DME mold components and hot runner equipment
Specify DME mold bases, hot runner systems, controls and maintenance equipment with the required components and accessories. Send a new project specification or identify an existing assembly to replace.
DME ejector pins, sleeves and core pins
Ejection components for maintaining an existing injection mold. DME lists straight and shoulder pins, blades, return pins, ejector sleeves and core pins.
- Distinguish Imperial, DIN and JIS configurations.
- Specify the diameter, length and head dimensions.
- For a sleeve, provide both bore and outside diameter.
- Send the complete part number or component drawing.
Alignment locks and plate control components
Components for mold alignment and plate movement. Replacement selection requires the mating geometry, mounting dimensions and the position of the assembly.
- DME lists EZ-LATCH and LifeTime locks.
- Check the mating half, fasteners and installation envelope.
- Identify a single component or a complete matched set.
- Provide photographs with the mold open.
Mold bases, plates and MUD inserts
DME supplies mold bases and plates. The MUD Master Unit Die system combines a permanent frame with interchangeable insert molds, so the requested package must identify each assembly.
- Provide the base or frame designation and dimensions.
- For MUD, include the frame code and insert drawing.
- Check hole locations and the mold parting arrangement.
- List a new base and a replacement plate separately.
Mold cooling components
DME lists cooling products, Flosense, cooled sprue bushings and plastic baffles. Selection starts with the existing circuit layout and connection details.
- Identify the function and marking of each component.
- Provide connections and cooling channel locations.
- For Flosense, specify the required monitoring assembly.
- Separate circuit parts from a complete installation.
Hot sprue bushings, heaters and cables
Individual melt delivery and temperature control parts are selected using the system designation and documentation. A bushing, tip, heater and cable each require a distinct specification.
- Identify the system and nozzle or bushing number.
- For a heater, send its marking and dimensions.
- For a cable, photograph both connector ends.
- Retain the thermocouple type and wiring diagram.
StellarONE and EcoONE hot runner systems
The DME range includes StellarONE and EcoONE systems. A new project needs part and mold data; a repair needs the installed system layout and the identification of the component to replace.
- Provide the part model and cavity layout.
- Specify resin, gate positions and the machine interface.
- Distinguish a hot half from a component package.
- For replacement, include the existing system documents.
ME and TSP+ temperature controllers
DME lists ME and TSP+ controllers, cables and valve gate controls. Temperature regulation and valve actuation are separate functions and need separate configuration details.
- Specify the full controller code and active zones.
- Send the nameplate, connectors and wiring diagram.
- Distinguish a complete cabinet, control card and cable.
- For valve control, describe the actuator arrangement.
CoolingCare channel cleaning equipment
CoolingCare equipment cleans mold cooling channels. A system enquiry should describe the molds to service, their cooling circuits and the required connection package.
- Identify the molds and available connections.
- Describe the circuits that require maintenance.
- For a spare part, supply the machine and assembly code.
- List consumables as separate enquiry items.
Define the equipment package
Start an equipment enquiry by identifying the production task and the assemblies you want to purchase. DME covers mold components, bases, hot runner systems, controls and maintenance equipment.
A complete system and a spare component require different information, even when they belong to the same product family.
Prepare an item list that separates the principal assembly, accessories, connecting cables and spare parts. Give each item a quantity and a reference to its drawing or specification. For an existing mold, provide the mold number and current revision.
This makes the required supply package clear before individual configurations are selected.
Part numbers and technical documents
Send the complete DME part number from the component, package or original bill of materials. Preserve letters, suffixes and punctuation. A family name identifies a product direction, while the full code identifies the particular configuration used in your mold or maintenance equipment.
Photograph the marking and show the part in its assembly. If the marking is unreadable, include a dimensioned sketch and a description of its function. Connect every attachment to an item in your enquiry.
For revised or modified components, keep the original designation for reference and identify the changes in the current drawing.
Choose the dimensional system
DME ejection components include Imperial, DIN and JIS configurations. State the dimensional system and units used in your mold documentation. For a pin, provide its diameter, overall length and head geometry; for a sleeve, include the bore, outside diameter and working length.
Measurements taken from a used sample should identify the measured surfaces and the method used. Add tolerances, material and treatment requirements from the drawing. For a flat ejector blade, show the working thickness and width.
These details describe the individual component and avoid transferring the specification of one catalogue configuration to another similar looking part.
Alignment and plate movement
For a replacement alignment lock or plate control assembly, show both mating parts and their position in the mold. Supply the mounting drawing, fastener locations and available installation space.
Identify whether the enquiry covers one component, a matched pair or the full assembly with its accessories.
Where the mold has been modified, use the current drawing revision and mark the changes. A previous part number remains useful for tracing the original configuration, but the item list should reflect the installed geometry.
Link inspection requirements to the agreed drawing so maintenance and purchasing teams can check the same configuration at receipt.
Mold bases and MUD frames
Specify whether you require a replacement plate, a mold base, a MUD frame or an interchangeable insert mold. For a plate, provide dimensions, thickness, hole locations and the required machining condition.
A base enquiry also needs the mold arrangement and the interface to the injection molding machine.
For an existing MUD installation, send the frame designation and insert drawings. For a new package, describe the required frame, insert and associated components separately. Identify which surfaces and holes should arrive finished and which will be machined by your toolroom.
Number each drawing and state its revision to keep the equipment package unambiguous.
Plan a hot runner system
A new StellarONE or EcoONE project starts with the molded part, resin, cavity arrangement and gate locations. Include the part model, mold envelope and injection machine interface. Describe whether your requirement is a hot half or a set of individual hot runner components.
List temperature control equipment, valve gate actuation, cables and connections as distinct parts of the project. If the system must fit an existing mold, include its current layout and the proposed changes. State the documentation needed by your operating team.
The final component schedule should identify each assembly and accessory that will be checked when the package arrives.
Specify hot runner spare parts
For an installed hot runner, provide the system designation, nozzle layout and original component schedule. Identify the nozzle, tip, bushing or heater by its drawing position.
Heater enquiries need the marking, dimensions, leads and installation arrangement; cable enquiries need photographs of both ends.
Include thermocouple details and the wiring diagram from the actual assembly. Where connectors or cables have been changed, send the current pin assignment. Separate required repair parts from optional spare items and connect each to the same mold number.
A fault description helps clarify the task, while component identification and connection data remain the basis of the requested replacement.
Configure temperature and valve controls
For an ME, TSP+ or another controller identified in your documentation, send the complete cabinet code, nameplate and the temperature zone arrangement. For a replacement control card, include its marking and the cabinet in which it is installed.
Retain the power supply and sensor information from the equipment documents.
Valve actuation has a separate configuration: describe the drive arrangement and its connections. Keep temperature regulation and valve movement as separate items linked to the same mold. If a cabinet serves several molds, list the configuration and cable package for each one.
Identify changes made since a previous purchase so the enquiry describes the present workplace.
Cooling circuits and cleaning equipment
For a cooling component, include the circuit drawing, connections, channel dimensions and the location of the item. State the purpose of a baffle, cooled sprue bushing or monitoring component.
A Flosense enquiry should describe the monitoring assembly and its relationship to the mold cooling circuit.
For CoolingCare equipment, list the molds to maintain, their accessible connections and the required installation package. If the request is for a spare part, provide the equipment model and assembly number. Consumables, adapters and replacement components should have separate lines.
The circuit component and a complete cleaning machine serve different purposes and should be specified as distinct packages.
Organize delivery and acceptance
Send the quantity, destination and required technical documents with the component list. For several molds or production cells, assign every item to its workplace and drawing reference. Identify accessory packages and paired components so a partial shipment can be checked against the agreed list.
For a repeat order, retain the complete agreed designation and highlight any changes to the mold or equipment. At receipt, check marking, quantity and package contents against the final specification. Dimensional inspection should follow the agreed drawing revision.
Requirements for item identification, packing and operating documents are easiest to resolve when they are included in the original enquiry.
Availability, price, lead time, documents and compatibility are checked for the particular configuration. This page does not establish official dealership or guarantee a repair outcome. The selected configuration is agreed using its own technical documentation.
