The DESKAR manufacturer
DESKAR is a metal cutting tool brand of Lifeng, based in Wenling. Founded in 2008, the manufacturer lists replaceable inserts, solid end mills, indexable drills and turning toolholders in its official product categories.
Selecting a DESKAR product family
For a repeat purchase, begin with the original box label. It records the complete designation and distinguishes versions that look alike. For a new process, first describe turning, grooving, threading, milling or drilling, then add the workpiece material and the intended result.
If an insert has already been used successfully in your tooling, send its photograph together with the holder or body marking. For a complete assembly, list the body, cutting elements and requested clamping components separately. This makes quotations easier to compare against the same scope.
Reading the full insert designation
Copy the entire box label: the letter family, dimensional code, geometry designation and grade. DNMG150608-PM LF3018 identifies an enquiry more precisely than DNMG alone. A label photograph is useful for checking spaces, hyphens and partially legible characters.
If the marking on a worn insert is unclear, photograph a fresh insert or an original box from the same purchase. Include views of both faces, the fixing hole and the holder seat. An earlier order specification can also help reconstruct the requested version.
Workpiece and cutting conditions
State the material grade of the steel, cast iron, aluminium or other workpiece. Add its measured hardness if available. Describe the allowance, interruptions in the cut, surface scale and condition of the blank. These details help frame a task-specific tooling enquiry.
Separate roughing from the finishing pass. Include the required surface and dimensional tolerance for finishing, or the material allowance for roughing. A drawing excerpt can describe the machined feature more clearly than a general statement about better performance.
When replacing an existing tool, provide the current speed, feed, depth of cut and coolant arrangement. Explain whether the aim concerns wear, chipping, chip formation, finish or operation time. These are enquiry inputs for technical assessment, rather than preselected cutting parameters.
Holder, mounting and clamping parts
For a turning holder, send the complete designation, shank section, length, hand of tool and machine mounting. Photograph the marking and the installed position. If the enquiry concerns only inserts, identify the existing holder as the reference for the cutting-element seat.
For a screw, clamp or support element, add a drawing or dimensions of the original part. Show the thread, head, length and contact position. Photograph the whole assembly before dismantling and the removed component beside a scale where practical.
Grooving, parting and threading
For grooving, provide width, depth, external or internal location and the workpiece diameter at the feature. For parting, add the blank diameter and clamping arrangement. Supplement MGMN or MGGN with the complete insert marking and the actual holder designation.
For threading, send the drawing designation, pitch or threads per unit, and whether the feature is external or internal. Include the cutting direction, material and holder. A label photograph helps record the full ER or IR version without losing the grade suffix.
End mills and milling inserts
For a solid end mill, specify diameter, cutting length, overall length, shank and flute count. Describe the slot bottom, required radius or contour. For a deeper feature, add the available reach and the tool clamping arrangement used on the machine.
For an indexable milling insert, include the cutter-body designation and a photograph of its seat. Preserve the full consumable suffix, such as APKT160408PDER-AL K10. Where several cutter diameters are used, show which insert belongs to each body.
Indexable drilling assemblies
Start a U-drill enquiry with the hole diameter, depth and workpiece material. Add the existing mounting, machine position and coolant information. For replacement, photograph the marking and the complete drill body so the enquiry identifies the assembly in use.
When ordering inserts, provide their full code and position in the drill. Photograph the body seats and the consumable labels separately. Divide replenishment quantities by item instead of supplying a single total for all drilling inserts on the workstation.
Replacing existing tooling
Send the earlier specification and box label for a repeat order. If you want a different version, explain the reason: cutting-edge wear, chipping, unsuitable chips or a changed workpiece material. Photographs of the used insert and machined surface help describe the problem.
The working tool provides a starting point for comparison. Record its dimensions and mounting, then the operation and complete designation. Treat a change in geometry or grade as a specific technical request that can be considered with the production engineer.
When considering an alternative, define the intended evaluation on your own process. Useful observations include dimensions, surface finish, chip behaviour and the number of processed parts. Record the outcome for the named operation and agreed tool combination.
Preparing the enquiry list
Begin with the full designation, quantity and a photograph of the packaging or tool. Add the material, operation and delivery destination. Attach the drawing, documentation or earlier specification to the same enquiry, keeping each file linked to its corresponding item.
For a longer list, use columns for line number, marking, description, quantity and workstation. Include units beside dimensions and describe required assembly contents separately. When selecting tools from the beginning, add the workpiece drawings and the machine interfaces already available.
Identify priority items and any proposed purchasing sequence. For replenishment, describe the existing production use; for replacement, identify the installed tool. A technical contact helps connect geometry questions to the list being prepared for the commercial quotation.
Purchasing a production tooling set
After technical clarification, review the proposed tooling and consumables list with complete designations. Before ordering, agree quantities, assembly contents and required documents.
Add company details and the delivery address so the purchasing request can be prepared for the intended receiving site.
Separate new bodies, replacement cutting elements and clamping parts in the batch. Links to workstations simplify allocation across departments and internal receipt checks. If the enquiry combines several operations, retain their names beside the product codes throughout the specification.
At receipt, compare package labels with the agreed item list. Keep a record of complete designations for repeat enquiries. This links purchasing information to the tools actually used in production and reduces the preparation needed for the next consumables order.
Availability, price, lead time, documents and technical compatibility are assessed for the specific enquiry. This page does not establish official dealership, authorised service or interchangeability between similar tool versions.
