Portuguese engineering manufacturer VALSTEAM ADCA traces its history back to 1983, when founder Fernando Pereira Soares established family fluid engineering business Eurofluido. The enterprise subsequently developed its own steam valve line and registered the globally recognized ADCA brand.

Today the modern manufacturing complex is located in Guia industrial zone in Portugal, bringing together over 22,000 square meters of workshops, design bureaus and testing laboratories.

An advanced testing bench covering 329 square meters allows full validation of valves at maximum pressure and temperature.

ADCA steam traps: thermodynamic, ball float and thermostatic units

The comprehensive ADCA steam trap portfolio is engineered to reliably purge condensate from steam headers, heat exchangers and process equipment without live steam loss. Thermodynamic models DT40R, DT42/2 and DT46R operate on kinetic principles, featuring compact dimensions and internal strainers.

For processes demanding continuous condensate removal under fluctuating thermal loads, FLT ball float steam traps deliver high flow capacity and integral thermostatic air vents.

To minimize maintenance downtime, universal swivel modules UniADCA UFS32 and compact CTS4U trapping stations are deployed on UCX90 connectors.

ADCATrol modulating globe control valves and multi-spring diaphragm actuators

ADCATrol globe control valves deliver high-accuracy automated flow and pressure control for steam, industrial gases, thermal oils and process media. Standard two-way and three-way valve series V16 and V25 span nominal dimensions from DN 15 to DN 200 rated for pressures PN 16 and PN 40.

Valves are equipped with linear or equal percentage throttle plugs with hardened metal seats or soft PTFE sealing inserts.

Multi-spring pneumatic diaphragm actuators series PA ensure fail-safe spring return action, complemented by digital positioners providing continuous modulation feedback and diagnostics.

ADCA direct acting pressure reducing valves PRV and pipeline ancillaries

ADCA direct acting pressure regulators PRV25 and PRV47 reduce and automatically maintain downstream pressure in saturated steam, compressed air and neutral gas networks without external power utilities.

The sensitive diaphragm transmits line force to an adjusting spring, stabilizing heat exchanger operation.

To complete pipeline loops, the plant produces an extensive range of Pipeline Ancillaries.

Offerings include strainers series IS, spring loaded wafer check valves series RD, disc sight glasses and flow indicators SW, as well as vacuum breakers VB21 in bronze or stainless alloy, guarding process vessels against vacuum collapse.

ADCAPure sanitary valves and clean steam equipment for pharmaceutical duties

The specialized ADCAPure product family was developed by VALSTEAM ADCA engineers to meet stringent hygiene and sterility criteria across biopharma, cosmetic and food installations. All wetted parts are crafted from low-carbon austenitic stainless alloy AISI 316L (1.4404 and 1.4435).

Internal fluid surfaces undergo electropolishing to Ra values below 0.4 um, preventing bacterial adhesion and simplifying clean-in-place routines.

The ADCAPure line includes thermostatic clean steam traps TSS6, modulating control valves, angle relief valves SV98 and drainable Tri-Clamp pipeline connections.
