  • MTH968: COM Express Type 6
  • RPS9HC: COM-HPC
  • SMARC and Qseven product families
  • Modules and carrier boards are separate items

EC511-ADS industrial computers

Define the complete system scope: processor, memory, storage, expansion devices and operating system. For replacement, include the nameplate and photographs of the ports, then identify how the existing computer connects to the production line.

  • EC511-ADS industrial system from DFI
  • Industrial automation and Edge AI applications
  • Boards, modules and assembled systems
  • Define the installed equipment and delivery scope

X6-ORN Edge AI computers

State the Jetson variant and the connected cameras, networks, CAN devices and storage. List PoE and remote management options separately. Describe the intended workload and software image so the enquiry identifies the system configuration.

  • NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano or NX
  • Four GbE ports; M.2 E/M/B
  • 9–36 V DC power input
  • PoE and OOB depend on the selected options

VC70B-MTH in-vehicle computers

Describe the vehicle power supply, ignition control and connected buses. Include the mounting drawing, required interfaces and installation location. Keep the equipment specification associated with the vehicle integration requirements.

  • Intel Core Ultra platform
  • CAN FD interfaces
  • Ignition-controlled power management
  • VC70B-MTH for in-vehicle applications

KS156P-MTH panel computers

For a panel computer, include the full code, cabinet cutout dimensions, mounting method and touch interface. Replacement enquiries should contain front and rear photographs, the nameplate and details of the equipment connected to the panel.

  • KS156P-MTH panel computer
  • KIT070P-M8M Open Frame family
  • Industrial panel PCs and displays
  • Specify the display, touch interface and system scope

Identify the complete DFI designation

Start with the model, full ordering code and hardware revision. Photograph the board marking and the packaging label, then identify the machine or assembly in which the device is installed. Keep the manufacturer designation alongside the internal inventory reference used by your receiving team.

Define the equipment and delivery scope

State whether the requirement is a motherboard, computing module, carrier board, panel computer or complete industrial system. For a complete computer, list the processor, memory, storage, expansion devices and operating system. Identify the components already available for the project.

Power supply and cable connections

Provide the input voltage, connector arrangement and the documented pin assignment. CMS171 and CMS173 have different power requirements, so retain the complete model designation in the request. Photograph the power supply label and the cable connector at the board end.

For an in-vehicle installation, describe the ignition signal and how the system is switched on and off. If the wiring has been modified, include the current connection drawing. Associate each connector with the device or supply circuit to which it is attached.

Processor, memory and storage configuration

Record the installed processor, memory type and storage interface. CMS171/CMS173 uses DDR4 SO-DIMM, while RPS310 uses DDR5 UDIMM. When planning a replacement, identify which existing components are intended to be transferred and which should be supplied with the new equipment.

State the installed memory capacity separately from the required capacity. For storage, identify the physical format and purpose: operating system, measurements, image recording or process archive.

Provide the drive marking and a photograph of its mounting location where enclosure space is restricted.

Interfaces and expansion devices

List every connected controller, camera and peripheral with its interface: serial, Ethernet, USB, display output or expansion card. For serial connections, provide the required operating mode and its purpose. Add the relevant connection diagram or the page from the equipment manual.

External connector counts can depend on internal cables and additional modules. Include photographs of these connections and identify the USB connector type.

The ADP253 arrangement can include different Type-C and Type-A configurations, so the requested variant should be matched to the installed cabling.

Software image, BIOS and commissioning

Include the BIOS version, operating system and the software package used by the installation. If an approved disk image is available, state its version and the intended restoration procedure. Describe which settings and peripheral drivers must be retained when the equipment is replaced.

Hardware selection and software migration are separate parts of the project. Identify the team responsible for commissioning and list its acceptance requirements.

For a system using an integrator-specific BIOS, include the relevant configuration information from the equipment documentation and the current revision reference.

Legacy board replacement

Retain the original board marking and revision when evaluating a replacement platform. Send the enclosure drawing, peripheral list and description of the equipment functions.

Compare proposed configurations using a consistent table covering power, interfaces, mounting, software and the existing components to be transferred.

Separate mandatory requirements from changes the project team can accept. A storage change, for example, may be permitted while the existing serial connections and enclosure dimensions must remain.

Record these decisions with the technical specification so each proposed configuration can be assessed on the same basis.

Cooling and mechanical integration

Describe the cooling method, available space and mounting position in the cabinet or enclosure. Photograph the heatsink, fan and attachment points. A replacement enquiry should also identify cable routing and adjacent components that affect access to connectors or removal of the assembled board.

For panel computers, provide cutout dimensions, panel thickness and the mounting method. Identify the display, touch interface and computing section separately.

For Open Frame installation, include the front panel arrangement and mounting points so the equipment request matches the actual integration design.

Accessories and the receiving item list

For cables, expansion modules, cooling assemblies and mounting kits, supply the accessory code and the main DFI model. Include cable length and connector types, or the mounting and height requirements for a heatsink. Photographs should show the item together with the assembly where it is fitted.

For a mixed supply request, separate complete computers from individual boards and accessories. State the quantity for each item and identify components already available on site.

Match the photographs and drawings to the corresponding lines so the specification remains clear during technical clarification.

About DFI and the enquiry process

DFI was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. Its industrial computing portfolio includes motherboards, system-on-modules, industrial computers and displays. Select a platform for its role in the installation, then define the interfaces and delivery scope required by the project.

Use the request button for the relevant model to begin an equipment or parts enquiry. Add complete codes, quantities and application details.

The form accepts a description and supporting files, helping the technical contact connect the requested configuration with the existing machine or new system design.

Availability, price, delivery time, documentation and compatibility are checked for the specific enquiry. This page does not establish official dealer or service-centre status or common specifications for every variant; the delivery scope is agreed by complete code.
