the equipment package boundary.

Zenith vertical storage tanks

The manufacturer identifies Decin and Ornago as Zenith manufacturing sites. The ZVT table distinguishes gross volume from volume at 95% filling. Match the model to the individual tank nameplate before selecting a package or a replacement component.

  • ZVT 3: gross volume 3280 litres
  • ZVT 3: volume at 95% filling 3116 litres
  • ZVT 60: gross volume 60510 litres
  • ZVT 60: volume at 95% filling 57485 litres

CO2nnect storage and truck loading

The manufacturer describes CO2nnect as an integrated liquid CO2 storage and truck loading system. An enquiry should define the source connection, receiving conditions and metering requirements before the package scope is agreed.

  • Liquid pump, couplings and flexible hoses
  • Gas control and safety system
  • Automatic filling system
  • Pressure, temperature and Flowcom metering

LNG receiving systems

The Ferox business page describes small-scale LNG receiving terminals with multiple functions. Define receipt, storage, outbound loading and regasification separately when preparing an equipment package for a local demand profile.

  • Jetty bunkering
  • Road trailer filling hubs
  • Rail car filling hubs
  • Regasification for local energy demand

Nitrogen packages for FLNG

Ferox identifies nitrogen storage and vaporization packages for floating LNG installations. Define nitrogen demand, installation constraints and interfaces with external systems before selecting the equipment scope.

  • Nitrogen storage
  • Nitrogen vaporization
  • Floating LNG application
  • Package defined by the site duty

Identify the installed equipment

Start with an overall photograph and a readable equipment nameplate. Include the model, serial number, manufacturing year and the document used by your maintenance team. Attach the diagram with the requested item marked.

A close view of a damaged part can hide its position in the system, so also show connections to adjacent components. State whether the enquiry concerns one component, an assembly or new equipment.

For an older tank, preserve the designation exactly as shown on the plate. Record valve, pump and instrument markings separately. When a marking is incomplete, provide several photographs with different lighting and a dimension sketch with measurement points identified.

Use one schedule to connect the photographs to their item references. This keeps similar looking parts from different installations distinguishable. The documentation for the actual equipment remains the basis for comparing possible replacements.

Fluid, storage volume and demand

For a storage enquiry, name the fluid and required inventory, then describe receipt and consumption. Separate normal demand, short peaks and idle periods. Provide inlet and outlet conditions, operating pressure and requirements for the downstream network.

This establishes whether the scope concerns storage, liquid delivery or preparation of a gaseous product. For a new package, attach a process diagram and identify the connected consumers.

The Zenith table distinguishes gross volume from volume at 95% filling. Stored mass also depends on the fluid and the conditions, so connect it to the applicable document row. Keep operating conditions separate from design data in the enquiry.

Where demand changes during operation, provide a representative consumption profile and identify loads that must be served together. Agree this basis before comparing equipment packages so that each proposal addresses the same duty and the same package boundary.

Connections and replacement boundaries

Mark inlet, outlet, flow direction and external connections on the diagram for a replacement assembly. Provide dimensions between defined reference points, mounting details and readable markings. State whether the existing piping must remain in place.

List items that will be transferred from the old assembly separately from the requested new components. This defines the supply boundary before alternative arrangements are compared.

Connection size alone does not establish compatibility. The schedule should also identify the fluid, line conditions and installed component designation. Tie instruments to diagram references rather than relying only on front panel photographs.

If the equipment has been modified, attach the current drawing and a change list. Agree the input data with the responsible site engineer, then use one drawing revision for selection and for checking the final equipment scope.

Pump module, valves and instruments

For CO2nnect, divide the enquiry into tank, pump module, couplings, hoses, control and measurement. These functional elements are described in the manufacturer brochure. For a replacement, identify the installed component and its documentation reference.

A pump enquiry benefits from a nameplate, drive details and the connection diagram. For a hose, show both end connections and specify the length with a clear measurement method.

For an instrument, state the measured variable and its process and control interfaces. Photograph the body marking and connection details separately. Keep a request for an instrument assembly distinct from a request for an individual transmitter.

If a complete module is required, define its boundary and list the expected accessories. The system trade name provides useful context, while the installed execution determines the actual component specification and the information needed for comparison.

Site layout and installation scope

Send a site plan showing equipment positions, access routes and maintenance areas. Mark height restrictions, building openings and limitations on lifting large assemblies. For a tank replacement, include available foundation information and connection points.

For a loading system, show the truck access arrangement and the connection to the product source. Identify work that has already been completed at the site.

Separate equipment, external utilities, civil works and installation. Each part needs a clear responsible party and a defined set of input data. A brochure establishes system functions, while the agreed equipment drawing defines the physical interfaces.

Foundation requirements, protective device locations and work procedures follow the project and documentation for the particular installation. Record changes to site conditions in a revised enquiry so they can be considered before the package scope is finalized.

Prepare a selection enquiry

Use a schedule with equipment identifier, diagram item, description, quantity and attachment name. State whether each line represents a component or an assembly. Where similar parts serve several installations, show the quantity for each installation.

Apply the same references to the photographs and the schedule. Label drawing revisions so that the current version is apparent to everyone checking the enquiry.

For new equipment, attach a technical specification instead of a replacement parts list. Define the fluid, inventory, demand profile, outlet conditions and package boundary. Add a site plan and technical handover requirements.

Keep uncertain identifiers as separate rows with an explanation instead of merging them by appearance. After clarification, freeze one schedule revision.

It then becomes easier to verify the selected assemblies and to retain quantity changes without losing their connection to the equipment or the attached files.

Package scope, delivery and receiving

List principal assemblies, connecting components and accessories as separate items when agreeing the equipment scope. State what arrives assembled and which activities are planned at the site. For large equipment, provide route restrictions and unloading conditions.

Connect delivery and packing requirements to the item schedule so that each part of the system can be identified when received.

On receipt, compare package counts, markings and scope against the agreed documents. Record packing damage or identification differences before installation starts. Keep a photograph of each new nameplate with the corresponding schedule item.

Installation, adjustment and startup follow the documentation for the actual equipment and the site procedures.

Preserve the accepted component list and drawings in the equipment record so a later enquiry can begin with the installed execution rather than repeating identification from general appearance.

Chart Ferox equipment scope

The official business description places Chart Ferox in Decin in the Czech Republic and identifies cryogenic solutions for storage, distribution and use of liquefied gases. The relevant equipment groups include Zenith tanks, CO2nnect systems, LNG receiving solutions and nitrogen packages for FLNG.

They help define an equipment function before moving to an individual execution. For an existing installation, its nameplate and documentation remain the main references.

Chart group documents can include products from different operations and manufacturing sites. Record the maker exactly as shown on the equipment plate and include the component marking for a replacement item. A value from a neighbouring series should not be transferred to the installed assembly.

For a mixed installation, separate components by diagram position and maker. The enquiry can then preserve its link to actual equipment while interfaces and the required item scope are clarified.
