Single-stage Edge and SR regulators
Victor Edge (ESS7, ESS4, ESS3) and SR (450, 350, 250) single-stage regulators serve oxygen, acetylene, air and other cylinder gases. Selection follows the gas, the delivery range and the flow of the station.

Victor (ESAB) gas equipment
Specify Victor regulators, torches and outfits from the gas, the metal thickness and the duty of the station. For existing equipment, match designations and connections.
Victor equipment for gas cutting and welding
Identify the group and the task: regulator, handle, torch, outfit or safety device. Preserve the full designation of the installed item.
Two-stage ETS4, VTS 700 and VTS 250 regulators
The two-stage ETS4, VTS 700 and VTS 250 regulators keep delivery pressure stable from a full to an empty cylinder. Delivery ranges run from 2–15 to 10–200 psig, depending on the model.
High-pressure SR 4 and SR 600 regulators
SR 4 and SR 600 regulators serve high-pressure cylinders and manifolds with a 1/4″ Swagelok outlet. Selection needs the gas, a delivery range from 5 to 4500 psig and the maximum inlet pressure.
Regulators for lines, stations and liquid cylinders
ESL4, EST4, L700, DL700, BSL700 and ELC4 set pressure in gas lines, at station points and at liquid cylinders. The NPT or CGA connection, the flow and the inlet pressure determine the model.
Flow meters and flow-meter regulators
FM flow meters, HRF, DFM and HSR flow-meter regulators, and the ESS3-FG and SR310–SR312 models monitor argon, helium, nitrogen and CO2 supply. The SLR 100 limits pressure surge.
Torch handles of the 100, 300, 400 and J series
Handles of the 100, 300, 400 and J series are chosen by duty and gas. VanGuard 100FC, 315FC and H 315FC include flashback arrestors and check valves; HD 310C and WH 411C are built for heavy duty.
Cutting attachments and tips
The CA 2460, CA 1350, CA 1260 and CA 411 attachments take series 1 and series 3 cutting tips. Tip size, from 000 to 12, is chosen by metal thickness and fuel gas.
Straight and machine cutting torches
Straight torches ST 2600FC, ST 900FC and ST 1000FC and heavy-duty HC 1100C, HC 1200C, HC 1400 and HC 1500C cover different cutting thickness. Machine torches MT 200 and MT 300 serve mechanised cutting.
Welding and heating nozzles
W, W-1 and W-J nozzles serve gas welding and brazing; the multi-flame Type 55, MFA and MFN nozzles serve heating, straightening and preheating. Orifice sizes are the same across all series.
Flashback arrestors and check valves
Victor add-on flashback arrestors contain a check valve: FB for handle and regulator, FBHC for high flow, FlameBuster Plus with the Kwik-Connect coupling. CTO, CTF, CRO and CRF check valves are supplied separately.
Outfits for gas cutting and welding
Journeyman, Contender and Performer combine regulators, handle, attachment, tips, T-grade hose and goggles. Journeyman cuts up to 3/4″ (19.1 mm) with the standard tip and up to 8″ (203.2 mm) with an optional tip.
Gases, CGA connections and hoses
Regulator and handle are selected by gas and CGA connection. The Edge knob colour shows the gas. For alternative fuel gases the catalogue recommends T-grade hose.

Choosing Victor gas equipment for a station
Define the fuel gas, the metal thickness and the duty. Victor handles operate with all fuel gases: moving from acetylene to propylene or propane changes the regulator and the tip, and T-grade hose is used.
Tip size follows metal thickness: 3/4″ (19.1 mm) uses size 1, 2–2.5″ size 3, 4–5″ size 5 and 6–8″ size 6. For sizes 6 and larger the catalogue advises high-flow handles and 3/8″ hose.
Duty determines the handle class: J-28 and J-40 are light, 100FC medium, 315FC and WH 411C heavy and H 315FC extra heavy. The attachment follows the handle series.
Regulator: gas, pressure and connection
A regulator is chosen by gas and CGA connection: oxygen 540, acetylene 300 or 510, nitrogen and argon 580, methane 350. The Edge knob colour confirms the gas: green for oxygen, red for acetylene.
The delivery range must cover the working pressure of the station with a margin in flow. ESAB flow tables are given for air; other gases are converted with a factor, for example 0.95 for oxygen and 1.05 for acetylene.
For acetylene the catalogue limits delivery pressure to 15 psig and withdrawal from one cylinder to one seventh of its contents per hour. High consumption needs a manifold.
Safety and supply boundaries
A check valve stops reverse gas flow and a flashback arrestor stops a flame. Victor add-on devices contain both. Heavy-duty HC torches and the HD 310C handle are made without built-in arrestors and need add-on devices.
Define the contents of the set: regulators, handle, attachment, tips, arrestors, hoses and connections. Fixing the supply boundary before the enquiry keeps separate items from merging into one line.
Installation, repair and commissioning follow the procedures of the operating organisation, and arrestor cartridges are replaced by a qualified technician.
Regulators by application
Single-stage regulators suit stations where a slight rise in delivery pressure as the cylinder empties does not affect the result. Two-stage regulators suit stations that need stable pressure until the cylinder is empty.
SR 4 and SR 600 regulators serve high inlet pressure and manifold work. ESL4, EST4 and L700 cover lines and station points, ELC4 covers liquid cylinders, and FM and HRF flow meters monitor shielding-gas supply.
The customer states the gas, the required range and the flow. The remaining parameters, including the CGA connection, the inlet fitting and the maximum inlet pressure, follow from the model designation in the ESAB catalogue.
Torches: length, head angle and fuel
ST straight torches are made in lengths from 17″ to 96″ with a 90°, 75° or 180° head angle. The ST 900FC, ST 1000FC and ST 2600FC models include flashback arrestors and check valves and use series 1 tips.
The heavy-duty HC 1100C, HC 1200C, HC 1400 and HC 1500C torches are intended for scrap, foundry and steel-mill work. HC 1400 and HC 1500C are designed for propane or natural gas, not acetylene.
MT 200 and MT 300 machine torches come in two-hose and three-hose versions, and gear racks are ordered separately. The catalogue mentions special-length versions on request.
Outfits, hoses and consumables
The Journeyman outfit includes ESS4 regulators, the H 315FC handle, the CA 2460 attachment, a cutting tip, a heating nozzle, 6.1 m × 6.4 mm T-grade hose, a striker with tip cleaner and shade 5 goggles.
The medium-duty Performer outfit is built on ESS3 regulators, the 100FC handle and the CA 1350 attachment with 3.8 m × 4.8 mm T-grade hose. It cuts up to 12.7 mm with the standard tip and up to 152.4 mm with an optional tip.
Consumables, including tips, nozzles, seals and arrestor cartridges, are listed as separate lines with quantity and catalogue designation.
What to state in an equipment enquiry
For a new station, state the fuel gas, the cutting gas, the metal thickness, the hose length and the number of workstations. To replace an existing item, attach the designation from its body, the catalogue number and a marking photograph.
State whether a complete outfit or separate items are required: regulator, handle, attachment, tip or flashback arrestor. If an item works with several gases, list each gas on a separate line.
Add quantity, destination country and a work contact. Missing data can be marked directly in the enquiry and clarified during the correspondence.
