4410-1105-A IP65 micrometer

This digital outside micrometer is selected by range and operating environment. List the instrument, any requested accessories and documentation requirements as separate items in your specification.

  • Measuring range 0–25 mm
  • Resolution 0.001 mm
  • IP65 protection for the specified version
  • Ratchet mechanism with measuring force 5–8 N

5111 dial indicators

For runout and displacement checks, specify measuring travel and mounting arrangement. A photograph of the holder helps distinguish a plain back from a lug back and identify the required indicator version.

  • 5111-0000: travel 0–10 mm, plain back
  • Graduation 0.01 mm; accuracy 0.017 mm
  • 5111-1005: lug-back version
  • The manufacturer specifies DIN878

Dial bore gauges

Select a bore gauge for the hole diameter and accessible depth. Identify the required indicator and contact set. For a replacement contact, include a photograph, dimensions and the code of the parent gauge.

  • An 18–35 mm bore gauge is listed
  • Instrument type: dial bore gauge
  • Enquiry data: hole diameter and depth
  • List measuring contacts separately

Height gauges and scribers

Specify the maximum workpiece height, the surface plate and whether readings need to be transferred. Include the required scriber or probe arrangement when preparing a workstation equipment list.

  • Vernier and digital versions are listed
  • 3230-8105-A uses a double-beam construction
  • SPC output is listed for 3230-8105-A
  • The scriber has a carbide tip

Magnetic bases and stands

For an indicator stand, specify the mounting surface, reach and clamp dimensions. A sketch showing the instrument position relative to the workpiece helps define the complete measuring arrangement.

  • The listed base has a nominal force of 80 kg
  • Two clamping holes for indicator mounting
  • A dovetail mounting option is provided
  • Enquiry data: reach and mounting dimensions

Gauge block sets

Choose a set by its size sequence and the work performed at the inspection station. To replenish an existing set, list each missing nominal size and the required documentation.

  • Sets with 47 and 81 blocks are listed
  • Steel is specified for these sets
  • The sets are supplied in a protective case
  • Enquiry data: sizes, quantity and required grade

Depth measuring instruments

For a recess, step or blind hole, show the reference surface and access to the bottom. Specify the depth range and the opening through which the measuring element must pass.

  • Depth micrometers are part of the catalogue
  • Specify depth and measurement geometry
  • Include reference-surface dimensions
  • List any required rod set separately

Contact points, anvils and mounting parts

Match a replacement part to the complete instrument code. For a contact point, provide its thread and contact geometry. For a back plate or mounting part, include photographs of both mating surfaces.

  • M2.5 contact points are described for 5111 indicators
  • 4230-2005 has an adapted spherical anvil
  • Indicator back plates differ by mounting style
  • Specify the part dimensions and quantity

Choosing the right measuring tool

Start with the dimension to be inspected: outside diameter, a bore, depth, height or surface displacement. Attach a drawing showing the measurement location and workpiece tolerance.

Describe where the operator works and how the workpiece is supported. Include access restrictions and the available space around the part.

Range, resolution and accuracy

Range identifies the span that an instrument can measure. Display resolution or scale graduation describes the readout step. Accuracy is a separate specification for a particular model. Include these requirements alongside the workpiece tolerance so that each property can be checked independently.

For example, 2015-1005-A is listed with a range of 0–150 mm, resolution of 0.01 mm and accuracy of ±0.02 mm. Preserve the complete code and its letter suffix when requesting the same version. A family name alone is insufficient to identify the exact instrument or accessories.

Identifying an existing instrument

Provide an overall photograph, a close view of the markings and a clear picture of the display or scale. Show the measuring surfaces and the mounting arrangement. A case label or the original manual may contain a complete code that is difficult to read on the instrument itself.

Explain whether the enquiry concerns an identical replacement, a different measuring range or an accessory. For damage, mark the affected area in a photograph and describe what happened.

Record critical connection dimensions separately and show the instrument assembled, so the replacement item can be related to its original position.

Contact points and mounting dimensions

For a replacement contact point, show the working tip and its connection to the instrument. Specify overall length, diameter, thread and contact geometry. For a clamp, include the mounting diameter and installation direction. For a micrometer anvil, provide the full micrometer code.

Assess the arrangement in its working position: access to the workpiece, holder position and available travel all matter. List the main instrument and its accessories together, while identifying the items already installed.

Selecting a bore gauge

State the minimum and maximum hole diameter and the depth of the measuring section. For a blind or stepped hole, attach a sectional sketch including the entry diameter. The enquiry should describe access to the measuring location as well as the nominal size of the hole.

List the required measuring head, indicator, contacts, extensions and case. When replacing an item from an existing set, provide a photograph of the complete set and its markings. Identify which components must remain in use and how many replacement contacts are required for the inspection station.

Equipping an inspection workstation

Describe the mounting arrangement and the position of the workpiece surface. For a dial indicator, identify the stand or fixture. For a height gauge, describe the surface plate and maximum part height. A simple sketch can show the measuring direction and available working space.

Separate the instrument, holder and accessories in the equipment list. For several workstations, specify the number and contents of each set.

Retain your own line references when submitting a combined list so that instruments, replacement parts and packaging can be assigned to the correct inspection positions.

Recording and transferring readings

If results must be recorded electronically, specify the instrument code, receiving device and intended connection. Include a photograph of the existing connector and any cable or transmitter markings.

For a new station, explain how the operator should capture each reading and where it should be stored.

State how many instruments need to connect and how readings will be triggered. Put the measuring tool and connection accessories on separate lines.

Add the required recording format and relevant software details to the technical enquiry, allowing the whole data collection arrangement to be considered during selection.

Documentation for the quality department

Provide your quality department’s required document list, such as a manual, instrument passport, inspection record or calibration document. Assign these requirements to individual items. If an internal measurement procedure affects tool selection, include the relevant excerpt with the enquiry.

Specify which information must appear in the documents, including the model, serial number, measuring range and inspection results. For a set, explain whether documents are needed for the whole assembly or each instrument.

Receiving and maintaining the equipment

When a shipment arrives, compare instrument markings with the agreed item list and check the case contents. Record model and serial information in your equipment register.

Follow the instructions for your particular version when preparing, cleaning and checking the instrument. Before disassembly, photograph any damaged element and its position in the complete assembly.

Include the observed problem and operating arrangement in a replacement request so the component can be matched to the intended use.

Preparing a DASQUA enquiry

Send the complete model or item code, quantity and delivery destination. Add the measuring range, preferred readout, workpiece geometry and accessory list. For a repair request, attach photographs of the damaged component and the markings on the parent instrument.

A spreadsheet is suitable for a group of items. Keep one article per line and preserve your drawing or procurement references. Indicate which items form complete sets and which are separate replacements.

Enter a contact for technical clarification and attach the relevant photographs, drawings or manual pages to the enquiry form.

Availability, price, lead time, compatibility and documentation are agreed for the specific enquiry. This page does not establish official dealership, authorised repair status or a common metrological approval for every DASQUA instrument.
