Socorex classic 187 veterinary syringes
Self-refilling syringes use a pistol grip and distinct liquid-feed arrangements. Specify nominal capacity and tube or vial feeding. For replacement barrels and valve components, use the exploded drawing for the relevant configuration and identify the part position.
- Tube-feeding and vial-feeding configurations
- 187.2.05005: 0.5 mL tube-feeding version
- Manufacturer’s spare-parts drawing is available
- Specify barrel capacity and drawing reference
Acura capillar 846 positive displacement pipettes
This family uses an interchangeable glass capillary and plunger for viscous, foaming or volatile liquids. For consumable components, provide the exact working range and colour identification. The Acura family name alone does not describe the required capillary assembly.
- Five models collectively cover 1–200 µL
- Interchangeable glass capillaries
- Plunger with an ETFE tip
- Matched colour identification for components
Spare parts, tips and accessories
Enquiries can cover barrels, valve kits, capillaries, filters and instrument accessories. Qualitix tips and Ecostep syringes are different consumables. Identify the instrument family, catalogue number and packaging quantity so the purchasing list describes each item clearly.
- 0187.005: 0.5 mL glass barrels, pack of 6
- Capillaries and plungers for Acura capillar
- Profiller filters and Acura electro modules
- Qualitix tips by style and nominal volume
Choosing a liquid-handling method
Start with the operation: transferring one volume, filling a row of wells, distributing repeated aliquots or drawing reagent from a bottle. These tasks call for different instrument constructions. Describe the liquid movement, receiving vessel and expected daily workload in the enquiry.
A single-channel pipette serves individual transfers; a multichannel instrument fits a microplate workflow. Compare a Stepper repeater with self-refilling Dosys equipment for repeated dispensing, and consider Calibrex for a reagent bottle.
State how many consecutive operations the workstation performs.
Working range and catalogue identification
A family name does not determine the range of an individual pipette. Acura 825 has several versions with different working volumes and tip arrangements. Copy the complete catalogue number, including decimal points, letters and final digits, from the instrument or its documentation.
State the minimum, usual and maximum transfer volumes for the operation. Specify units clearly: microlitres and millilitres describe different scales.
If a fixed-volume instrument is required, include that condition and the identification of the unit being replaced in the purchasing specification.
Liquid composition and wetted components
For bottle-top dispensers, provide the reagent name, concentration and operating temperature. List the main constituents of a mixture.
These details support a check of the manufacturer’s chemical compatibility information for the components that contact the liquid, before a configuration is selected.
Calibrex organo and solutae have different plunger constructions; Acura capillar uses a direct displacement arrangement. Describe viscosity, foaming and volatility alongside the working volume.
Attach the reagent safety data sheet if it is available as part of the laboratory’s technical specification.
Completing a laboratory workstation
For an electronic pipette, list the charging stand, power supply and volumetric modules already installed. An Acura electro initial package differs from a standalone pipette.
If a new workstation is being equipped, request the complete accessory list alongside the instrument and its selected volume range.
For Profiller, identify the glass or plastic pipettes in use, filter configuration and preferred holder position. A multichannel instrument also needs a channel count and microplate format.
Keep accessory requirements as individual lines so they can be checked during purchasing and receipt.
Selecting tips and dispensing consumables
Tip geometry, nominal volume and the fit to a particular pipette all matter. For Qualitix, state the required style, packaging and laboratory procedure requirements.
A photograph or catalogue label from the pack currently in use helps describe the intended item without relying on a generic tip name.
Stepper uses Ecostep syringes with an appropriate aliquot setting. Acura capillar consumable components include capillaries and plungers. List these independently of conventional plastic tips, even when nominal volumes look similar.
Instrument identification remains part of every consumables enquiry.
Identifying a replacement part
The most useful starting material is a label photograph, an overall instrument view and an exploded drawing with the required position marked. Copy a known part number in full. Photographs of a removed component should retain visible markings and show the orientation of connections.
A glass barrel request needs the nominal capacity and syringe family. A valve assembly request needs the kit number and the required component list. For electronic equipment, also identify the power configuration and the volumetric module fitted to the instrument.
Describing an instrument fault
Describe the observation: leakage, incomplete liquid aspiration, increased plunger resistance, tip ejection problems or failure to charge. State whether it began after cleaning, a fall, a reagent change or storage.
This information helps direct identification of the relevant components for a parts enquiry.
Volume control after maintenance
Working volume and repeatability matter for liquid-handling instruments. After maintenance or replacement of volumetric components, arrange verification through the laboratory’s established procedure.
Provide its acceptance criteria and required documents when specifying the instrument or components to be purchased.
Cleaning, sterilisation and storage
Different instrument families have different constructions and cleaning preparation requirements. State the reagents used, sterilisation procedure and storage method in the request.
This information supports selection of operating components and the relevant documentation for the laboratory’s equipment.
Tube or vial feeding for classic 187
The feeding arrangement forms part of a classic 187 syringe configuration. State the instrument model, nominal capacity and whether liquid enters through tubing or an attached vial. Photographs of the existing connections help describe a replacement or accessory request.
Specification, documents and delivery
Send a list of instruments and parts with their catalogue numbers, ranges and quantities. Include the documents needed at receipt, such as operating instructions, packing information and agreed performance documentation.
Attach the purchasing list so its individual positions remain easy to verify.
For replacement of an existing item, preserve its identification as a separate reference line. Proposed equipment and accessories can then be checked against that original request.
Changes to instrument family, volume range or accessory configuration should be agreed before the order is placed.
Availability, price, delivery time, configuration, documentation and compatibility are confirmed in an individual proposal. This page does not establish dealer or authorised service status. Suitability for a particular procedure is verified by the purchaser.
