EQUIPTOP HITECH

EQUIPTOP vertical machining centres

Compare EQUIPTOP EMV and VMC machining centres around your parts, fixtures and milling operations. Component enquiries can include spindle assemblies, tool changers, feed systems and auxiliary equipment.

Models and components

Compare the families and send your task details. Replacement components are identified against the actual machine configuration.

EMV linear-way series

The official Linear Way Series comprises EMV-600/600APC, EMV-860, EMV-1020, EMV-1100 and EMV-1300. A machine enquiry should start with the drawing and machining requirements. For axis components, record the installed rail and carriage markings and the axis location.

Keep the model and component identifiers together in the requested-parts list.

VMC box-way series

The Box Way Series lists VMC-850, VMC-1000, VMC-1100, VMC-1300 and VMC-1360S. Identify the exact execution before requesting a machine or component. A family designation is not a substitute for an assembly number or mounting dimensions.

Preserve suffixes and include the original documentation when comparing replacement components for an existing machine.

EMV-600 and EMV-600APC

EMV-600/600APC share an official product page. Identify the actual variant in every equipment or parts request, and add a photograph of the work zone and table. The image helps connect the requested assembly to its installation.

Use the machine documents to describe the configuration rather than assuming all machines on the shared page are identical.

EMV-860 and larger EMV models

The range also includes EMV-860, EMV-1020, EMV-1100 and EMV-1300. Compare the working envelope with the part and fixture for a new machine. For repairs, use documentation for the installed machine and record configuration changes made after delivery.

Provide actual travel requirements rather than deriving dimensions from the model number.

VMC-850 and its equipment

The VMC-850 description covers the tool-unclamping mechanism, automatic lubrication and chip removal. Identify the relevant assembly and its drawing reference in a spare-part enquiry. For equipment selection, set out the intended milling operations and auxiliary requirements.

Do not transfer the listed equipment from one VMC model to another without checking the required execution.

Spindle and unclamping mechanism

The manufacturer describes a floating drawbar arrangement intended to keep tool-unclamping force from passing through the spindle bearings. Identify the installed assembly and tool interface when requesting components.

Add photographs of mounting and connections, and clarify whether the scope is the complete spindle, the drawbar mechanism or a particular part of the assembly.

Tool magazine

The EMV and VMC materials mention different tool-change arrangements. State the installed magazine type and number of positions, and photograph the gripper and drive markings. A sensor request requires connector and mounting information as well as its circuit reference.

Describe the stage of the tool-change cycle where the observed problem occurs.

Drives and feedback

When a feed stops, collect the servo motor and amplifier markings, the axis name and the exact fault code. Encoders and cables need connector photographs.

If a component was previously replaced, provide the installed identification and any replacement record so that the enquiry reflects the current machine rather than an outdated equipment list.

Ball screws, supports and couplings

For a ball screw, record length, pitch, nut shape and the machining of both ends. Supports and couplings need their own markings and fit dimensions. An assembly drawing helps define the package and prevents an individual part being mistaken for a complete assembly.

Identify whether the existing supports and coupling will be retained.

Guideway protection

Telescopic covers require photographs from several sides and dimensions at their compressed and extended positions. Identify the axis, direction of movement, number of sections and mounting points.

If only brushes or wipers are needed, add their cross-section dimensions and attachment details so that the enquiry is scoped to the intended service component.

Lubrication, coolant and chips

The official pages list automatic lubrication, chip augers and auxiliary fluid-delivery equipment. Identify each installed unit from its plate and connections. Keep a pump, geared motor, filter and pipework as distinct enquiry lines.

Include electrical information and mounting dimensions, and define whether a complete unit or individual replacement items are required.

Milling requirements

Attach representative part drawings, materials and blank dimensions. Separate roughing and finishing operations and state the required tolerances and batch size. Include existing tools and fixtures if they must be reused.

This provides a practical basis for comparing machine configurations, workholding and tool access instead of selecting only by a nominal model designation.

Start with the production task

Send a representative drawing with the surfaces and operations to be completed on the proposed machine clearly marked. Include the workpiece material, condition before machining and the dimensions of the incoming blank.

If several parts share the same process, provide the largest, heaviest and most demanding examples rather than only the easiest component.

Describe the batch size and the way work reaches the machine. A single-piece repair task and a recurring production batch have different loading and operating needs. State whether the enquiry concerns a new operation, replacement of an existing machine or additional capacity.

If current equipment provides a useful reference, include its model and the limitations you want to address.

Workholding and usable space

The part drawing is only one part of the working envelope. Add the vice, magnetic chuck, fixture plate, clamps, centres or other locating equipment used by the proposed process. Show the intended orientation and any access restrictions.

Calculate the relevant load using the workpiece and the equipment carried with it, with units stated consistently.

Record the dimensions needed for loading, tool approach and unloading as well as the nominal machining travel. If existing fixtures must be reused, include their mounting details and photographs. Explain which dimensions are fixed by your process and which can be changed during configuration.

This keeps a useful production requirement separate from an assumption about a particular machine.

Define the configuration

Separate essential functions from preferred options in the enquiry. Essential functions come from the part, operation and drawing requirements. Additional items can concern loading, the control arrangement, workholding, filtration, coolant management or tooling.

List these explicitly so that different proposed configurations can be compared against the same technical brief and the same expected scope of supply.

For an existing EQUIPTOP machine, record the complete model, serial number and year shown on the nameplate. Preserve suffixes such as CNC or APC. Include changes made during earlier repairs or upgrades, particularly for controls, drives and auxiliary units.

The installed markings and the appropriate machine documents help identify the configuration that actually requires support.

Tooling and service components

List the tools, holders, wheels, fixtures and consumables needed for the intended operation separately from the base machine. Give dimensions, material and mounting details where available. If an item already exists at your facility, identify whether it must be reused or is only a reference.

This avoids treating an optional accessory as part of every machine package.

A spare-part line should contain the machine model, component name, part number, quantity and the related photograph or drawing reference. An item number on an illustration is not necessarily a purchase part number: include the linked parts table.

For a complete assembly, list the associated components that must be included so the quotation can be checked against your maintenance request.

Information when a part number is missing

Photograph the whole assembly and then its identification, connections and mounting points. Record fit dimensions with units instead of relying on a picture alone. Electrical components need their own nameplates and connector details; mechanical items need the relevant shafts, holes and interfaces.

A marked assembly drawing can explain the location more clearly than a long written description.

Describe a fault as an observation: what stops, under which operating conditions and what the display reports. Keep a suspected replacement part separate from that observation. Include previous component changes and modifications.

For an intermittent issue, a short description of the sequence helps frame the request; a symptom alone does not establish the correct replacement component.

Installation and acceptance brief

Provide the destination and the practical constraints for placing the machine: access dimensions, unloading arrangements, available floor area and relevant utility information. State the documents required by your receiving process.

These details should be discussed together with the machine configuration rather than added after a technical specification has already been compared or accepted internally.

Identify the representative part and the measurements that will be used to assess the intended process. Keep drawing tolerances, surface requirements and production expectations explicit.

Before agreeing a supply scope, compare model designations, accessories, component quantities and any proposed differences line by line. Retain the agreed specification for receiving and installation checks at your facility.

Scope and confirmation

Stock, price, lead time, origin, dealer status, certification and compatibility are not stated without checking the specific item. The proposed configuration and supply terms are confirmed during quotation. Catalogue values must be checked against the documentation for the required execution.
