Festo Didactic technical-training equipment
Specify Festo Didactic learning systems from the curriculum, workstation count and existing laboratory. Identify maintenance components for TP, MPS and CP Lab separately.
TP 101 and TP 201 pneumatic training
TP 101 covers basic pneumatics and TP 201 covers electropneumatics. Specify the training objective and distinguish the equipment set from individual components required for an existing workstation.
- TP 101: basic pneumatic training.
- TP 201: electropneumatic training.
- Identify existing components separately for replacement.
TP 501 and TP 601 hydraulic training
The official learning programme links TP 501 with hydraulics and TP 601 with electrohydraulics. Define the required learning setup and document existing components when preparing a maintenance or expansion enquiry.
- TP 501: basic hydraulic training.
- TP 601: electrohydraulic training.
- List workstation components and required quantities.
MPS mechatronic production stations
MPS stations can be used independently or combined into a training production line. Select stations around the required learning process and identify the exact station and assembly for replacement components.
- MPS is a modular mechatronics learning platform.
- Individual stations can form a linked training line.
- Provide the station layout and the intended learning operation.
CP Lab connected-production training
CP Lab is a modular I4.0/IIoT learning system. The documented base includes a control cabinet and pallet conveyor, with a touch panel and application module forming part of the workstation arrangement.
- The base module includes a cabinet and conveyor.
- A touch panel and application module are listed.
- Define workstation layout, learning goals and existing connections.
FluidSIM circuit simulation
FluidSIM supports the creation and simulation of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical circuit diagrams. Define the technology, existing software environment and intended use separately from the physical laboratory equipment.
- Circuit design and interactive simulation.
- Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical technologies.
- Describe the required user environment and current version.
Festo LX learning content
Festo LX is a digital learning portal combining learning content and practical exercises associated with training systems. Describe the existing laboratory and required subjects when considering a coordinated learning setup.
- Digital learning content for technical education.
- eLab exercises relate to physical training systems.
- Define workstations, subjects and the existing equipment set.
Curriculum and workstation planning
Start with the skills learners should develop: assembling a pneumatic circuit, controlling a process, connecting sensors and actuators or observing a training line. Describe the starting skill level and the lesson format. These inputs help define the equipment enquiry and distinguish an initial laboratory setup from later extensions. A list of practical exercises gives the equipment discussion a clear educational purpose and makes the intended scope easier to explain.
State the number of groups working at the same time and the equipment expected at each workstation. If a laboratory is already installed, attach an inventory with system models and actual components. Mark what will be retained, what is missing and which subjects are being added. The enquiry can then be assessed against an existing learning environment rather than a family name or a general description of technical education.
Pneumatics and electropneumatics
TP 101 and TP 201 correspond to different learning tasks: pneumatics and electropneumatics. Identify the required exercises and the components already available. List a complete equipment set, the workstation arrangement and individual additions separately. Where several stations should have the same configuration, provide the scope of one station and the total number of repeated sets. This creates a clear basis for comparing equipment requirements and quantities.
For an operating laboratory, provide component labels and a list of the equipment actually installed. Mark items intended for repair, replacement or expansion. An individual-part enquiry should include its own identification and its position in the training circuit. This connects the curriculum, the existing workstation and the component requirement without assuming that every laboratory carrying the same training-package number has an identical present-day configuration.
Hydraulics and electrohydraulics
For a TP 501 or TP 601 enquiry, describe the learning objectives and the existing workstation scope. Attach the circuit, component list and installation requirements. A new setup, an expansion and a maintenance component call for different starting information and should be identified separately. Where equipment is being planned for several rooms, divide the requirement by workstation and state the quantities expected at each location.
A hydraulic-training component enquiry should show the installed label and connections. Photographs of mounting positions and the available equipment-set list are useful for accessories. Identify whether the requirement is a complete assembly or an individual element. If a laboratory has changed over time, provide its current configuration. Comparing the original inventory with photographs helps explain how the equipment in use now relates to the available documentation.
MPS stations and a linked training line
MPS supports the use of individual stations as well as their combination into a training process. Describe the operations that the lessons should demonstrate and the intended sequence of work. Attach a floor layout and the station list where these have already been selected. This keeps the discussion focused on the structure of a particular learning line instead of treating an unspecified number of modules as a complete project definition.
For an extension, mark the new and retained stations and provide the current connection arrangement. A replacement enquiry should identify the station, its function and the component itself. Keep operating modules, accessories and maintenance spares in separate groups. The scope of a new training line and the parts needed to restore individual working stations can then remain distinguishable when the equipment list and quotation are reviewed.
CP Lab and connected production
For CP Lab, describe the intended learning tasks involving equipment, data and production processes. State the current layout, workstation count and planned extension. The documented system includes a base module with conveyor and control cabinet, a touch panel and application modules. These elements can be separated in the enquiry and related to the particular exercises or projects that the laboratory is expected to support.
If equipment is being retained, include its identification, drawings and actual connections. List mechanical modules, electrical elements and software separately. For a replacement part, mark the installation position in a photograph. These inputs allow a proposed arrangement to be discussed relative to the existing system and help avoid including components that are already available or outside the intended boundaries of the laboratory extension.
FluidSIM, Festo LX and physical equipment
FluidSIM concerns circuit design and simulation, while Festo LX provides digital learning content and practical exercises. Describe the required technologies, workstation count and present software environment. Physical equipment and digital products should be listed independently. A laboratory hardware list should not be assumed to include every associated teaching resource or software product; the requested learning configuration needs an explicit scope for each part of the project.
Identify the courses that digital exercises should support and the systems used for practical work. An extension enquiry benefits from the training-system model, current software version and the instructor's intended tasks. Initial requirements can be described without account information. Equipment components, teaching resources and software can then be considered as distinct elements of an overall learning arrangement, with the existing environment clearly identified as the starting point.
Maintain an installed laboratory
Prepare an inventory for each workstation, showing the system, actual components, items needing attention and the desired maintenance-spares scope. Attach a component label and circuit position for each requirement. State explicitly if the aim is to restore the former configuration. If a new teaching module is also being planned, keep that equipment list separate from the parts required for the immediate maintenance task.
Number similar-looking items in photographs and use the same numbers in the enquiry list. Information about earlier replacements helps relate the documentation to the current equipment. A responsible laboratory contact can clarify technical details during review. The agreed list should distinguish a single part, an accessory set, a functional module and a complete workstation so that their different boundaries remain clear throughout the equipment discussion.
Scope, documents and delivery planning
For a quotation, provide system names, complete item designations, quantities and the required contents of each set. Identify the destination country, packaging requirements and documents expected for receiving the equipment. If a project requires staged supply, group the list by workstation or project section. Use the same item numbering in the technical description and purchasing list so that clarifications can be traced to a single agreed requirement.
Before ordering, check what the proposal includes, what the customer already has and which additions are considered separately. Keeping the original curriculum together with the accepted equipment list is useful for a training project. It provides a concrete reference during later scope clarification and receiving. Where a full list is still being developed, the enquiry can begin with photographs and a description of the current laboratory and its planned learning tasks.
Availability, price, lead time, origin, scope and documents are agreed for the specific enquiry. Dealer status and universal interchangeability are not claimed. Software availability and licence conditions are checked separately; digital learning resources are not automatically included with physical equipment.
