BAKER HUGHES GAS CONTROL

Becker Control Products

Specify Becker Control Products equipment for the installation: valve, actuator and control devices. Identify replacement components from each unit’s markings and parts drawing.

Valves, actuators and control devices

Define the mechanical valve, actuator, positioner or pilot. Attach the project specification for new equipment and each installed device’s documents for maintenance parts.

T-Ball pipeline control valves

T-Ball is a control-valve family for gas applications. Identify the body, connections and internal trim from the equipment documentation. For a complete assembly, include the actuator and control-device requirements.

For a spare part, provide the installed valve reference and the relevant item in its parts drawing.

T-Ball anti-surge valves

Baker Hughes identifies a T-Ball anti-surge application for compressors. Associate the enquiry with the compressor installation and project equipment tag. Define the valve, actuator and control components included in the scope.

Preserve the project’s required function and operating cases when specifying a complete replacement assembly.

RPSR spring-return actuators

RPSR is a rotary piston actuator with spring return. Provide the actuator’s own marking, the valve designation and the mounting-interface drawing. Distinguish the actuator alone from an assembly including brackets and coupling components.

For internal parts, identify the item in the documentation for the installed actuator.

RPDA double-acting actuators

RPDA is a double-acting rotary piston actuator. Preserve the full configuration reference, supply arrangement and mounting interface. For replacement components, use the actuator’s own parts documentation.

Include the associated valve and identify any existing mounting components that must be retained in the proposed assembly.

HPP pneumatic positioners

The HPP family includes HPP-4, HPP-5 and HPP-SB. Identify the exact positioner, documented input signal and installed actuator. State whether the enquiry covers a complete instrument or components from its parts list.

Keep connection and mounting information associated with the particular installed configuration.

DNGP digital positioners

DNGP is used with pneumatically actuated control valves in gas applications. For replacement, provide the device marking, documented version and connection diagram. Identify the control signal and associated actuator from the project records.

List mounting and connecting accessories separately from the complete instrument.

VRP pressure-control pilots

VRP provides pneumatic pressure control for gas applications. Preserve the complete pilot designation, including suffixes, and identify the associated valve and actuator. Attach the applicable impulse-line diagram.

For a replacement component, use the pilot’s own manual and specify the required drawing item and quantity.

Parts and auxiliary equipment

Identify seals, valve internals, actuator components and auxiliary devices by their documented references. Baker Hughes separately lists documents for FD 1500, VB, NBV and MCV.

Retain each installed device’s designation, connections and quantity, distinguishing a complete unit from a replacement element or maintenance kit.

Selection inputs

Service medium, pressures, flow, temperature, connections, project function and control scope. Identify existing components that must be retained.

Components for an installed assembly

Each device’s complete marking, serial number, drawing item, documented material and quantity. Separate the valve, actuator, instruments and auxiliary equipment.

Becker Control Products and the equipment scope

Becker Control Products belongs to the Baker Hughes valve business. Its portfolio addresses gas-flow control through valves, pneumatic actuators, positioners and pilots. Separate the mechanical valve from the equipment that operates it.

A complete control assembly can contain several independently identified devices, each with its own nameplate and parts documentation.

This enquiry concerns gas-control equipment such as T-Ball, RPSR, RPDA, HPP, DNGP and VRP. Preserve the manufacturer shown on the equipment marking: vacuum pumps bearing the Becker name belong to a different equipment business.

An overall photograph and readable nameplates help identify the intended product group.

State the procurement task and site equipment tag. Distinguish new equipment, a replacement assembly and maintenance components before preparing the detailed specification.

Identification across the complete assembly

Record the valve model, serial number, connections and documented trim. Identify the actuator separately, including its mounting interface. Then record the positioner or pilot and any auxiliary devices. Keep each item linked to the same assembly tag while preserving its own complete reference.

Provide readable photographs of every nameplate and an applicable schematic. For a spare part, attach the drawing for the device to which it belongs. A drawing position without the document title or equipment reference can identify different items in different assemblies.

For repeat orders, include the previous confirmed specification alongside current equipment markings. If the assembly was modified, provide the updated arrangement and component list. Keep obsolete warehouse descriptions distinguishable from the installed configuration.

T-Ball trim and anti-surge applications

For a pipeline control valve, retain the body, connection and internal-trim references from the equipment documents. Different trim configurations belong to the T-Ball portfolio, so the family name alone does not identify the required internal component.

Preserve the drawing item and documented material for each spare.

For anti-surge equipment, link the enquiry to the compressor installation and project position. Define the valve, actuator and control devices included in the purchase. Submit the operating cases, medium, connections and project requirements for the assembly.

Keep parts requests associated with the relevant device rather than only the general compressor manual.

During planned maintenance, separate valve internals, actuator parts and instruments. Mark essential repair positions and additional stock individually, keeping a consistent scope for quotation comparison.

RPSR and RPDA actuator selection

Distinguish the spring-return RPSR from the double-acting RPDA. Retain the complete actuator reference and serial number. A complete replacement request should include the valve information, mounting drawing and required project function.

An internal-part request should identify the applicable actuator manual and drawing item.

Show the shaft interface, bracket and coupling arrangement. State whether these components are included with the actuator or retained at the site. Where locally manufactured adapters are used, provide their drawings separately from the original actuator documentation.

Attach the pneumatic connection diagram for the actual installed configuration. Preserve the supply and operating requirements from the site documents. For a maintenance kit, provide its complete reference and contents, keeping the set associated with the specific actuator.

HPP pneumatic positioners

Identify the installed HPP-4, HPP-5, HPP-SB or other documented designation. Provide the nameplate, connection arrangement and actuator information.

A complete positioner request should include the required input signal and project function; an internal component needs the parts reference for that exact instrument.

For replacement, show the mounting, feedback linkage and pneumatic connections. State which surrounding components remain installed. Photographs support the specification and help define whether accessories belong in the purchase or are already available.

Keep the positioner as a separate line from the valve and actuator. When multiple instruments have similar warehouse descriptions, preserve their complete models and serial numbers so different configurations remain distinguishable in the order.

DNGP digital equipment and control connections

Provide the DNGP marking and documented configuration, including the version where identified in the equipment records. Attach the connection diagram and identify the associated actuator and valve. State whether the request covers the complete device or an individually documented component.

Copy control-signal, power and interface requirements from the current system documents. Where replacement is part of an upgrade, separate the new requirements from the information describing the removed instrument. This distinguishes a repeat purchase from a changed project configuration.

List mounting accessories and connection components separately. Photographs of cable entries, mounting points and pneumatic ports can supplement the drawings. For several instruments, organize the attachments by control-system tag and identify the relevant drawing revision.

VRP pilots and auxiliary components

Preserve the full VRP designation and suffixes; the document centre separately lists VRP-CH material. Identify the associated valve, actuator and pressure-control task. Attach the impulse-line diagram. A pilot component should be referenced through the pilot’s own parts list.

FD 1500, VB, NBV and MCV have separate product documents. Use the installed designation rather than only a general description of the component’s function. Record its connections, assembly association and quantity. Distinguish replacement elements from complete devices.

For tubes and fittings, describe both connection ends and retain the applicable schematic. Identify which items already exist and which are included in the new scope. A dimensioned drawing supports requests for a nonstandard connecting section.

Project list, documents and receiving

Use a list containing the site tag, manufacturer, full model, serial number, part reference, quantity and attachment name. For new equipment, add the service medium, pressure and flow cases, temperature, connections and required function. Preserve units and separate different operating cases.

Agree the document requirements before ordering. Identify any relevant language, marking and equipment-reference requirements. Keep mechanical components and electronic devices linked to their respective documentation within the common purchase list.

On receipt, compare markings, quantities and contents with the agreed scope. Check different configurations separately and retain the final references against the installation records.

To start an enquiry, send the nameplates, required scope, quantities and a work contact, with the delivery destination and priority positions.

Confirmation of scope

Availability, price, lead time, distributor status, certificates and compatibility are not stated in advance. Configuration, supply scope and documents are confirmed for the specific enquiry.

Send the technical requirement

Send the project requirement or parts list with device markings, quantities, a work contact and delivery destination.
