The specifications come from the manufacturer's pages. Accuracy depends on the measuring conditions and is confirmed for a specific instrument; the manufacturer publishes no article numbers, spare parts catalogue, prices, lead times or warranty, and we do not declare EAEU, TR TS or Russian verification certificates. We are neither a dealer, nor a representation, nor an official supplier.

RIGELSCAN Super for large parts

RIGELSCAN Super uses 51 blue laser lines and delivers 3,380,000 measurements per second. Three working distances — 300–600, 600–1300 and 1300–2500 mm — cover small features and large structures. Accuracy up to 0.075 mm and volumetric accuracy of 0.1 + 0.015 mm/m are verified to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 in an ISO 17025 laboratory. Laser class 2M, weight 1.3 kg.

CereScan and ZGScan 717: compact and entry level

CereScan is a compact handheld scanner weighing 0.65 kg: 2,480,000 measurements per second, 26 + 1 + 7 blue laser lines. CereScan SE weighs 0.54 kg and reaches 4,000,000 measurements per second with 34 + 1 + 17 lines over USB 3.0 and Wi-Fi 6. ZGScan 717 uses 14 + 1 red lines: 480,000 measurements per second, 0.03 mm accuracy, 0.83 kg.

For field work: weight and power

MarvelScan: scanning without a tracker or markers

MarvelScan positions itself by built-in photogrammetry and needs neither a tracker nor applied markers. Volumetric accuracy: 0.05 + 0.02 mm/m without markers, 0.015 + 0.035 mm/m with markers, 0.015 + 0.015 mm/m with PhotoShot; the built-in photogrammetry averages 0.007 mm/m. Hole accuracy reaches 0.03 mm, depth of field 600–5,000 mm, and the CMM option gives 0.03 mm at 60 Hz.

For parts that cannot take markers

HyperScan: optical tracking and the ZG-Track tracker

HyperScan works with the ZG-Track tracker, so the scanner moves freely over a large part with no markers. Super: 5,220,000 measurements per second, 34 + 1 + 7 blue laser lines, tracking up to 7.0 m and 100 m³, 0.02 mm probing accuracy, parts 0.1–12 m, 7.4 kg tracker. Ultra: up to 5.5 m and 50 m³, 0.03 mm probing.

State the object size and volume

PhotoShot Max: wireless photogrammetry

PhotoShot Max is a wireless photogrammetry system: 0.015 mm/m volumetric accuracy at an average deviation of 0.005 mm/m, and 0.02 + 0.015 mm/m together with a ZG scanner. A 2,000 mAh battery with a replaceable pack runs three hours, communication is over Wi-Fi 5G 802.11ac, and the display shows status. Weight 900 g.

For large parts: the dimensions

MarvelProbe: portable reverse-positioning CMM

MarvelProbe measures with a contact stylus and positions itself by reverse positioning — against a portable panel or pre-calibrated room — so parts are measured in sequence. Accuracy is 0.03 mm with 0.03 mm single-point repeatability; volumetric accuracy is 0.05 + 0.02 mm/m and 0.02 + 0.02 mm/m with scanner photogrammetry. Weight 500 g, ruby stylus 3.0 or 6.0 mm.

State the features to measure

AutoMetric and MarvelScan Galaxy: in-line inspection

AutoMetric and MarvelScan Galaxy are robotic inspection cells. AutoMetric combines a robot, a ZG scanner and a workstation; MarvelScan Galaxy adds a pre-calibrated bay. Power is AC 220 V, the range −20 to +40 °C, WLAN and USB include external IO. The software covers scanning, inspection and automation modules.

State the cycle and part range

GScan: full-colour white light scanning

GScan uses white light (LED) and captures surface colour together with geometry, mapping the texture to within a pixel. It reaches 550,000 measurements per second, a single scan takes under two seconds, accuracy is 0.05–0.1 mm and resolution 0.2–0.5 mm. Objects from 0.03 to 4.00 m are recommended; handheld, turntable and projection modes available.

For texture: material and size

RigelSLAM-S: mobile mapping

RigelSLAM-S scans while moving and positions itself by SLAM without GPS, computing in real time. Range 0–120 m, 16 sensors, 320,000 measurements per second, a 360 × 270° field of view and 0–3 cm relative, 2–5 cm absolute accuracy. Battery 2.5–3 h, storage 500 GB, IP54, weight 1.6 kg, touch screen and RigelSee software.

What is needed to select a scanner

State the part size and material, the surface condition, the required accuracy and tolerance, the inspection volume, and the working conditions — workshop, field or laboratory. For tracker systems the maximum part size matters, for automation the cycle time, for photogrammetry the object size and volumetric accuracy.

Replaceable parts, accessories and service

The replaceable layer: ZGFreeBox-II and ZGFreeBox-S/T wireless modules, ruby styli of 3.0 and 6.0 mm with 30, 60 and 100 mm extensions, targets and scale bars, battery packs, USB 3.0 and Ethernet cables. The manufacturer lists spare parts service, repair, on-site support and training, but publishes no article numbers or spare parts catalogue.

Send the part and the measurement task

State what is required: a scanner matched to the part, a replacement stylus or module, photogrammetry for a large object, automated in-line inspection, training or service. Add the material, dimensions and destination city. We will say what the documentation confirms and what needs separate checking.
