Checking the list for a repeat order
For a repeat purchase, attach the previous agreed specification and current photographs of the product markings. State whether the equipment configuration remains the same and whether the filter housing has changed.
Confirm the required quantity for each line, even where it matches the previous package.
If new installations have been added, put them in a separate group. Preserve the relationship between the part reference, the machine and its photograph. This allows the repeat requirement to be checked against current equipment while additions are considered separately.
Choose the filtration duty first
Start with the application: engine intake air, fuel, lubrication, hydraulics, industrial dust, compressed air or local fume extraction. Each duty needs its own equipment and identification data.
PowerCore appears in more than one Donaldson product area, so specify whether the enquiry concerns an engine air cleaner or a dust collection installation.
For a new assembly, describe the production task and the equipment around it. For replacement parts, begin with the installed component code. Keep equipment, service elements and housing parts on separate lines in the purchase list.
Identify a replacement filter
Copy the complete part number, including letters and suffixes. Provide a clear image of the marking and an overall photograph of the item. Where the label is damaged, include several views and a separate photograph of any remaining packaging.
Keep the packaging code distinct from the marking on the filter itself.
Also identify the machine or process in which it is installed. A labelled list makes it possible to connect each image, quantity and part code to the correct installation when several different filters are requested together.
Working from another manufacturer’s reference
Send the original reference without shortening it, together with the equipment make and model. Explain whether the item is currently installed or the number comes from an earlier quotation.
For spin-on filters, photographs of the threaded connection and sealing surface are useful additional identification data.
A cross-reference is a starting point for a catalogue check. The operating fluid, housing arrangement and system requirements belong in the same enquiry. If an earlier supplier proposed a different part, include both references and describe the replacement you need.
Selecting an engine air cleaner assembly
State whether the enquiry concerns a primary element, a safety element or the complete air cleaner. For an assembly, include engine information, required airflow and dust conditions. Available mounting space, inlet and outlet arrangement, and service access help define the installation requirement.
For installed equipment, photograph the housing with its cover closed and open, including the mounting points. List a cover, bracket or accessory separately from the filter element. This makes the requested service kit clear and keeps replacement parts linked to the existing housing.
Fuel, lubrication and hydraulic projects
An engine fuel or lube filter enquiry should include the engine identity, equipment model and full part code. For a hydraulic installation, specify the housing, fluid and position within the circuit. New assemblies also need flow, operating pressure, temperature and the required fluid cleanliness.
If a project specification defines filtration performance, provide the relevant page with the measurement units and test conditions. List the housing, replacement elements and accessories separately.
This helps distinguish the equipment required for installation from consumables needed for planned servicing.
Planning Torit dust collection
A Downflo or Dalamatic maintenance request needs the collector model, serial number and installed filter quantity. Photograph the marking, filter geometry and mounting detail. For a collector component, include its position in the assembly drawing and a wider view showing where it is fitted.
For a new dust collection project, describe the process, handled material, operating schedule and required air volume. Include the duct layout and available floor space. Keep each filter type on its own line so that the replacement set can be linked to the collector configuration.
Specifying compressed air and process filtration
Describe the medium and line duty: compressed air to equipment, a process gas, liquid treatment or steam filtration. For an existing installation, provide the housing and element codes. A new project needs flow, pressure, temperature and the required quality of the medium at the outlet.
Explain the existing treatment stages and the point where the new equipment will connect. Record cartridge dimensions and end connections for liquid filters, or the housing details for a gas filtration unit. Where several stages are required, list them in the order followed by the medium.
BOFA equipment and service filters
Provide the complete BOFA extractor name, including iQ or Pro OS Connect where present. For replacement filters, include the references from the manual and photographs of the installed set. List pre-filters and main filter assemblies separately, with a quantity for each item.
For a new extractor, describe the process, materials and connection to the working area. Add the electrical supply, extraction route and space constraints. These details support an enquiry for a defined system and its connection accessories rather than an unspecified collection of filters.
Prepare a clear procurement enquiry
For one replacement item, start with its code, quantity and photographs. For a larger package, send a table and retain the original line numbers. Attach drawings or manuals with the relevant page or component position marked.
Include the delivery destination and a contact for technical clarification.
Separate complete equipment from service elements in the table. For a new installation, add the project specification, connection diagram and site parameters.
Keep photograph filenames linked to the line numbers so that the selection process remains traceable from the first enquiry through the agreed specification.
Agree the equipment and spare parts package
We review the identification data for each requested position and clarify the required scope. The quotation separates complete assemblies, replacement filters, spare parts and connection accessories.
Equipment enquiries include the configuration and electrical supply, while consumables retain their full product references and quantities.
Before an order is finalised, compare the agreed list with your original table or project specification. Where items serve different machines, keep that allocation in the specification.
On receipt, use the agreed references and packaging labels to distribute the package to the correct installation or service location.
Availability, price, delivery timing and required documents are agreed for the selected configuration. We do not claim official dealer status or interchangeability based on a name alone; suitability is checked against equipment documentation.
