Lugged wafer knife gate valves LW series are rated up to 10 bar (150 psi CWP) for abrasive, scaling, and corrosive slurries. A mechanically retained molded body seal and self-cleaning flush-out corners prevent solids accumulation. Built-in PTFE scrapers keep the gate clean throughout the stroke.

Mono-Flanged High-Pressure Knife Gate Valves INSAMCOR MH Series

Mono-flanged high-pressure knife gate valves MH series operate at up to 16 bar (230 psi CWP) in demanding tailings and ash slurry pipelines. A combination transverse seal and adjustable stuffing box enables seal repacking under full line pressure. Bodies are supplied in ductile iron SRL or FBE.

Ported blade knife gate valves PB series rated at 10 bar (150 psi CWP) combine a ported gate with field-replaceable heavy-duty elastomer sleeves. The cavity-free bore and bottom door with flushing points prevent particle jamming in wet or dry slurries. A standard bellows protects the spindle.

Across the LW, MH, and RF series, a mechanically retained molded body seal works in tandem with self-cleaning flush-out corners that induce localized turbulence during gate closure to sweep settled particles out of the seating zone.

In the large-bore MLB series (28 to 48 inches), a mechanically retained extruded body seal and full-stroke gate guides maintain tight shut-off without dead pockets.

Ported Blade Mechanics and Elastomer Sleeve Selection in INSAMCOR PB Valves

The INSAMCOR PB series utilizes a ported blade geometry paired with field-replaceable heavy-duty elastomer sleeves that create an unobstructed, cavity-free flow bore for wet or dry bulk solids.

As the gate cycles, coarse particles are drawn into the lower body extension equipped with flushing ports and a clean-out door.

Sleeve compounds are matched to process chemistry: Natural Rubber (NR) provides superior abrasion resistance in mineral slurries, EPDM resists ozone and oxidizing chemicals, Fluorocarbon (FKM/FPM) handles aromatic hydrocarbons and acids, and Nitrile (NBR) serves oily and hydrocarbon media.

Body Linings, Duplex Metallurgy, and Replaceable Ni-Hard Deflector Cones

To withstand combined erosion and chemical attack across pipeline diameters from DN50 to DN1200, INSAMCOR MH, MLB, and RF valves are manufactured in Ductile Iron SRL (Soft Rubber Lined) for heavy slurry duty and Ductile Iron FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy) for corrosive industrial effluents.

Gate blades and wetted assemblies are specified in 304 or 316 stainless steel or SAF2205 duplex alloy for chloride-rich circuits. On ring-flanged RF series valves isolating dredge pumps and ash lines, an optional replaceable Ni-Hard deflector wear cone absorbs direct particle impingement.

In-Line Stuffing Box Maintenance and Modular Actuator Configurations

High-pressure MH (230 psi / 16 bar), large-bore MLB, and ring-flanged RF series valves incorporate a combination transverse seal and adjustable stuffing box that allows maintenance personnel to repack the gland under full line pressure.
