Welding and cutting equipment for Bug-O Systems

Define a welding or cutting package by Bug-O Systems model, workpiece geometry and the required equipment scope.

Modular Drive System

A configurable drive platform combines a master drive, carriage and interchangeable motion controls. Identify the installed drive and control module when replacing components; define the travel path and rail mounting for a new package.

  • Master drive travel 51–3048 mm/min
  • Straight and stitch control modules
  • Linear and pendulum weaving options
  • Closed-loop speed and position control

GO-FER IV cutting and welding carriage

A rack-driven carriage carries an oxy-fuel or plasma torch, or a welding torch assembly. Wheels engage the rail grooves. Assess the drive, tool holder and guide rail together when specifying replacements or a complete working package.

  • Travel speed 63.5–2540 mm/min
  • Rack drive with dynamic motor braking
  • Rigid Rail or task-specific Semi-Flex
  • Cutting and welding kits differ

K-BUG 3000 and K-BUG 3000-BAT

This magnetic fillet-welding carriage combines travel and torch oscillation. BAT identifies the battery-powered variant. A replacement enquiry should identify the complete model, controls, torch mounting and installed accessories.

  • Independent left and right dwell settings
  • Programmable oscillation parameters
  • Magnetic traction on the workpiece
  • Local panel and remote operation

DC-IV dual-range track drive

DC-IV uses positive rack-and-pinion travel on a 305 mm carriage. Alternative pinions provide different working ranges. Include the drive identification, a photograph of the engagement and the installed pinion reference in a parts enquiry.

  • Two speed ranges
  • 305 mm drive carriage
  • Drive engagement clutch
  • Cutting and welding attachments

K-BUG 2000 dual-torch fillet welding

A magnetic trackless carriage follows the workpiece and can carry two torches to weld opposite sides of a stiffener. Specify the profile, welding position, guide-wheel arrangement and required operating sequence when defining a package.

  • Dual welding-torch arrangement
  • Continuous and stitch welding
  • Guide wheels follow web or flange
  • Adjustable closed-loop travel speed

MM-1 programmed pipe profiling

MM-1 provides computer-controlled cutting of profiles, holes and shapes in pipe. Separate the drive and controls from the torch, chuck and tooling in an enquiry, so the supply boundary corresponds to the actual fabrication task.

  • Pipe diameters 102–406 mm
  • Programmed profiles and holes
  • Oxy-fuel or plasma cutting
  • Configuration follows workpiece geometry

Identify the installed assembly

Begin with an overall photograph of the carriage, followed by identification labels on the drive, control module and required component. A family name does not describe the entire installation. Connect each photograph to a drawing reference and quantity.

If the label is damaged, include the parts-list page and mounting dimensions.

State whether the requirement is a complete carriage, drive module, holder, rail or cable. A clear supply boundary allows purchasing and engineering teams to compare quotations against the same scope.

Match rails and running components

For a rail-mounted system, provide an end view of the guide, the running surfaces and section joints. Specify the working length, fixing arrangement and orientation relative to the workpiece. Include adjacent components in photographs of a damaged wheel so its installation can be understood.

For a pinion enquiry, supply the reference and assembly drawing. Outside diameter alone is insufficient for selecting a replacement. Engagement, mounting and travel requirements should be checked together with the existing drive and guide.

Define the drive and control boundary

Separate mechanical and electrical requirements in a drive enquiry. Mechanical information includes mounting, transmission and motor identification. For controls, attach photographs of the panel, labelled circuit assembly and connectors.

State the installed supply configuration and interfaces to other equipment.

Describe any observed fault as an operating sequence with a visible result, including the selected mode. These details support component identification. Measurements, servicing and disassembly remain the responsibility of qualified personnel following the site’s approved procedures.

Specify torch mounting and adjustment

For a holder or positioning assembly, identify the torch, clamping dimensions and required directions of adjustment. Include an overall view of the carriage mounting and a sketch showing the torch relative to the joint. Give every requested item its own reference in a multi-part enquiry.

When extending an installation, identify the torch and cable package that will be retained. Consider the holder, slide and oscillator together so the mechanical interfaces are compared before the final equipment scope is agreed.

Translate the welding task into motion

For an oscillating K-BUG 3000 or MDS configuration, describe the required torch movement, working width, edge dwells and operator controls. Indicate whether the request replaces an existing module or adds a new function to an established installation.

Photographs of the mounting point, parameter panel and control connections help define the package. The customer’s welding specialist specifies the process procedure.

Equipment selection links that procedure to the required motion components, controls and mechanical fixtures without assigning production settings on the customer’s behalf.

Describe trackless travel on the workpiece

Supply the profile cross-section and photographs of the travel path when the carriage follows the workpiece directly. Identify stiffeners, tack welds, projections and cable routes. For a dual-torch arrangement, mark both joint positions and the available space around the profile.

Describe a new package through its task and geometry. A replacement guide wheel or magnetic component also requires the installed carriage identification. The same drawings help evaluate attachment points, access for adjustment and clearance for the cable package.

Define a plate-cutting station

Identify the required oxy-fuel or plasma process, existing torch, material thickness, travel length and edge geometry. If the requirement covers motion equipment alone, state that the process source and torch will remain part of the customer’s installation.

For a new station, describe the available rail installation length and fixing method. Divide the scope into carriage, guides, attachments, positioning assemblies, control cables and process tooling. This gives engineering and procurement a common equipment list to review and approve.

Prepare a pipe-profiling enquiry

Provide pipe outside diameter, wall thickness, length and weight, together with a sketch of the cut or branch connection. Specify the intended cutting process. For an MM-1 replacement component, add the installation identification and the corresponding reference from its documentation.

Review the chuck, supports, drive, controls and cutting tool as separate scope items. The customer defines the required finished geometry and acceptance procedure. A representative drawing makes it possible to check the requested package before an agreed bill of equipment is produced.

Identify cable functions and connections

Photograph both ends of each cable and provide the identification, required length and connected equipment references. Connector contact count alone does not establish its function. Where a cable passes through moving equipment, show the routing and strain-relief points.

Separate carriage power, motion control and welding-source connections in the equipment list. Label similar-looking connectors in an overall installation photograph.

This keeps each item tied to its intended function and helps prevent different cables from being combined into a single ambiguous request.

Plan the maintenance package

Prepare a table containing the component description, drawing reference, quantity and attachment name for a maintenance shutdown. Combine repeated items only when their markings and configurations match. Identify equipment that must remain operational until replacement components arrive.

For a maintenance package covering several carriages, list their models and identification separately. Describe the working conditions and observed wear for mechanical service items. This separates immediate replacement needs from the additional components requested for later planned maintenance.

Review the proposed equipment list

Compare every quotation line with the corresponding item reference, component designation and quantity in your request. Establish whether a line covers a full assembly or a single element. For complete equipment, review the boundaries between drive, rail, fixtures, torch and external process source.

Tie questions to individual bill-of-equipment positions. Keep the agreed revision together with drawings and photographs. Receiving inspection follows the customer’s procedures, while installation and commissioning are carried out by personnel qualified for the equipment and process involved.

Connect equipment scope and export delivery

SpareX accepts enquiries for defined industrial equipment packages and replacement components. Supply the Bug-O Systems model, quantities, destination country and receiving location.

Begin with identification photographs and the intended task, then add the drawings needed to clarify the requested scope.

For project shipments, specify packing, unloading and any division into separate consignments. Identify which interfaces are provided by the customer or other contractors. This connects the technical equipment list to the delivery requirements in the same agreed quotation.
