Revopoint 3D scanners and equipment

Select a Revopoint scanner against object size, material and the required output. Define the model, scanning mode, software and accessories in one specification.

POP 4: two scanning technologies

POP 4 combines blue multiline laser scanning with infrared structured light. Select the operating mode against the object and the intended result. Identify POP 4 explicitly when requesting accessories; an earlier POP instrument needs its own model designation and connection details.

  • Laser mode: single-frame accuracy up to 0.03 mm.
  • Full-field infrared mode: single-frame accuracy up to 0.08 mm.
  • Provide the object material and overall dimensions.
  • For an accessory, photograph the connection and its marking.

MINI 2: small objects

MINI 2 uses blue structured light. Selection depends on the size of the smallest relevant features, the surface and access to the object. The official specification distinguishes single-frame precision from single-frame accuracy; these figures describe different properties.

  • Single-frame precision is specified up to 0.02 mm.
  • Single-frame accuracy is specified up to 0.05 mm.
  • The working distance is 120–250 mm.
  • Describe the small features and the required mesh-processing result.

INSPIRE 2: phone or computer

INSPIRE 2 combines infrared multiline laser scanning and structured light. Direct smartphone operation applies to full-field scanning. The laser workflow requires a computer connection, so an enquiry should specify the mode as well as the device used to collect the scan.

  • Single-frame accuracy is specified up to 0.05 mm.
  • Identify the intended scanning mode in the specification.
  • Provide the phone model or the computer configuration.
  • List connection cables and power accessories separately.

MIRACO and MIRACO Pro: standalone scanning

MIRACO captures scans and performs basic processing without a separate computer. The infrared scanning system and touchscreen are built into the instrument. Distinguish MIRACO from MIRACO Pro and identify the components already available when selecting a complete package or replacement accessory.

  • The instrument has an integrated 6-inch touchscreen.
  • MIRACO / Pro memory configurations are 16 / 32 GB.
  • Single-frame accuracy is specified up to 0.05 mm.
  • Include the instrument label when requesting an accessory.

MIRACO Plus and photogrammetry

MIRACO Plus has a separate Photogrammetric Metrology Kit for length measurement. The kit uses scale bars and coded targets. A replacement enquiry should identify the original set and its remaining components, so that the proposed item belongs to the correct photogrammetry package.

  • Single-frame accuracy is specified up to 0.04 mm.
  • Length accuracy: 0.02 + 0.05 × L(m) mm.
  • Distinguish PMK components from ordinary scanner accessories.
  • Keep scale bars and coded targets with their original set.

MetroX and MetroX Pro: blue laser scanning

MetroX and MetroX Pro offer blue laser and full-field structured-light scanning. Their operating modes and throughput differ. Use the full model designation in the enquiry and include the software version and workstation details for an instrument already installed.

  • Both specify single-frame accuracy up to 0.02 mm.
  • Identify MetroX or MetroX Pro explicitly.
  • Select the computer against the intended operating mode.
  • Provide the kit list and photographs of the connections.

MetroY Ultra: system specifications

MetroY Ultra combines blue multiline laser scanning and full-field structured light. For dimensional inspection, compare single-frame figures and volumetric accuracy with the object dimensions and the measurement task.

Include the workstation and intended scanning mode in the equipment specification.

  • Single-frame accuracy is specified up to 0.015 mm.
  • Single-frame precision is specified up to 0.01 mm.
  • Volumetric accuracy: 0.015 + 0.04 × L(m) mm.
  • Identify the computer, graphics card and scanning mode.

Trackit SR: scanner and optical tracker

Trackit SR combines a scanner with an external optical tracker. Optical tracking enables scanning without attaching targets to the object.

Identify both instruments and the accessories already available when expanding or restoring a system, and distinguish the SR model from an earlier Trackit package.

  • The wireless connection uses Wi-Fi 6.
  • Single-frame accuracy is specified up to 0.02 mm.
  • System volumetric accuracy: 0.025 + 0.04 × L(m) mm.
  • List the Trackit SR scanner, tracker and system components.

Targets and surface preparation

Select targets and object-preparation accessories against the scanner and operating mode. Send photographs of the packaging, item designation and dimensions. For MIRACO Plus photogrammetry, list PMK coded targets and scale bars separately and identify their original kit.

  • Identify the scanner model and scanning mode.
  • State the target type, size and required quantity.
  • Describe the material and condition of the object surface.
  • For PMK, include the original set identification.

Turntables and mounting accessories

For desktop scanning, describe the object dimensions, mounting method and accessible surfaces. The MIRACO Plus accessory list includes Large Turntable and Dual-axis Turntable. An enquiry should identify the specific turntable configuration and the scanner that will be used with it.

  • Photograph the turntable, support and mounting arrangement.
  • Provide the dimensions and mass of the mounted object.
  • Distinguish a complete turntable from an individual accessory.
  • List the kit contents and number of scanning workstations.

Connections, power and calibration items

Identify a cable, power accessory or calibration item by its marking and connection or mounting location. The MIRACO accessory list includes Large Calibration Board and Power Bank Kit. Provide photographs of the instrument and the item required, together with the existing kit list.

  • Photograph connector ends and the item label.
  • State cable length, quantity and connection location.
  • Identify the calibration board and scanner model.
  • List the missing components and those still available.

Revo Scan, Revo Metro and application software

Data acquisition, reverse engineering and measurement software serve different stages of the workflow. Identify the scanner, installed software version and required deliverable.

Revo Design Personal exports STL; an editable CAD-model requirement should be discussed when selecting the software edition.

  • Select Revo Scan / Revo Metro against the scanner model.
  • Revo Measure supports measurement and scan-to-CAD comparison.
  • Revo Design addresses reverse engineering tasks.
  • List the version and licence separately in the equipment package.

Choose a scanner around the object

Specify the deliverable: a colour model, printable mesh, reverse-engineering geometry or comparison against CAD. Provide dimensions, the smallest relevant features and access around the object. These details define the scanner family, mode and accessories.

Send overall and close-up photographs, including cavities and difficult surfaces. Describe differences between sample products to define the complete package.

Accuracy, precision and object size

Single-frame accuracy, precision, mesh resolution and volumetric accuracy describe different characteristics. In the formulae, L is the length in metres. Compare each model and mode with the object dimensions and feature tolerances.

Include a marked drawing, reference surfaces and an example report. Compare configurations against the same sample and the same required output.

Identify a replacement item precisely

Provide the full instrument designation, serial number and label photograph. For cables, show both connectors and connection locations. For mechanical accessories, include markings, dimensions and the mounting location.

Mark the item in the kit list or manual. List consumable dimensions and quantities, assigning each accessory to its own scanner and workstation.

From a scan to editable CAD

Scanning captures surface data. Subsequent work may involve alignment, mesh cleaning, feature extraction and CAD modelling. Identify destination software and editable features. Printing and design modification require different deliverables.

Provide a sample and describe intended changes to interfaces, holes or contours. Specify the exchange format and Revo Design edition alongside the scanner.

Inspection and acceptance criteria

An inspection specification covers referencing, feature access and report structure. Send CAD or drawings, tolerances and controlled surfaces. Revo Measure supports measurement, scan-to-CAD comparison and geometric-tolerance analysis.

Describe single-part or repeated inspection. Define the sample, coordinates and deviation display to connect the scanner, software and acceptance task.

Calibration accessories and verification

Replacement of a calibration board, the normal calibration procedure and verification of measuring performance are separate requirements. A physical-item enquiry needs the scanner model, photographs of the original accessory and a description of the damage.

For verification, state the expected outcome and required documents.

Identify the MIRACO Plus PMK and remaining components. The manufacturer requires coded targets and scale bars to remain in their original sets.

Workstation, phone and installed software

Provide the operating system, processor, memory and graphics card of the computer. For a phone, include its model and system version. Requirements depend on the scanner and operating mode: INSPIRE 2 full-field smartphone scanning and its computer-based laser workflow are distinct arrangements.

MIRACO operates independently; later CAD work may use a workstation. Identify installed Revo Scan, Revo Metro and application-software versions.

Surface preparation and working space

Describe the material, colour, gloss and transparency of the object. Send photographs taken from the normal working position and close-ups of important features.

Agree any surface preparation with the requirements of the actual part, particularly where coatings, markings or finished mating surfaces must be preserved.

Describe lighting, space and object mounting. Turntables need object dimensions and mass; Trackit SR needs the tracker position and working area.

An itemised equipment package

List the scanner, tracker, turntable, calibration accessories, power equipment, cables and software separately. State quantities and the items already available.

The specification then shows which assemblies are being acquired, which components are being replaced and which existing items will remain in use.

Add the delivery destination, a technical contact and document requirements. For several scanners, provide a list for each configuration. Confirm the model designations, kit contents and packaging against the agreed specification before ordering.

Availability, price, lead time, licences and required documents are checked for each enquiry. This page does not establish official dealer or certified service-centre status. Accessory compatibility is assessed against the specific model, generation and original kit.
