Airins equipment for methane and air-quality monitoring
Airins is a Singapore developer of methane (CH4) and wider air-pollution detection systems for aerial and ground platforms, formerly known as Soarability. The official home page describes the company as follows: "AIRINS (formerly Soarability) develops integrated aerial- and ground-based intelligence solutions for methane (CH4) and wider air-pollution monitoring". Its headquarters are in Changi Business Park, Singapore; the website has no Russian version and the only published contact is inquiry@airins.com.
The portfolio consists of three product lines and a software platform. MetScan is a payload for methane 3D screening and quantification using diffuse-reflection OP-TDLAS. Sniffer4D Nano 2 Plus is a gas-detection payload in two versions: Multi-Gas with five slots for swappable sensor modules, and Methane using Multi-Pass TDLAS. Speedip V2+ is a winch-based UAV water sampling system offered in two mutually incompatible models. Data processing and reporting run in the cloud platform AIRINS.ai.
The equipment is used in pipeline LDAR programmes, at facilities and plants with distributed leak sources, for rough methane surveys at landfills, in air pollution mapping and in water sampling. The manufacturer aligns its workflows with the LDAR approach, EU Methane Regulation (2024/1787), OGMP 2.0, U.S. EPA OOOOb/c and the China National Methane Emissions Control Action Plan.
What remains unconfirmed and is therefore not claimed here: the full legal name, registration number and year of foundation are not disclosed by the manufacturer; it declares no official presence in Russia and the CIS, and no EAEU or TR TS certificates were found in the sources verified; IP rating, weight and dimensions of MetScan and Sniffer4D, measurement accuracy and battery runtime are not disclosed in the sources verified. The manufacturer's technical brochures and datasheets are behind a login in an internal wiki.
A note on names that do not belong to this manufacturer: airin.su is a Russian greeting-card service and speedip.co is an internet speed test. In some Russian listings the Sniffer4D product is called "DJI Sniffer4D", but on the official website DJI appears only as a compatible UAV platform.
Choose an Airins line
Below are the three product lines and the software platform, together with the consumable and service items the manufacturer names separately: swappable sensor modules, the calibration cell, containers, integration kits, the winch tether, the cover and the landing gear. Where information is confirmed by an official manufacturer page or by the DJI ecosystem catalogue it is stated; where specifications are not disclosed this is marked. The manufacturer publishes no technical datasheets, so numeric data is confirmed per item.
MetScan — UAV methane 3D screening
MetScan is a UAV payload for methane 3D screening and quantification. Measurement uses diffuse-reflection OP-TDLAS: the laser beam is directed at a surface and the backscattered light is analysed at methane-specific wavelengths, producing a path-integrated concentration. The laser is stated as Class 3R and the data rate as up to 50 Hz. On board there is an 8-core processor rated to 6 TOPS and an in-house ultra-stable 3-axis gimbal; the optical system is dual-camera with synchronous telephoto and wide-angle video on one timeline, automatically tagged with flight time, methane concentration, SNR intensity, distance, UAV coordinates and relative altitude. The MS-DATA recorder stores the full data set locally regardless of connectivity. Two survey modes are provided: Belt Scan, a continuous strip of georeferenced measurements along a linear asset, and Sector Scan, a fenceline fan survey where entry into the site is not permitted. Compatibility: DJI Matrice 350 and Matrice 400 through the DJI Payload SDK and SkyPort, working directly in the DJI Pilot app; for non-DJI UAVs a platform-independent kit with on-board RTK-GNSS and IMU is available.
Selection needs the carrier model, the required route length, altitude and survey mode, plus the task: pipeline, facility or landfill screening. The manufacturer positions the solution primarily for natural gas and oil and gas, and states separately that the same screening workflow may be applied to other methane sources, including landfills, depending on site conditions, constraints and the results required.
Sniffer4D Nano 2 Plus is a gas-detection payload in two versions: Multi-Gas with five internal slots for swappable sensor modules, and Methane built on Multi-Pass TDLAS for methane only. The methane version is stated with a linear range of 0~11 000 ppm, a detection limit of 200 ppb at a typical baseline noise of 60 ppb and stable temperature, and a display resolution of 100 ppb. Confirmed modules: PM 1.0 & 2.5 & 10 by light scattering, 5~1 000 µg/m³, detection limit 5 µg/m³, resolution 1 µg/m³; O3+NO2 and a separate NO2 module by electrochemistry, 0~11 ppm, limit 10 ppb, resolution 1 ppb; CO by electrochemistry, 0~11 ppm, limit 0.05 ppm, resolution 0.005 ppm. Compatibility: DJI Matrice 4D/4TD with Dock 3, Matrice 4E/4T/30/30T and Matrice 400, which can carry up to two Sniffer4D Nano 2 Plus units. Data display and system control run in DJI Pilot and DJI FlightHub 2. The line is not limited to the air: the manufacturer describes use on robot dogs and ground vehicles.
Selection needs the site and task (air pollution mapping, a rough methane survey at a facility or landfill, HAZMAT response), the set of components to be measured and the reporting requirements. The carrier is confirmed separately: the manufacturer's meteorological system is stated for Matrice 400 only and can run with the Sniffer4D Nano 2 Plus or standalone. Ready configurations: "Ambient air monitoring 1" - PM 1.0/2.5/10 + O3 + NO2 + CO + TVOC, and "Ambient air monitoring 2" - PM 1.0/2.5/10 + O3 + NO2 + CO + SO2.
The AIRINS Meteorological System is an external module for high-accuracy measurement of wind, temperature and humidity. The manufacturer states it for integration with the DJI Matrice 400 only; the module can be used together with the Sniffer4D Nano 2 Plus or standalone. For gas missions the meteorological data is fundamental: transport and dispersion of a plume are driven by wind, and the kg/h emission quantification that the manufacturer, at the time of checking, offered as a trial offline process together with the AIRINS team depends directly on the flight pattern, wind and terrain - that is, on the conditions the meteorological system records.
Selection needs the carrier model and the payload set on board: on the Matrice 400 the manufacturer allows up to two Sniffer4D Nano 2 Plus units at a time, with the meteorological system as a separate module or paired with the gas detector. If kg/h emission quantification is planned, state this separately: at the time of checking it was offered as a trial process rather than a standard feature of every deployment.
Speedip V2+ (M400 Model) is a winch-based UAV water sampling system for the DJI M400. The main unit weighs under 750 g and is made mainly of aerospace aluminium alloy. The winch releases up to 10 m of tether, and the actual depth depends on hover height: 1 m above the water gives up to 9 m, 5 m gives up to 5 m; tether extension and custom depths are not supported because they are limited by the space in the winch. The standard kit includes a 2 L PMMA container and the DJI M400 integration kit, together with the bracket, PSDK and OSDK cables and adapters - no additional mounting adapter is needed. The system performs physical sampling only: it does not analyse water quality, measure flow velocity or take multiple samples in a single mission. The Speedip Cloud web platform is no longer available for the Speedip V2+.
Selection needs the carrier model and Speedip version, the required sampling depth, the container volume and material, and the task: routine monitoring, forensic evidence collection, aquatic research or emergency sampling. With the 2 L container the DJI M400 can carry an H30T or a Sniffer4D as well when a dual gimbal is used and the bracket is set up correctly - total load and balance are checked in that case.
Speedip V2+ (M350/M300 Model) is the second version of the water sampling system, designed for the DJI M350 and M300. The two Speedip V2+ versions differ in firmware, power consumption, integration kits, cases and container options; their units and accessories are not interchangeable, and the M350/M300 version cannot be upgraded to the M400 version. The standard kit includes a 1.1 L PMMA container and the DJI M350/M300 integration kit. A 1 L stainless steel container is sold separately: the manufacturer states that such containers are tested for the absence of PFAS leaching and adsorption at ppt level and that every batch undergoes third-party testing. Automatic waypoint missions run through DJI Pilot, and other UAVs can be integrated through the USB-C API.
When ordering, state the carrier model and Speedip version: containers and integration kits are not interchangeable between the M400 and M350/M300 versions. Also provide the required depth and sample volume, the operating conditions (sea water, high humidity, precipitation) and whether a stainless steel container is needed for PFAS samples. Mounting on a VTOL is not recommended by the manufacturer.
AIRINS.ai (AAI) is the cloud platform where MetScan and Sniffer4D Nano 2 Plus data is processed. Confirmed capabilities: interactive 2D/3D maps with concentration overlays, Point Cloud, Grid, Ray and Interpolation modes, AI identification of hotspots, one-click report generation, export to .csv, .json and .shp (GIS-ready), animations, screenshots, short screen recordings and shareable Google Maps links. Reports are produced as PDF and editable DOCX; the report structure covers the title, summary, methods and QA/QC, hotspot details, limitations and cautions, glossary and units. Access follows a Main Account + Sub-account model: the main account sees all missions and decides what to release to sub-accounts, and each sub-account corresponds to one end client. Hosting is multi-regional: EU, US, Singapore and China, with GDPR-aligned governance stated for EU users. An on-premises option is available for deployment on customer infrastructure.
Selection needs the number and geography of users, the required inspection distance allowance, the number of sub-accounts for end clients, data residency requirements and the output formats needed: PDF, editable DOCX or export to .csv, .json and .shp. It is also confirmed separately whether an on-premises option is required and whether a software-only subscription is needed for third-party methane sensors - the manufacturer names BLV, Laser Falcon and Purway as data-compatible and states that it is not affiliated with them.
The sample container is a swappable part of the Speedip V2+ system that defines both the sample volume and its cleanliness requirements. The 2 L PMMA container is included in the standard M400 version kit, and the 1.1 L PMMA container in the M350/M300 version kit. A 1 L stainless steel container is sold separately as an option; the PFAS-Ready package includes three of them. The manufacturer states that stainless steel containers are tested for the absence of PFAS leaching and adsorption at ppt level and that every batch undergoes third-party testing. The Speedip V2+ versions differ in container options, and their units and accessories are not interchangeable.
State the Speedip version and the required volume and material: PMMA for routine sampling, stainless steel when the sample is tested for PFAS and trace organics. If containers are needed as a set for a series of sampling runs, give the quantity. The manufacturer does not disclose separate part numbers or supply terms for containers.
The main consumable in the gas detection line is the set of swappable Sniffer4D sensor modules, which are installed in the five internal slots of the Multi-Gas platform. Confirmed modules and their stated specifications: PM 1.0 & 2.5 & 10 by light scattering, 5~1 000 µg/m³, detection limit 5 µg/m³, resolution 1 µg/m³; O3+NO2 by electrochemistry, 0~11 ppm, limit 10 ppb, resolution 1 ppb; a separate NO2 module by electrochemistry, 0~11 ppm, limit 10 ppb, resolution 1 ppb; CO by electrochemistry, 0~11 ppm, limit 0.05 ppm, resolution 0.005 ppm. The manufacturer's request form also lists PM 100, TVOC, H2S, NH3, Odor (OU), TSP, SO2 and HCHO, but that is a list of interest in the enquiry: their specifications are not disclosed on the official page. The manufacturer does not publish separate part numbers for the modules.
For selection, provide the set of components to be measured, how they are distributed across the slots and which modules are replaced as part of scheduled servicing. State the site and task separately: air pollution mapping, a rough methane survey or HAZMAT response. Unconfirmed items from the list of interest are not quoted until their specifications are confirmed.
The MetScan packing list includes a calibration cell (methane reference cell) used to check and adjust the measurement path. The instrument itself is factory-calibrated, and an automatic calibration runs before every mission; manual calibration by the operator is not required, and the cell stays in the kit as a checking tool. Whether the cell is sold separately from the MetScan is not disclosed by the manufacturer in the sources verified. There is no spare parts catalogue or part number list on the website.
If the cell is needed as a separate item, state whether it comes in addition to a MetScan already supplied or replaces a lost one, and attach the serial number or documents for a previously supplied system. Separate supply is confirmed against the specific enquiry.
The MetScan is designed around the DJI Matrice 350 and Matrice 400: the payload runs through the DJI Payload SDK and SkyPort directly in the DJI Pilot app, without third-party software. For non-DJI UAVs the manufacturer provides a platform-independent kit with on-board RTK-GNSS and IMU: the carrier mainly needs to supply power and sufficient payload capacity, while georeferencing of the measurements is handled by the kit itself. The manufacturer does not name specific non-DJI carrier models and publishes no compatibility lists, and georeferencing without its own RTK-GNSS may be inferior to the native DJI integration.
For selection, provide the carrier model, payload capacity, available mounting space and how the payload is powered, along with the required accuracy of measurement georeferencing. If the carrier is a DJI Matrice 350 or 400, integration follows the standard DJI Payload SDK route; for other platforms the kit scope and supply arrangements are confirmed separately.
Each of the two Speedip V2+ versions has its own integration kit: the DJI M400 kit comes with the standard M400 version, and the DJI M350/M300 kit with the M350/M300 version. The versions differ in integration kits and power consumption among other things, so a kit from one version cannot be carried over to the other, and the M350/M300 version cannot be upgraded to the M400. The bracket, PSDK and OSDK cables and adapters are part of the standard kit - no additional mounting adapter is needed. The bracket is adjustable, with three positions for a single or dual gimbal and H30/H20 cameras; installation and removal take under 10 seconds and the container can be changed with one hand. For MetScan on a non-DJI carrier there is a separate platform-independent kit with on-board RTK-GNSS and IMU: the carrier mainly has to provide power and sufficient payload capacity.
For an order, name the carrier model, the Speedip version and the other payloads on board. With the 2 L container the DJI M400 can carry an H30T or a Sniffer4D as well when a dual gimbal is used and the bracket is set up correctly; the same applies to the M350/M300 with the 1.1 L container, with total load and balance checked. For a non-DJI carrier, provide its model, payload capacity and available mounting space - for Speedip this is from 25 x 18 x 35 cm and from 2.2 kg.
The Speedip winch tether is a replaceable item, but the manufacturer states that the tether is replaced at the factory only: after the emergency cut-off has triggered, the unit must be returned to AIRINS for tether replacement, and user disassembly is not provided for. The emergency cut-off is a one-button container release used when the container becomes stuck, protecting both the UAV and the unit itself. Current condition is tracked by the Health Management System, which raises abnormal-state alerts and maintenance notices, and the recommended factory service interval for the winch is after 2,000 m of cumulative operation. Real-time tether control monitors tension, re-spooling and bottom contact, preventing tangling and knots.
Tether replacement and winch service are carried out at the factory. For a request, provide the Speedip version, the unit serial number, the cumulative winch mileage from the HMS data and what exactly happened: an emergency cut-off event, manufacturer-recommended servicing or abnormal system alerts.
The internal Speedip boards resist moisture, dust and corrosion, but full three-way protection is achieved only with the water-resistant cover, which the manufacturer names as a required element for that mode. Use in rain is not recommended because the ports are not fully sealed; no IP rating for the Speedip is stated in the sources verified. The Extended Landing Gear is named as a separate item in the FAQ section, and the manufacturer does not disclose its supply terms.
If the system is used in high humidity, at sea or stored on site for long periods, the water-resistant cover should be planned together with the system. For selection, provide the Speedip version and the operating conditions; for the extended landing gear, the carrier model and payload configuration. The manufacturer does not disclose separate pricing or supply terms for these items.
The manufacturer does not publish a spare parts catalogue or part numbers: none of the four pages of the official website contains a parts list, component numbers or compatibility tables, and the technical PDFs are behind a login in an internal wiki. Items such as sensor modules, the calibration cell, containers, the cover and integration kits are therefore selected by intended use, platform model and task description, with the scope and part number confirmed for the specific item. Two service procedures are named officially: tether replacement at the factory only, and recommended winch servicing after 2,000 m of operation. Supply, payment and service terms are published by the manufacturer for some items only, so we do not reproduce them here: they are confirmed for the specific item.
Attach a description of the item in your own words, a photo of the unit, the serial number or documents for a previously supplied system, and the carrier model. We will state what is officially confirmed and what needs separate checking: EAEU and TR TS certificates were not found in the sources verified, no official manufacturer presence in Russia and the CIS is declared, and the technical datasheets are behind a login.
Describe the site and the task: a linear asset or a facility with distributed leak sources, a rough methane survey at a landfill, air pollution mapping, HAZMAT response, routine or emergency water sampling, aquatic research. State the carrier model, because half of the items depend on it: the MetScan works with the DJI Matrice 350 and Matrice 400 through the DJI Payload SDK and SkyPort, the Sniffer4D Nano 2 Plus with the Matrice 4D/4TD, 4E/4T/30/30T and 400, the Speedip V2+ is built separately for the M400 and for the M350/M300, and the meteorological system is stated for the Matrice 400 only. For the gas line list the components to be measured and the required ranges; for the sampling line give the depth, volume and container material. State separately any requirements for reports, data export and data residency if they matter to the customer.
Spare parts, consumables and service items
The manufacturer publishes no spare parts catalogue or part numbers: none of the four pages of the official website contains a parts list, component numbers or compatibility tables. Only the elements described as supplied or replaceable are named separately. In the gas line these are the swappable Sniffer4D sensor modules and the MetScan methane reference cell supplied in the packing list. In the sampling line they are the 2 L and 1.1 L PMMA containers and the 1 L stainless steel container tested for the absence of PFAS leaching and adsorption at ppt level, the DJI M400 and M350/M300 integration kits, the bracket with PSDK and OSDK cables, the water-resistant cover, the extended landing gear and the winch tether. The tether is a replaceable item, but replacement is carried out at the factory only: after the emergency cut-off has triggered the unit returns to AIRINS, and recommended winch servicing follows 2,000 m of cumulative operation according to the Health Management System.
Send the site, the task and the carrier model
State what is required: an equipment configuration, consumable items, an AIRINS.ai subscription or a service request, and add the destination city. For equipment it helps to give the carrier model and the payloads already in use; for consumables, the serial number and documents for a previously supplied system. We will state what is officially confirmed and what needs separate checking: the manufacturer has no spare parts or part number catalogue, the technical datasheets are behind a login, no official presence in Russia and the CIS is declared, and no EAEU or TR TS certificates were found in the sources verified.
