Separation equipment manufacturer
Haiwang develops separation equipment and process solutions for classification, mineral preparation and slurry handling. Its portfolio includes hydrocyclones, slurry pumps, vibrating screens, spiral separators and fluidized bed separators. Applications include ore, coal and sand processing.
Wear materials, environmental systems and process automation are presented as separate business areas.
Selecting a separation unit for the process
Start with the installation point in the flowsheet. A cyclone after a mill, a desliming unit and a sand recovery system receive different feeds, so the same body diameter does not describe the required separation duty.
Identify which stream is the target product: overflow, underflow, concentrate or rejected material. Define the permitted particle size, solids content and next operation for each stream to select separation together with neighbouring equipment.
When replacing a single unit, include the connection layout and operating values before shutdown. A new cyclone cluster also needs normal and peak loading and the start-up conditions that determine how many cyclones operate together.
Feed data for an FX hydrocyclone
Specify slurry flow, density, solids content and particle size distribution. Include pressure at the inlet, pipe elevations and feed pump characteristics so the enquiry describes the hydraulic system that the cyclone will actually operate in.
The spigot and overflow pipe influence flow distribution alongside inlet chamber and cone geometry. Replacement internals require diameter, length and seating dimensions; photographs work best when accompanied by a dimensioned sketch of the component.
Multi-cone and spiral inlet constructions address different classification duties. A catalogue separation size refers to the listed model and conditions; slurry concentration, pressure and particle characteristics must be considered for the particular process.
Dense medium preparation of coal and minerals
An FZJ enquiry should define product count and feed arrangement first. A two-product unit and a three-product system produce different process streams; compare the flowsheet before moving to the dimensions and operating load.
State feed particle size, solids throughput and suspension flow separately. These quantities use different units and should be accompanied by medium density and the expected distribution of heavy and light fractions in the process.
For an installed unit, include chamber, lining and connection identifiers. Inspect mating components when replacing a worn section: changes in internal passages influence flow even when the external dimensions of the body remain unchanged.
Slurry pump duty and supply scope
HW pump selection starts with flow and total head at the intended duty. Give pipe length and diameter, elevation difference, valves and slurry properties to match the pump to the resistance of the connected system.
The choice of rubber, alloy or polyurethane depends on particle size and shape, chemistry and temperature. Preserve the full series designation and material letters of the installed pump when requesting an impeller or wear liner.
Add rotational speed, motor power and drive details. For an impeller or volute replacement, a drawing and markings help because pumps with a similar appearance may use different fits and different internal component geometry.
Screen design and panel configuration
Define the screening operation: selecting a size class, preliminary separation or dewatering. Feed properties and the required aperture help select panel construction and assess the working surface needed for the intended material load.
In the ZKJ1007-D multi-deck design, feed is distributed between decks. State deck count, screen area and feed distribution; a single replacement panel also needs its position, attachment arrangement and the details of adjacent supports.
ZKK, ZKB, ZKB/C, ZKJ, ZKX and YKX require a complete model designation and machine layout. Linear, circular and FLIP-FLOP movement place different demands on the panel geometry and its attachment to the machine.
Spiral separators in a gravity circuit
Spiral separator selection depends on mineral composition, feed size range and slurry concentration. Choose the LXB or LXA model together with the number of starts and the required concentrate, intermediate product and tailings streams.
Catalogue throughput is stated per start. Record unit count, starts and distributors when specifying a complete installation so the equipment list represents the whole separation block rather than just one spiral surface.
Provide the feed distribution arrangement and splitter positions. For an installed unit, photographs of each level should identify the repair area: local channel wear, a damaged support and uneven feed require different replacement components.
Fluidized bed separator water and discharge
Choose CF or FBS according to process duty, feed properties and the available upward water flow. Input data should include water flow and pressure alongside the target separation density or particle size for the process.
The overflow and bottom product discharge arrangements also matter. Include elevations and pipe resistance with the feed description so the supply boundaries address the actual installation within the existing plant building.
For separator automation, list sensors, the actuator and the existing control system. Specify signals, supply power and current settings to coordinate replacement of an individual component with control of the wider process chain.
Sand and water balance for FS/XFS
Prepare a balance of the incoming mixture: water quantity, solids flow and fine particle content. For FS, distinguish mixture capacity from sand recovery; an XFS enquiry also needs the requirements of the washing operation.
Define the target recovered particle size and the moisture required after screening. These values connect cyclone and pump selection to the dewatering area, sump volume and the feed delivered to the sand washer.
Show clarified water return and residual sludge discharge. State seasonal water changes, the recirculating circuit and sediment collection points because the system layout begins with the movement of every incoming and outgoing stream.
Layout and maintenance access
Provide a site plan with elevation marks for new equipment. Show walkways, lifting access and the space needed to remove internal components so the body, frame and pipework remain accessible during regular maintenance.
Define responsibility for foundations, power and pipe connections. Separate these works from the supplied units in the specification, especially when purchasing an integrated system rather than an individual hydrocyclone or slurry pump.
List the documents needed for acceptance: outline drawing, component list, connection layout, equipment passport and instructions for the agreed version. Controlled equipment also requires a signal list and a description of start-up modes.
Information to include in a Haiwang enquiry
Send the model, nameplate photographs and an overall view of the installed unit. For a spare component, add its marking, assembly drawing reference, seating dimensions and the quantity of identical items required.
Describe the task as a measurable result: the required size class, throughput, product stream or replacement of a worn element. Add current operating values and site conditions that influence mounting and connections to the process.
For a new project, include the flowsheet, feed analysis and proposed layout. Repair enquiries benefit from replacement history, wear photographs and the actual material designation used for the existing internal components.
Dealer status, stock, price, lead time, certificates and process outcomes are confirmed only for the agreed scope. Equipment versions and operating characteristics are checked against the selected specification and technical documents.
