Specify ESAB welding equipment from the process, current and material: sources, wire feeders, torches, automation and robotic systems.
Welding equipment directions
Identify the process and the task: a new machine, automation or parts for installed equipment.
Rebel EMP: multi-process machines up to 350 A
Portable sources for MIG/MAG, flux-cored, stick and TIG welding in repair and maintenance, agricultural equipment, auto bodies, construction and light fabrication. The EMP 205ic AC/DC welds aluminium with AC TIG; the three-phase EMP 285ic reaches 350 A.
Warrior and Warrior Edge: 300–850 A for shops and yards
Multi-process sources for heavy fabrication: shipbuilding, pressure vessels, energy and hardfacing. The Warrior 500i delivers 500 A at 60 % duty, the Warrior 750i up to 850 A with gouging; Warrior Edge 500 DX adds Pulse, SPEED, THIN, CRAFT and ROOT modes.
Aristo: pulse systems with WeldCloud connectivity
The Aristo 500ix is a portable 500 A pulse source for structural steel, wind towers, ships and offshore work. The Mig 5000i serves robotic and semi-automatic tasks and connects to WeldCloud by Wi-Fi, cellular or Ethernet.
Origo Mig: compact medium-duty MIG machines
The Origo Mig C280 PRO and C340 PRO suit auto repair, light metal fabrication, transport, training workshops and tack welding. Step-controlled voltage, a built-in wire feeder and large wheels keep the unit mobile in the shop.
Renegade, Rogue, Rustler and Ruffian
The Renegade ES/ET 300i weigh about 15 kg and accept single- and three-phase supply; the ET 301i AC/DC is built for TIG of aluminium and magnesium. The Rogue EM 210 PRO is a compact MIG to 210 A, the Rustler EM 280 PRO gives 280 A.
For sites without mains power there is the Ruffian EMP 270G with an 11 kW generator.
Wire feeders for heavy welding
The RobustFeed PRO works with Warrior sources and the RobustFeed U6/U82 with the Aristo 500ix. The enclosed body protects the spool from moisture and dust, and the PreciDrive system stabilises wire feeding. BoomFeed suits boom mounting; DualFeed handles two wire types.
MIG and TIG torches, push-pull and spool guns
Torches are offered with air and liquid cooling; the Tweco Fusion 250 gives 250 A at 80 % duty. The MXH 315 PP push-pull torch eases feeding of soft and thin wire, spool guns carry the wire on the gun, and SR-B and Heliarc are TIG torches.
Automation: SAW, orbital welding and robots
The A2 Multitrac tractor (47 kg) and the Versotrac, which splits into modules in under five minutes to pass through a manhole, mechanise submerged arc and GMAW welding. AMI orbital systems weld pipe by TIG, while the Aristo Edge RoboSystem and ROBBI Mobile cover robotic welding.
Column and boom systems, gantries, roller beds
Modular CaB systems, the Gantrac gantry and ECD/ECI roller beds rated from 3.75 to 60 t form a welding station for shipyards, wind towers, pressure vessels and pipelines. GMH joint tracking keeps the arc in the optimal position.
Consumables for MIG torches
Tweco Velocity contact tips come in light, medium and heavy duty; the 11, 14, 15, 16 and Eliminator series are also listed. Liners are made of Teflon, nylon and steel wound wire, and nozzles come in the WC26 and WS 25 series.
WeldCloud, WeldQAS and WeldScanner
WeldCloud Productivity tracks arc-on time, wire use and weld sessions; Notes manages WPS, PQR and welder qualifications; Assembly follows parts and welds. WeldQAS monitors parameters in real time, and the WeldScanner works as a data logger and oscilloscope.
Selection inputs
Process, material and thickness, current and duty, supply, torch cooling, wire diameter and package boundaries.
Parts for an installed machine
Nameplate designation, serial number, photo of the unit, ESAB part number and quantity.
Where to start when choosing a machine
Define the process (MIG/MAG, stick, TIG, flux-cored or submerged arc), the material and thickness, the required current and the duty pattern. Then check the supply: the range includes single-phase machines for 120/230 V, versions for 208–460 V and three-phase units for 380–575 V.
For a shop with steady load, look at current at 60 and 100 % duty rather than the maximum alone: the Warrior 500i gives 500 A at 60 % and 400 A at 100 %. For field work, weight, enclosure protection and generator compatibility matter.
The package: source, feeder and torch
Heavy systems consist of a source, wire feeder, torch, cables and, where needed, a control panel. The Warrior 500i works with the RobustFeed PRO, the Aristo 500ix with the RobustFeed U6 or U82, and the ECHO version connects to its feeder without control cables.
State the package boundaries line by line in the enquiry: what is supplied, what stays on site, and which torch connector and hose length are required.
Automation and robots
Tractors, welding heads, column and boom systems and gantries mechanise submerged arc and GMAW welding. The Aristo Edge robotic cell includes the 500R source, the RoboFeed Edge feeder, an automation gateway, a torch and a kit for the specific robot.
For the ROBBI Mobile cobot the manufacturer lists a UR arm, the Aristo 500ix source and the RobustFeed U82 feeder. Describe the workpiece, batch size, seam positions and required output when defining the task.
Digital weld management
Aristo machines can connect to WeldCloud, and the Universal Connector adds this function to other brands. Data on productivity, wire use and documents helps find idle time and keep traceability.
For system checks there are the WeldScanner and the Checkmaster 600R load bank, rated for sources from 150 to 500 A.
Industries and applications
Light industrial machines such as the Rebel, Rogue and Renegade are used in repair and maintenance, agricultural equipment, auto bodies, construction and welder training. The industrial Warrior and Aristo lines target shipyards, energy, pressure vessels, wind towers, railcars and mining equipment.
The manufacturer positions AMI orbital systems for food and pharmaceutical work, aerospace, semiconductor and energy. SAW tractors, column and boom systems and roller beds serve shipyards, wind towers, pipelines and pressure vessels.
Supply and operating conditions
The Warrior and Aristo 500ix enclosures are rated IP23 and the Rebel is stated as IP23S. The Aristo 500ix operates from −20 to +40 °C, and the Rogue EM 210 PRO is compatible with 11 kVA generators.
For sites without mains there are the battery-powered Renegade VOLT series and the Ruffian EMP 270G with a 23.5 hp Kohler petrol engine. State the voltage and number of phases in the enquiry: one series may have versions for different supplies.
Reading the manufacturer data
Rated current depends on supply and duty: the Rebel EMP 215ic gives 235 A in MIG at 230 V and 15 % duty, and 130 A at 120 V and 20 % duty. Compare machines under the same supply conditions and duty cycle.
For a complete system compare the data sheets of the source, feeder, torch and panel: each element is published separately, so name the model of every block of the package in the enquiry.
Parts for an installed machine
For existing equipment attach the nameplate, serial number and a photo of the unit. Torch consumables are selected by torch series: tips, nozzles, diffusers and liners have separate designations.
Confirmation of scope
Availability, price, lead time, distributor status, certificates and compatibility are not stated in advance. Configuration, mains voltage and supply scope are confirmed for the specific enquiry.
