Comer Industries and Walterscheid transmission components for agricultural machinery, construction, road and mining equipment: gearboxes, PTO drive shafts, clutches, axles, planetary and electric drives. Selection is made by unit marking, product number and machine model. We supply them together with equipment and as separate repair items.
For combine harvesters and forage harvesters Comer Industries supplies engine drive transmissions and working gearboxes: modular corn header gearboxes with internal overload protection, cutterbar transmissions from 2.5 to 3.7 m cutting width, and drives for sugar cane harvesting with power up to 216 kW. The engine drive is built in an aluminium housing with integrated hydraulic systems and clutches.
Such units work in the field under load with frequent engagement, so when selecting we verify the gear ratio, the number of splines on the input and output shaft, the shaft arrangement and the mounting dimensions of the housing. We supply housings, shafts, gears, bearings, seals and overload protection elements.
For round balers the manufacturer specifies a structural transmission with an integrated overrunning clutch, for feed mixers a powershift gearbox that shifts under load, and for track tractors a travel drive of 350–450 HP with output torque up to 33 kNm. The housings are designed for the traction force of the machine and are bolted to the frame.
When selecting we check the gear ratio, the number of splines, the type of overrunning clutch and the way the unit is mounted to the frame: for feed mixers we additionally verify the version for two or three augers, for balers the direction of rotation and the fit on the shaft.
Walterscheid, part of the Comer Industries group since 2021, manufactures power take-off shafts for mounted implements: the W-Line with QS lock and ST guards, the heavy-duty P-Line with the Power Drive P675 joint, and the economical ECO-Line W 100E — W 300E. Sizes W 2200, W 2300, W 2400 and W 2500 differ in transmitted torque and profile length.
The shaft is supplied complete or as halves, so selection is based on size, profile tube length, joint type and spline count. The wide-angle joint allows short-term operation at an angle up to 80°, and W2 class maintenance is carried out about once a season — up to 250 hours.
Clutches protect the PTO shaft and the machine against overload: when the torque is exceeded, the unit releases before the shafts and the gearbox are destroyed. The manufacturer builds six families — cam-type, radial-pin and shear-bolt, friction, overrunning and rotary-clearance.
We select the clutch by transmitted torque in daNm, release principle and connecting yokes, so that a worn assembly can be replaced without modifying the shaft. We supply complete clutches as well as wear parts: pins, cams, springs and discs.
The planetary drive range is divided into modular and slewing gearboxes. The HEX series is designed for excavators from 18 to 100 tonnes: the final drive is installed in the travel gear, the slew drive in the slewing platform with a custom ring gear option. Slewing drives are also used in wind energy, where torque density matters.
The group catalogues PG/PGA, PGR F-GAMMA and PGR-EXC cover planetary transmissions of different classes. To replace a unit we verify the gear ratio, the input flange version for the hydraulic motor, whether an integrated brake is fitted and the type of lubrication.
Axles are available as steering and rigid versions with an integrated transmission and various options of brakes, differentials and drive type. The new FC08 series features a compact housing and higher power density, so it is easier to integrate into a machine with limited space under the axle.
The axles are used on loaders, dumpers, municipal and material handling machines, and there is a version for electric drive. When selecting we verify the track width, the gear ratio, the type of brakes and differential, as well as the product designation such as FCH8.30002.802.B01.
The group's electric division e-comer builds TX1 battery powered axles with 0.5–10 kW and TX2 with 5–30 kW, modular wheel drives WD220 and WD300T, drives for AGVs DD1 and GL170, as well as AMAC and SMAC motors. The unit is supplied as a finished product with planetary transmission and differential.
Wheel load, output torque and battery voltage matter for the selection: WD220 is rated for a load up to 4 000 kg, WD300T for up to 8 000 kg with torque up to 6 000 Nm. AMAC motors deliver from 0.3 to 100 kW, SMAC from 0.6 to 200 kW.
For off-highway and special machines we supply Mechanics Synergy and Legacy drive shafts with quick-disconnect bearings, B-, T- and M-Series double universal joints, shafts with a centred double cardan CDC and constant velocity CV joints. The ranges differ in operating angle and bearing service life.
Synergy quick-disconnect bearings need no intermediate maintenance, while M-Series joints are used in marine angular drives. Operating angles: B-Series up to 60°, M-Series up to 64°, CDC up to 50° for non-aligned systems, CV joints are homokinetic and maintenance free.
We start from the machine and the unit: transmission type, gear ratio, spline count, profile tube length, joint operating angle and frame mounting pattern. For travel drives and planetary units we verify the hydraulic motor input flange and brake version, for electric axles the wheel load and battery voltage. If the unit is already removed, a photo of the marking and mounting points is enough. Send the marking, product number or a photo — that is enough to name the version and the lead time.
For combine and forage harvesters the group builds engine drive transmissions and working gearboxes, for headers modular gearboxes with internal overload protection, for round balers a structural transmission with an integrated free wheel, and for feed mixers a powershift transmission that shifts under load. Cutterbars are matched with transmissions for cutting widths from 2.5 to 3.7 m. We also select PTO shafts and intermediate bearings for tillage, crop treatment and hay implements. For trailed and mounted implements we verify the drive side and the guard type.
In construction equipment the group's units work on concrete mixers and pumps, cranes, loaders, dumpers, excavators and trenchers; in road construction on compactors, pavers, reclaimers and milling machines; in mining on haul trucks and drilling rigs. HEX range planetary drives are designed for excavators from 18 to 100 tonnes, and slewing drives are also used in wind power. For forestry and material handling machines we select axles and drive shafts. On road machines we separately check the drum drive and the axle mounting under the wheel.
We supply Walterscheid W-Line, P-Line and ECO-Line PTO drive shafts complete or as halves, cross kits, yokes, profile tubes, guards, locks and the six clutch families, plus Comer Industries, Mechanics and e-comer gearboxes, axles, planetary and electric drives with their components. Worn units are replaced complete or restored part by part. Every item is named with the manufacturer designation, so similar versions of one range are not mixed up.
We work under a supply contract with payment in rubles by invoice, VAT included where applicable. Shipment is possible from a single item, and delivery is arranged to the buyer's warehouse. Lead time and price are confirmed by a quotation for the exact item; certificates are provided on request together with the specification. The document set is prepared together with the quotation, shipment dates are agreed with production. A specification listing designations and quantities is prepared separately, and manufacturer documents are attached on request.
