Ultramini miniature boring tools
Ultramini includes inserts for internal turning, grooves, threads and chamfers. Select the cutting element together with its holder, working projection and coolant arrangement when replacing an installed tool.
- Type 050: boring and copying from a bore diameter of 0.2 mm.
- Round and square holders and reduction sleeves are available.
- UM.MASTER is a holder alignment aid.
- Type D: 050…D and P50…D, Dmin 2.0–6.8 mm.
Hardline, Mediline and Xtraline
These Ultramini configurations address different workpieces, cutting geometries and coolant requirements. For a new operation, specify the material, hardness and component dimensions; retain the insert type and suffix for a repeated order.
- Hardline: machining hardened materials up to 66 HRC.
- Mediline M050: small components up to 4 mm.
- Mediline has a coolant channel in its carbide shank.
- X050 Xtraline: reinforced geometry, chipbreaker and coolant channel.
Minicut inserts and holders
Minicut is an internal machining system with end screw clamping of carbide inserts. Its programme covers grooves, boring, copying, chamfers and several internal thread profiles, with the holder and insert specified as separate items.
- Internal machining system from a bore diameter of 7.0 mm.
- 607/608/609/611/614/616/618 holders: steel or carbide configurations.
- Flexohalter V allows adjustment of working length L1.
- 2026 extension: specific full profile ISO inserts with Dmin 7/8 mm.
MF Tools for drilling and boring
MF Tools combines drilling and boring tooling. Identify whether the enquiry concerns an insert, a holder or a complete arrangement for a new operation; include the workpiece material and finished hole geometry.
- Holder groups include 640P–680P.DT and H.MDT.
- Cutting elements include DT and MDR.E/MDL.E/MDN.E.
- MDR.E/MDL.E/MDN.E are listed with a 7.85–33 mm range.
- MDN,F is a special configuration for aluminium.
Swissline for sliding head lathes
Swissline provides parting and turning tools for sliding head lathes. The programme includes external turning, copying and threading tools, together with holders for back machining. Record the installation side when ordering a replacement.

- Holder shank cross sections range from 8 to 25 mm.
- Holders with internal coolant supply are listed.
- UMHV holders address back machining applications.
System DED grooving inserts
DED is a grooving system with three edge indexable inserts. The holder determines the cutting position and accessible depth. State R/L orientation, groove width and insert type, together with the holder already installed on the machine.
- R/L207: widths 0.5–6.5 mm, depth up to 6.0 mm.
- R/L0.780/0.782: the same widths, depth up to 8.0 mm.
- Performanceline: screw holders 208…S5-D and …S5-IK.
- DDP.C…20/CBN for hard machining; DDP.G…20 with a laser chipbreaker.
D-Grooving for grooves and parting
D-Grooving uses single or double edge cutting elements. Blade and holder selection requires the groove width, depth and position, together with the coolant arrangement at the cutting zone. List the cutting element separately from supporting components.
- Programme widths: 2.0–6.0 mm.
- Programme depths: 13.0–50.0 mm.
- Holders and blades are offered with or without internal coolant.
- Identify the cutting element, blade and holder as separate enquiry items.
NHU/NPU slot broaching tools
Dümmel slot broaching tools are used on CNC turning and milling machines and machining centres. Define the slot profile, tolerance and position inside the bore. A sectional drawing helps show the working length and tool exit.
- NHU/NPU system: from a bore diameter of 6 mm.
- Widths 2–5 mm; tolerance classes P9/JS9/H9/D9/C11.
- NPU.SW addresses internal hexagons SW2.5–8.
- Send a section showing slot length and tool clearance.
Mikromill for grooves, threads and chamfers
Mikromill covers groove, thread and chamfer milling. Slotting and profile configurations have different cutting geometries, so start with the feature drawing and complete tool code. Include the shank connection used by the machine holder.
- MA6/MB6/MA8/MB8 slotting configurations: from 6 mm.
- Standard groove width programme: 0.7–2.0 mm.
- Half round profile MA6/MA8/MA10: from 4 mm.
- Round shank and Weldon configurations are listed.
Minimill replaceable cutting elements
Minimill joins the cutting element and holder using a three rib serrated connection. The programme includes three and six edge tools with steel and carbide holders. Specify the holder code and required feature when ordering replacement cutting elements.
- System for bore machining from a diameter of 7 mm.
- ZH8: from 7 mm; ZH10/ZH10.ER: from 10 mm.
- ZH14/ZH14.ER: from 14 mm.
- Tools for retaining ring grooves DIN471/472 are included.
System 500 circular milling
System 500 uses replaceable three edge inserts for circular milling. A parting cutter is listed separately in the programme. For a complete arrangement, identify the operation, tool body and cutting inserts required for the planned setup.
- Indexable inserts have three cutting edges.
- 2025 catalogue: tool diameter Ds from 44 mm.
- 2025 catalogue: minimum bore diameter Dmin from 45 mm.

Rotaline precision boring heads
Rotaline is a high speed finish boring system with digital indication. Send the head designation, machine interface, boring element and reduction sleeve when replacing components or specifying a complete arrangement. Identify which indicator configuration is required.
- Finish boring from a bore diameter of 0.4 mm.
- 40 mm body; applications on compact machines from HSK40.
- ROTA-VAR0319: external; ROTA-HSP0410: integrated indicator.
- Maximum 35000 rpm, to be checked for the selected assembly.
Axaline annular grooving heads
Axaline is a rotating grooving head for machining centres and milling machines. Define the annular groove and required combination of base holder, tool holder and cutting element. List existing components alongside the items needed for the new setup.
- Designed to produce annular grooves.
- Base holders and tool holders form part of the programme.
- Holder variants accommodate Ultramini, Minicut and DED.
- Send the groove profile, mounting interface and required head components.
FM-LINE solid carbide micro end mills
FM-LINE micro end mills machine edges, faces, slots and 3D contours. Match the tip geometry to the workpiece feature, recording cutting and shank diameters separately. Include the working length and projection needed for access to the cutting area.
- Corner radius micro end mills: Ds 0.2–6.0 mm.
- Micro end mills with a 45° chamfer: Ds 0.2–3.0 mm.
- Ball nose micro end mills: Ds 0.2–3.0 mm.
- Specify the tip shape, cutting length and projection.
BM-LINE solid carbide microdrills
BM-LINE includes solid carbide microdrills and pilot configurations. Point angle and drilling depth belong to the selected type. Describe the entry surface and drilling sequence, keeping the pilot and subsequent drilling operations as separate enquiry items.
- 135° pilot drill: 0.8–2.9 mm, depth up to 5×D.
- 128° drill: 0.8–2.9 mm, depth up to 30×D.
- BM…SBF.160: 160° pilot drilling, inclined entry and chamfering.
- SBF.160: 0.8–2.9 mm, up to 2.5×D, 90° countersinking step.
Identify the insert and holder
Copy the full marking, including punctuation, R/L orientation and carbide grade or coating. Photograph the label and holder connection. Number images to match the item list, and specify the quantity for each complete cutting element code.
Bore size, projection and access
Give the bore diameter, depth, working projection, shoulders and profile. Send a section showing the cutting area and installed holder. Minicut Flexohalter V adjusts L1; record insert length, usable projection and holder connection separately.
Grooves, parting and slot broaching
Describe the annular groove, parting cut, internal slot or hexagon. Specify width, depth and access direction; add workpiece diameter for parting. For NHU/NPU, state slot tolerance or hexagon SW dimension and show the tool exit.
Internal thread requirements
Give the standard, diameter, pitch, length and bore type. Minicut includes metric ISO, NPT, Whitworth and trapezoidal threads. The 2026 full profile ISO groups include Dmin 7/8 mm with pitches 0.50–1.25 mm, and Dmin 9/11 mm with pitches 0.5–3.0 mm.
Select the milling arrangement
Specify the finished feature, cutting diameter, working length, tip and mounting connection. Identify the holder and cutting element for a replaceable system. System 500 distinguishes tool diameter Ds from minimum bore diameter Dmin; retain both labels in the enquiry.
Drilling and precision finishing
Give hole diameter, depth, material and entry surface, listing pilot and working drills separately. For Rotaline, identify the head, indicator and sleeve; for Axaline, send the groove profile. State whether complete tooling or individual replacement components are required.
Workpiece material and coolant supply
Specify material grade, condition and hardness, then describe internal or external coolant supply. Retain the full configuration suffix: P50…D identifies internally cooled Ultramini Type D; IK denotes internal coolant in DED holders. List the components already installed.
Prepare a complete system enquiry
For sliding head lathes, provide shank dimensions, position and machining direction; show UMHV relative to the workpiece. Group multiple machine requirements by workstation: system, holder, cutting element, sleeve and quantity. Include existing components and delivery destination.
