CO-AX industrial valves and flow control systems
Specify CO-AX industrial valves, control valves and modules for your installation. We review the flow diagram, connections, control arrangement and required assembly against your application.
MK 10 shut-off valves
Direct acting coaxial valves for shutting off liquids and gases. Identify the complete ordering code, port size, de-energised position and electrical configuration before replacing an installed valve.
- 2/2-way function; NC or NO versions
- Threaded ports G 1/4–G 3/4
- Pressure variants 0–16 or 0–40 bar
- Nominal supply 24 V DC or 230 V AC
MK / FK 15 valves
Direct acting series with threaded or flanged connections. Distinguish operating pressure from flange rating and identify body material, sealing configuration and the marked flow direction.
- 2/2-way function; NC or NO versions
- Threaded ports G 3/8–G 3/4
- Flanges PN 16/40/100
- Pressure variants 0–16/40/63/100 bar
MK / FK DR switching valves
Three-port direct acting valves for switching between flow paths. Relate the A, B and C markings to the installation drawing because allowable pressure depends on the selected flow direction.
- 3/2-way function; NC or NO versions
- Families MK 10 DR and MK / FK 15 DR
- MK 10 DR ports: G 1/4–G 3/4
- Send the A/B/C diagram and marking photographs
VMK / VFK externally controlled valves
Externally controlled coaxial valves. Specify the main valve, pilot valve and air supply separately so that a replacement matches both the process line and its control arrangement.
- 2/2-way function; NC or NO versions
- VMK / VFK 15: G 3/8–G 3/4 or flanges
- NAMUR or ISO 1 pilot according to configuration
- Pilot control pressure 4–10 bar
VMK / VFK DR switching valves
Externally controlled three-port configuration for changing the flow path. Identify the ports, pilot arrangement and valve position when the control signal is removed.
- 3/2-way function; NC or NO versions
- VMK / VFK 15 DR: G 3/8–G 3/4 or flanges
- Check pressure limits for each flow direction
- Send the nameplate, pilot and port diagram
RMQ and SPP control valves
RMQ controls flow while SPP controls pressure. Define the controlled quantity, range and control interface: matching pipe connections alone does not make the two valve types interchangeable.
- RMQ 15 PC: operating pressure 0–25 bar
- SPP-1 15 PC: regulation 5–40 bar
- SPP-2 15 PC: regulation 5–80 bar
- RMQ: M12x1; SPP: connector with 7 contacts
Valve modules and manifolds
Module and manifold arrangements combine several valves in one assembly. Start with the flow diagram and assembly list rather than the designation of only one installed valve.
- Options for MK, VMK and other families
- Adapters and separating modules
- Blank covers and mounting accessories
- Send the diagram, assembly view and markings
CO-AX parts and accessories
Request coils, pilot valves, connectors, limit switches and brackets. Identify seals and repair items using the complete valve code and the assembly documentation.
- M12x1 DESINA / VDMA connections
- DIN EN 175301-803, form A for MK/FK
- NAMUR or ISO 1 pilots for VMK/VFK
- Send the part number and valve nameplate
Select a replacement for an installed valve
Start with the complete CO-AX ordering code and clear nameplate photographs. Show the body from both sides, the connector and the pipe connections. For a valve installed in a machine or process system, include the equipment model and the relevant assembly or flow drawing.
Distinguish a complete valve replacement from a request for one spare component. A complete valve requires process conditions and connection information. A coil, pilot or limit switch also requires the marking of the installed accessory.
Identify the items you intend to retain so that the replacement can be checked against them.
For several installed valves, prepare one line per complete designation and link each line to its photographs. Similar-looking bodies may belong to different configurations.
Keeping the individual markings in the enquiry helps define both the replacement valve and the accessories required for each location.
Function, NC/NO position and flow direction
Keep the entire designation, including suffixes, hyphens and additional marking lines. NC and NO describe the normal position without the relevant control action.
Check the intended de-energised behaviour against the installation diagram, especially where the process requires a particular response to loss of power or air.
For a two-port valve, identify the inlet and outlet. For a three-port valve, show all A, B and C connections and the required switching path. Direction-dependent limits in the specific data sheet are part of selection; a single maximum pressure figure cannot describe every path.
Process medium, pressure and temperature
Describe the process medium: gas, water, oil, emulsion or another substance. For mixtures, provide the composition and concentration; for contaminated media, describe the contamination.
Record the normal temperature and pressures upstream and downstream of the valve, rather than only the nominal line pressure.
Include start-up conditions, pressure variations and the shutdown state. For vacuum or reverse-flow applications, attach the flow diagram. These details connect the valve configuration to the actual process and help review the required materials, sealing arrangement and operating direction.
For a regulated process, specify the required flow or pressure range and the control arrangement. Body pressure rating and regulation range are different parameters. State them separately to distinguish a shut-off valve, flow control valve and pressure control valve within the enquiry.
Connections and installation dimensions
Provide close photographs of the pipe connections and accessible installation measurements. State the thread designation from the drawing; for flanges, include the standard, rating and hole arrangement.
Pipe size and valve flow capacity are separate selection factors, so retain both in the specification.
For an existing assembly, indicate the face-to-face length, actuator orientation and space available for the connector. Show the surrounding pipework with a scale reference. If an adapter remains in the installation, include it in the drawing because it may determine the replacement interface.
For a manifold assembly, identify section order, outlets and common passages. Supplement a removed section photograph with a view of the complete assembly. This separates the replaceable valve from the manifold body, adapters, separating modules and mounting accessories.
Electrical connections and pilot control
Send the coil marking and connector photographs for an electrically operated valve. Record voltage, current type and wiring arrangement together. A voltage value alone leaves the electrical configuration and connection unresolved; the marking and diagram help define the complete accessory request.
For VMK/VFK, show the pilot valve, air supply and control connections. Process pressure and pilot pressure belong in separate fields. Specify the mounting interface and indicate whether the request includes the pilot, coil, connector or only the main valve body.
For a limit switch, include its designation, contact diagram and attachment arrangement. Show both mating sides of a cable connector. Accessory selection begins with the installed component and its interfaces even when the designation of the main valve is already known.
Choose the valve for its process role
müller co-ax gmbh is a German industrial valve manufacturer based in Forchtenberg. Coaxial valve applications include machine and plant engineering, gas and vacuum systems, test benches and dosing.
Describe the role of the valve in your installation so that the enquiry follows the process requirement.
For line isolation, define the shut-off function. For switching flow paths, provide the three-port diagram. For varying flow or maintaining pressure, identify the controlled quantity and range, then state the control interface and required assembly configuration.
For a new system, send the technical specification and process description. For repair of an existing installation, send the installed markings, drawing and removed component details. These enquiries use different starting information even when the final selection belongs to the same product family.
Define the required valve assembly
List the items required in the supply: main valve, coil, pilot, connector, limit switch, bracket or module. Mark the components that will remain from the existing assembly. This separates a complete equipment request from accessory and spare-part lines without duplicating the same component.
For an installation with several CO-AX configurations, use a table of complete markings, quantities, locations and replacement tasks. Link the photographs to the table rows. A combined enquiry is useful when each position and its accessories remain identifiable.
For repair components, attach the parts drawing or relevant component list. If a code comes from an older document, identify the valve to which the document belongs. The enquiry then relates the component designation, assembly and required quantity rather than only the family name.
Prepare an equipment sourcing enquiry
Select the relevant family or open the enquiry form. Provide the complete code, quantity, medium and delivery destination; attach the nameplate and drawing. If the family is unknown, describe the valve function and the equipment in which the valve is installed.
For a repeat purchase, send the previous item specification and indicate whether operating conditions have changed. For a new installation, attach the technical requirements.
Separate complete valve assemblies from accessories to be quoted with them, and identify any connections that must remain unchanged.
After the technical review, the item list and scope of supply can be agreed for a defined enquiry. For your internal procurement process, specify the required documents, packaging and receiving arrangements. This produces a quotation linked to identified equipment and a clear assembly list.
Availability, price, lead time, documents and compatibility are assessed for the specific enquiry. This page does not establish authorised dealership, certified service or identical specifications for every version of a series. Selection follows the complete marking and application requirements.
