Specify cartridges, bodies and coils for Flucom equipment against the hydraulic circuit and operating duty. Define a component package for a new project or a replacement assembly.
Component categories
The manufacturer catalogue covers pressure, directional, flow, motion and electrical control valves, together with standard bodies and accessories.
Pressure control: LPS and RPA
The manufacturer separates pressure relief and pressure reducing cartridges. Specify the hydraulic function and the complete designation when replacing an LPS or RPA valve.
Relief series: LPS 20 and LPA 20
Further relief types: LPB 30 and LPI 30
Reducing types: RPA 20, RLY 30 and RLD 20
Check and pilot operated valves
Flucom lists CAB, CAE, CAT and CAP in its directional control category. Identify the port arrangement, free flow direction and, where applicable, the pilot connection before selecting a replacement.
CAB 20 and CAE 20
CAT 20 and CAP 30
Confirm the function in the specific model sheet
Flow control: RDB and RDC
The flow control category includes RDB, RDA, RDI, RDC and RDZ. A useful specification distinguishes the required flow, controlled direction and reverse flow behaviour.
RDB 20 flow control series
RDA 20 and RDI 20 series
RDC 30 and RDZ 30 series
Motion control: CMS and CMQ
The manufacturer groups CMS, CMQ, CMB and CMC under motion control. Selection for a loaded actuator starts with the machine circuit and the required movement conditions.
CMS 20 and CMQ 30 series
CMB 20 and CMC 30 series
Include load information and the circuit diagram
Electrical control: ECP and ETD
The catalogue distinguishes poppet, spool and proportional solenoid valves. Specify the switching diagram, de-energised state and coil designation as separate selection inputs.
Poppet types: ECP 20, EPP 30 and ECD 20
Spool types: ETD 20, ETD 30 and ETD 50
Proportional types: PPI 30, PLP 30 and PLY 30
Bodies, coils and accessories
The manufacturer provides standard body and accessory categories and lists B20, B30 and B50 coils. Define the cartridge, body, coil and electrical connection separately in the requested package.
Standard bodies have a separate catalogue category
B20, B30 and B50 coils
Specify the purpose of each requested accessory
Identify the installed cartridge
Start an enquiry with a clear photograph of the installed valve. Capture the marking around its body, the adjustment end and the surrounding connections. Add several views if a label is partly hidden by paint or mounting hardware.
Record uncertain characters separately so that a guessed designation is not mistaken for a confirmed part number.
Transcribe the whole designation, including spaces, slashes, hyphens and letter suffixes. A series name identifies a family rather than a complete configuration. Add the remaining characters to an LPS 20 or ETD 30 reference, together with the quantity and the machine nameplate.
A previous purchase specification can also help establish what equipment is being requested.
For an unmarked component, provide dimensions, a connection diagram and the hydraulic manifold documentation. Show the valve location relative to nearby components and identify its drawing position. When several similar cartridges share a manifold, label the photographs individually.
This gives the technical and purchasing teams the same reference for each requested item.
Define the hydraulic duty
Describe the function before selecting a series: pressure limitation, pressure reduction in a branch, flow adjustment, load control or directional switching. Include the circuit symbol and its legend where available.
A similar threaded section is insufficient evidence that two cartridges perform the same function or can be substituted in a working system.
State the fluid, temperature, inlet and outlet pressure and the required flow in each relevant operating mode. Separate continuous values from short pressure peaks. For a project with several cycles, a table showing the operation, pressure, flow and duration is useful.
Limits must be checked against the specific model sheet rather than transferred from another family.
For a loaded cylinder or hydraulic motor, include the load arrangement and movement sequence. Explain whether a problem appears during starting, holding, lowering or stopping. These observations help define the requested assembly.
Establishing the cause of a machine fault requires the customer's maintenance and engineering assessment before a replacement can be approved.
Check the cavity and installation
For an existing manifold, provide the cavity drawing or its designation in the machine documentation. The comparison needs the thread, port positions, sealing surfaces and installation depth.
Measurements of a removed valve are helpful supporting information, but they do not describe the internal passages of the block on their own.
If an alternative series is considered, list the comparison criteria explicitly: function, flow direction, cavity, operating duty and adjustment method. Include the control signal for an electrically operated valve.
The agreed specification should identify the result of these checks before the customer approves a change to the machine.
Keep a replacement enquiry distinct from the design of a new manifold. An installed component and the machine documents are the starting point for a replacement. A new project instead needs a circuit, actuator parameters and connection requirements.
State which task applies so the requested package matches the engineering scope.
Specify the electrical package
Photograph the coil label and connector independently from the cartridge marking. State the supply voltage, current type, connection arrangement and control circuit.
A photograph of a similar unmarked coil cannot establish its electrical configuration, even when the mounting diameter appears to match the installed component.
Describe the requested scope: valve with coil, hydraulic cartridge only, replacement coil or connector and cable. Separate line items are clearer than a single request for a complete valve. They show which components will stay on the machine and which should be included in the calculation.
Assign a quantity to each item.
For proportional control, provide the controller output signal and amplifier information where the circuit uses one. Explain the regulation task and required behaviour through the operating cycle.
The proportional family name alone does not determine compatibility with installed electronics; the electrical and hydraulic requirements must be considered together.
Bodies, accessories and project contents
When a valve body is required, include the port arrangement and connection designations. Clarify whether the request concerns a separate body or a cartridge for an existing manifold. Show any access restrictions for adjustment or coil removal.
Installation space matters both during assembly and when the customer later services the equipment.
List accessories by purpose, dimensions and the main item they belong to. Avoid a single undefined line covering plugs, filters, fasteners and seals. For several identical machines, show the number of assemblies per machine and the total machine count.
A structured bill of materials allows the requested quantities to be checked before quotation.
Identify adjustment protection requirements separately from hydraulic sealing requirements. A tamper seal on an adjustment and a fluid seal have different purposes. A photograph and a drawing reference help identify the requested item.
Define the package through an agreed list so engineering documents and procurement records describe the same assembly.
Prepare an enquiry and delivery brief
Send a list with the designation, component description, quantity and supporting files. Mark urgent items separately. When a marking is unreadable, leave the uncertain code blank and attach photographs rather than inventing a part number.
Several assemblies may be included in one enquiry if each remains identifiable as its own line item.
Add the destination, required delivery date and a technical contact for engineering questions. For a plant purchasing request, include an internal reference to connect the documents and provide the technical specification as a separate attachment.
The initial review establishes which items can be assessed and which data needs clarification.
SpareX structures requests for industrial equipment packages and replacement components around the customer's project. State the requested packing, shipment grouping and receiving arrangements. The quotation should identify the agreed equipment contents and delivery scope.
On receipt, the customer can compare labels, quantities and included accessories with that specification before installation.
