Dohle industrial sewing machines
Select Dohle equipment for joining textile and carpet webs, or request parts for an installed machine. Send the model or describe your material, required joint and production operation.
Variant-L7, L8 and L9
Rail mounted butt seaming machines for textile and carpet webs. Keep the full L suffix in a parts enquiry, together with the machine serial number. For a complete machine, describe the material and the connection required by the next production operation.
- Approximate seam widths: 28 / 40 / 50 mm
- Cutting and sewing in one process
- L9 uses a different cutter size from L7/L8
- Send the variant, serial number and assembly photo
Variant-S7, S8 and S9
Stand mounted machines provide a movable sewing position. A pinned wheel moves the fabric through the head. When enquiring about a feed assembly, show its working surface, mounting arrangement and contact with the material; identify whether the request is for a component or the complete assembly.
- Approximate seam widths: 28 / 40 / 50 mm
- Single thread butt seam
- Integrated cutting and knife grinding
- Include the nameplate and fabric description
Rapid-L and Rapid-S
Rapid-L runs on a rail system; Rapid-S is stand mounted. Rapid-S combines a feed wheel and an upper belt without pins. State which arrangement is installed before requesting a sewing head component or a transport part, and include a photograph showing how the fabric passes through the machine.
- Seam widths: 12 or 20 mm
- For light to medium materials
- Rapid-L has a 60 mm cutting knife
- Specify L or S and identify the feed assembly
L28 and L40
Compact rail mounted machines with a broad support table. In a repair enquiry, distinguish fabric holding from movement of the sewing head. A drawing reference is useful for identifying the requested part; add an installation photograph so that the position within the machine is clear.
- Approximate seam widths: 28 or 40 mm
- Single thread flat butt seam
- 100 mm cutting disc
- Include mounting details, dimensions and quantity
L452 and T451
L452 is rail mounted, while T451 uses a stand and a feed dog system. Retain the complete model number in an enquiry. Describe the thickness of each layer separately and provide a seam sample or drawing, particularly where the joint must pass through another production stage.
- Seam widths: 16, 20 or 24 mm
- Stated material thickness: 2 × 4 mm
- T451 has an approximately 50 mm knife
- Identify the machine and required joint
Dohle 852 and 952
Heavy rail mounted machines for broad butt seams. For a replacement cutting assembly, photograph its drive and nameplate separately from the sewing head. For a complete installation, provide the fabric width, required sewing travel and an outline of the available working space.
- Maximum seam width: 70 mm for 852; 90 mm for 952
- Cutting unit with a separate motor
- Integrated knife grinding device
- Specify the model, material and assembly drawing
Ultra-Super
A rail mounted machine for demanding, stiff materials. Its stepped travel slows the movement while the needle is in the fabric.
For a service enquiry, describe the point in the cycle where the problem appears and identify the mechanism involved, rather than requesting a complete head without supporting detail.
- Seam width up to 50 mm
- Separate motor for the cutting device
- Several fabric holding arrangements
- Send symptoms, serial number and mechanism photos
Chain stitch: 621/721 and 622/722
621/721 are stand mounted; 622/722 are rail mounted. Identify the number of needles and the spacing between stitch lines when requesting a machine or sewing components. A photograph of the existing seam helps describe the intended result and separates a feed problem from a stitch formation problem.
- 621/622: light to medium fabrics
- 721/722: medium heavy to heavy fabrics
- Two needle option: 6 mm for 621/622; 10 mm for 721/722
- Edge cutting is an optional configuration
Special machines and automation
Dohle describes engineering capabilities in fabric holding, automated sewing, electronic process control and repair tufting. Start an enquiry with the production operation and material, then attach a layout. Specify the handover to adjacent equipment and the actions expected from the operator.
- Automatic fabric fixation
- Automated sewing operations
- Electronic sewing process control
- Provide the operation, layout and required interfaces
Parts identified by assembly and drawing
Send enquiries for sewing head, cutting, feeding and fabric holding components with the drawing position and quantity. If a marking is unreadable, add an overall machine photograph and clear views of the part. State whether adjacent items are required as a set or individually.
- Sewing mechanism and guides
- Knife, grinding unit and cutting drive
- Feed, clamping and fabric holding components
- Provide the part number, dimensions and photographs
Define the required joint
Describe the result before choosing a model: joining roll ends or connecting prepared pieces. Include a sketch of the edges and a photograph of a satisfactory seam.
Explain whether the connection remains in the product, travels through rollers or is opened later. Record the allowed joint thickness, appearance requirements and the operation that follows sewing.
Describe the material
Provide the composition, thickness of each layer, roll width and coating. For carpet, photograph the face and backing; for fabric, show the edge; for foam, show a cross section.
Describe the condition of the material, its supports and any applied tension. If the machine will handle several products, list the range and identify the most demanding sample.
Rail system or movable stand
State whether the head should move across a held web or the material should pass through a stand mounted machine. Show the feed direction, supports and operator access on a layout.
For replacement equipment, photograph the station and mark the fabric working level. Identify retained frames or tables, with dimensions and restrictions imposed by adjacent equipment.
Read the complete nameplate
Photograph the nameplate and transcribe the complete model, including its suffix. Assign each item to its machine: similar looking units can have different feeding, clamping or cutting arrangements.
For electrical parts, include the component nameplate and connector photographs. Keep original images alongside your typed list to resolve ambiguous characters, and identify modifications already fitted to the machine.
Use the drawing position
Start with the machine model, drawing position and quantity. Include the whole drawing page, retaining the assembly heading and nearby references. Specify an individual component or a complete assembly.
Photograph a removed part beside a ruler, showing its overall shape, mounting surfaces, holes and markings. List dimensions with units and identify the installation position.
Cutting and edge quality
Describe the observed result: an uneven edge, missed cut or mark on the material. Photograph both sides of the knife, its mounting and, where relevant, the drive nameplate.
Add images before and after the pass. Record changes to the fabric, cutter or settings before the fault appeared, and specify whether you need a part or an assembly assessment.
Feeding and fabric holding
Show the material path and its contact with the wheel, belt or clamp. Identify where layer movement appears: before the head, at the seam or after sewing.
Separate working components, fasteners and drives in your list. Specify the contents of a required set; photograph holding mechanisms in engaged and released positions and label the machine side.
Electrical supply and line integration
Provide the voltage, phases, frequency and available site connections. A replacement electrical component needs its own marking and connector details. Separate the required function from a proposed connection method.
Identify the cycle start command, completion signal and next material destination. Add required signals, documentation requirements and a layout showing the boundary between new and retained equipment.
Service and repair enquiries
Describe when the fault occurs, the affected material and whether it happens on every pass. Send seam photographs, assembly views and the nameplate, noting recent component changes.
State whether you need a spare part or a repair assessment. Highlight the critical item if production has stopped. Keep observed symptoms separate from an assumed cause.
Prepare the procurement list
Use one row per item: model, serial number, part or drawing reference and quantity. Match photograph names to the list. Include the destination, technical contact and document requirements.
List equipment, parts and accessories separately. Compare alternative machines using the same material and production task. Before ordering, check the agreed designation and contents against your original enquiry.
Availability, price, lead time, documents and compatibility are checked for each enquiry. Official dealership or authorised service status is not claimed; the agreed specification defines the equipment and supply scope.
