GAS REGULATION AND VALVES

Cavagna gas equipment and regulators

Select Cavagna regulators, valves and components for LPG, natural gas and industrial gases. Send a specification or the full marking of the installed assembly.

Cavagna equipment families

Choose the application first: cylinder supply, LPG storage, industrial gas line or natural gas station. Compare the reduction stages and required configuration before requesting a replacement.

694 and 753 cylinder regulators

Single-stage low-pressure regulators connect directly to a cylinder handwheel valve. The manufacturer lists fixed and variable outlet-pressure versions. State the complete product code, gas, required flow and outlet pressure.

Include photographs of the label and both connections so the requested configuration can be identified. Any requested safety devices should be listed separately from the basic regulator.

424 two-stage cylinder regulators

Type 424 is a low-pressure, two-stage regulator for direct connection to a cylinder handwheel valve. It belongs to a different configuration from single-stage cylinder products. For an equipment enquiry, provide the gas, cylinder connection, required downstream pressure and consumption.

For replacement, add the full marking of the installed unit and a drawing or photograph of the existing arrangement.

91 high-pressure cylinder regulators

Type 91 connects to a cylinder handwheel valve and is offered with fixed or variable outlet pressure. Specify the intended process and the operating conditions at the consumer. A series number alone does not identify the complete connection or configuration.

Include the inlet and outlet connection designations, quantity and any required instrumentation in the equipment list.

81HP first-stage LPG regulators

Type 81HP is intended for industrial installations with two-stage regulation. It is mounted as the first stage, upstream of a second-stage regulator. Variable outlet pressure must be matched to the downstream equipment.

Send a diagram of the reduction stages, the second regulator designation and the required operating conditions. Adjustment is performed by qualified personnel using the applicable documentation.

94HP industrial tank regulators

Type 94HP reduces tank pressure to an intermediate level for another regulator. Depending on the version, outlet pressure may be fixed, adjustable or variable. Gauges can show inlet and/or outlet pressure.

Identify the required arrangement in the enquiry: gas, inlet range, downstream pressure, consumption and instrumentation. If replacing a unit, retain all suffixes from its complete product designation.

98HP intermediate-pressure regulators

Type 98HP reduces inlet pressure to a level suitable for a subsequent regulator. Fixed and adjustable outlet-pressure versions are listed by Cavagna. Selection considers the complete pressure-reduction line, including the second stage and consumer.

Provide the markings of both regulators and the installation diagram. Pressure adjustment belongs to qualified service work and follows the documentation for the specific assembly.

90 high-pressure regulators

Type 90 is available with fixed or variable outlet pressure and can be equipped with a gauge. Cavagna describes a threaded inlet for connection to gas storage. For a quotation, identify the complete model, outlet arrangement, gas and operating conditions.

State whether a gauge or other accessory is included in the required supply, rather than assuming it is part of every version.

LPG tank valves and components

Cavagna provides valves and regulators for LPG tanks. The range covers different tank types and installation arrangements, including above-ground and underground storage. Describe the function of the required valve in the tank system and provide its marking.

An equipment schedule should identify the gas phase, working conditions, connection standard and mating components. Add the tank documentation when available.

LPG cylinder valves and filling components

The cylinder range includes valves, regulators and filling heads. These components perform different functions: closing the cylinder, reducing pressure or connecting to a filling installation. Identify the application before comparing individual products.

Provide the cylinder type, valve marking and connection details. For filling equipment, include a drawing of the mating connection and the existing filling-head assembly.

8500 two-stage industrial gas regulators

Type 8500 is a two-stage industrial gas regulator for welding, cutting, heating and purging. Cavagna identifies applications requiring constant outlet pressure. Provide the gas, inlet conditions, desired outlet pressure and flow. Include the cylinder connection and downstream line details.

For a replacement request, photographs of the complete label and instrument scales help establish which configuration is installed.

6000 single-stage industrial gas regulators

Type 6000 is used for industrial gases in welding, cutting, heating and purging. The published inlet-pressure limit is up to 230 bar. Depending on the configuration, instrumentation includes contents and delivery pressure gauges or a flowmeter; a safety valve is optional.

These options should be specified individually. Submit the gas, complete model code, operating range and connection details.

5200 nitrogen regulators

The single-stage Type 5200 nitrogen regulator is intended for HVAC/R and automotive air-conditioning system requirements. Published limits are up to 300 bar inlet and up to 60 bar outlet pressure, subject to the actual version. Different configurations and an optional safety valve are available.

Describe the service task, nitrogen pressure, flow and connections, and attach the equipment documentation.

Industrial cylinder valves

The industrial gas range includes Standard Cylinder Valves, Mignon and Y Type valves. Standard valves use O-ring technology and are available with or without residual pressure valve RPV. Mignon has a large orifice for vacuum and filling operations; Y Type versions serve liquid and vapour phases.

Identify the gas, valve marking, cylinder connection and required RPV configuration in the enquiry.

S24, S25 and S27 natural gas equipment

Cavagna and Mesura offer industrial natural gas equipment. S24 pilot-controlled regulators serve low- and medium-pressure networks, while S25 serves high-pressure networks and combines regulator, monitor and shut-off functions. The specified gas is prefiltered and non-corrosive.

S27 is a relief-valve range. Provide the exact series, operating pressures, required capacity and station diagram for selection.

Prepare an equipment specification

State the gas and process, inlet-pressure range, required outlet pressure and flow with units. For a multi-stage line, include a diagram identifying every regulator and the consumer. Specify the required instruments and accessories separately.

Spare parts and replacement assemblies

For a spare-part enquiry, send the complete equipment code, the part reference from its documentation and quantity. Membranes, seals and service kits must be identified against the relevant assembly documentation. Photographs supplement the product marking and parts list.

Read the complete product designation

Keep all letters, suffixes and punctuation from the marking. A family designation helps locate the product range, while the complete code identifies the requested version. Include one overall photograph and close-up views of the label, inlet and outlet.

For a list of items, use columns for equipment model, part designation, quantity and notes. Identify whether the request concerns a complete unit, a service component or an accessory. A drawing reference helps relate each line to its installation position.

Define the operating conditions

Provide the actual gas or mixture and, where relevant, its phase. State minimum and maximum operating pressure as well as expected consumption. When reporting flow, retain its units and reference conditions instead of converting it without the original assumptions.

Instrument scale limits should be distinguished from measured working pressure and the desired regulator setting. If only photographs of gauges are available, say so explicitly. Add ambient temperature, installation location and any relevant requirements from the equipment specification.

Connections and installation layout

Send connection designations from the drawing or passport, including the mating parts. List adapters separately. Outlet orientation, gauge position and available clearance matter when fitting a replacement into an existing line, so include an installation sketch if space is limited.

For tank systems, identify above-ground or underground installation and the function of each requested valve. For cylinder filling equipment, provide the mating connection and filling-head arrangement. The same general gas application can involve several distinct component functions.

Replacement and service planning

Describe the observed issue and attach the service organisation’s findings if available. State whether the objective is scheduled maintenance or replacement of the complete assembly. Existing manuals, parts lists and previous equipment records help establish the configuration.

Installation, adjustment and checks after replacement belong to qualified service work performed according to the equipment documentation. Identify required accompanying documents in the enquiry.

Equipment procurement information does not replace the operating instructions for a live gas installation.

Selection terms

We do not claim official representative status, stock availability or guaranteed compatibility without checking the specific version. Individual spare-part availability, included accessories and documents are confirmed for the enquiry; price and delivery time are stated in the quotation.

Send your Cavagna requirements

Attach the specification or photographs and state quantity, destination and scope of supply. Separate complete regulators, instrumentation, connection accessories and spare parts into individual lines. This makes the requested configuration clear before a quotation is prepared.
