Subsea equipment and project scope

Baker Hughes offers subsea production and drilling technologies covering wellheads, trees, manifolds, connections, controls and flexible pipe systems. A procurement enquiry should identify the actual equipment required within the project.

Use the general system arrangement to establish its location, then provide the particular product records that describe the requested assembly and its contents.

Aptara provides a family identity for several subsea solutions, including named manifold, connection and control products. Keep this family identity alongside the complete product designation.

A request for an individual ModPod module, for example, needs that device’s own records; a general Aptara system name does not identify every component installed within it.

Identification and current documentation

Attach a clear marking photograph and the document containing the complete product designation. Preserve the serial number where present in a separate field. For an individual item, include the original reference, applicable parts list and marked drawing position.

Retain suffixes, letter groups and document revisions. Similar appearance or a shared family name does not establish that two products have the same configuration. If equipment has been modified, identify the changed assemblies and provide current records.

For a multi-item request, associate each technical attachment with its enquiry line. Keep quantities separate for complete assemblies, kits and individual components. Where a reference is incomplete or its source is uncertain, mark the gap and attach the available evidence.

Wellheads and subsea trees

For a wellhead enquiry, identify the actual system and product designation, including MS-700 or MS2-800 where applicable to the project. Provide the well system records and relevant assembly documents.

Define whether the request concerns complete equipment, an independent assembly or a particular component; retain the individual references and contents required for that scope.

For subsea trees, preserve the marking of the particular installed or specified product. A replacement assembly needs its own reference and the applicable drawing or bill of materials. Include the parent equipment identity so that the request remains tied to the intended configuration.

Treat a new project requirement separately from a repeat purchase for existing equipment.

Record any retained equipment and documented interfaces within the project arrangement. For a new equipment package, provide the technical assignment and supply boundary. For replacement components, use the current assembly records and required quantities.

Inspection, installation and operating procedures remain within the equipment owner’s established engineering and operational processes.

Manifolds, connections and component boundaries

The Aptara modular compact manifold belongs to the published subsea manifold portfolio. Specify the complete project designation and the requested assembly contents. For an individual pipeline product or manifold component, retain its own reference and applicable drawing position.

A project-level manifold name should not replace the identification of separately requested material items.

For the Aptara FLX360 Multi-Quick Connection System, provide the particular device reference and connection documentation. Identify the required assembly or kit, preserving its listed contents.

Show the relevant location on the project arrangement when the request involves several connection points, and keep independent references associated with their corresponding quantities.

When only part of a system is required, mark the retained equipment and the requested boundary. Keep optional items in separate lines so they do not silently change the contents of the main package.

A revised enquiry should identify the changed rows and maintain the association between product references, quantities and technical attachments.

Controls and independently identified devices

The Aptara Master Control Station and ModPod subsea control module are named control products. Identify each actual hardware device through its own marking, complete type and applicable records.

Preserve the relationship to the system arrangement while keeping independently identified modules, cables and connections separate within the procurement list.

Installation and Workover Control Systems form another published control direction. A request should specify the particular hardware element and its project role.

For a complete system, provide the technical assignment and required contents; for an individual replacement item, use the installed device’s parts list and current assembly documentation.

Software functions, licensing, digital monitoring and service support should appear as separate requirements where relevant. Their presence in the manufacturer’s portfolio does not define the contents of a hardware delivery.

For a new request, identify retained devices and interfaces; for a repeat purchase, compare the original reference with the actual equipment marking.

Flexible pipes, connectors and casing

For a flexible pipe enquiry, distinguish dynamic or static products and the actual riser, flowline or jumper required by the project. Provide the product designation, configuration and applicable technical records.

Keep complete lines, independent jumpers, end connections and separately requested components distinct so that the list accurately represents the equipment scope.

Attach the project conditions and connection details from the original documents. State quantities, lengths and units individually instead of merging different lines into a general set.

When part of an existing installation is retained, show those elements and the new supply boundary on the arrangement. Preserve the individual product records alongside the common project drawing.

For premium connectors, casing or a well access product, retain the complete reference and applicable documentation. Identify the actual assembly being requested and the required contents.

Replacement items should preserve their parent equipment association, original drawing position and quantity, allowing the procurement list to be checked against the corresponding product records.

Supply list, records and receiving checks

Prepare a table containing the project, device, complete type, original reference, serial number where present, quantity and attachment name. For kits, add both the contents and number of kits.

Distinguish essential items from additional reserves and keep changes to quantities separate from changes to the product composition.

State the required documentation and contents before ordering. When the list changes, retain the revised version and mark updated rows. At receipt, compare marking, quantity and contents with the agreed list, keeping the corresponding documents associated with each product.

Preserve that association when equipment is transferred to the responsible project or operating team.

To begin an enquiry, send device markings, the requested item list and available assembly records. Add quantities, a work contact and destination. A new system request should include the project assignment and hardware supply boundary.
