Cermate HMI panels and industrial gateways
Select Cermate HMI panels, ES Box gateways and expansions for your equipment by model, communication interfaces, application project and cabinet layout. Enquiries may also cover spare parts and accessories.
PM2 display and communication versions
A PM2 screen size does not identify its resolution or communication version. Keep the complete PM207 or PM210 code, including S or HS, in an enquiry. HS variants have listed HMI Server functions.
Send the rear label and photographs of the connected ports when selecting a panel for an existing installation.
- PM207-0C21S: 7″, 800×480.
- PM207-1C21S: 7″, 1024×600.
- PM210-1C21S: 10.1″, 1024×600.
- PM207-1C21S uses PM Designer v4.0.
PK2: the PK2070-31ST example
PK2070-31ST illustrates a seven inch Ethernet panel with serial communication ports. Compare the cabinet cutout, available depth and active connections before selecting replacement hardware.
For a separate touch sensor or display, provide its component marking, flex cable and connector photographs rather than relying on the panel name alone.
- 7″, 800×480, resistive touch screen.
- COM1: RS232; COM2: RS422/485; COM3: RS485.
- Cutout: 191.5×138 mm.
- Supply: 24 VDC ±10%.
PT2: the PT2070-51ST example
PT2070-51ST has the same stated cutout as the PK2 example, while its serial port configuration differs. Identify the ports used on your machine, their selected modes and cable wiring.
A panel enquiry should list the terminal connectors and mounting accessories separately so the requested assembly can be defined clearly.
- 7″ screen, 800×480 resolution.
- COM4: RS485; COM5: RS485, optional RS232.
- Cutout: 191.5×138 mm.
- Supply: 24 VDC ±10%; consumption 20 W.
PA2 C20 and C30 versions
PA2070-C20 and PA2070-C30 show why the final model characters matter in a purchasing specification. Their third port differs. Record the software version used by the installation and preserve the original application project before replacement.
Include the cable information between the operator panel and the machine controller in the enquiry.
- Both examples: 7″, 800×480.
- C20 has no COM3; C30 offers RS232 or RS485.
- Cutout: 185×128 mm.
- Listed editor: PM Designer v2.1.
IT400: the IT415-22 example
IT415-22 combines a large display with two Ethernet connections. Describe the local controller connection separately from the wider system network. Cabinet selection needs the cutout and rear clearance.
A replacement enquiry also needs the complete model, application project and information about the network segments actually used in the installation.
- 15″ screen, 1024×768.
- LAN1 and LAN2: one 10/100 Base-T each.
- Cutout: 384.5×283 mm.
- Editor: PM Designer v4.0.
ES Box: ES20-A00 and ES22-A00
ES Box is a separate gateway selected around the connections required between devices. The ES20 and ES22 examples differ in Ethernet arrangement and supply voltage. Send the connection diagram and full configuration code.
Specify optional interfaces against the exact hardware version, together with the connected controller and higher level system.
- ES20-A00: one RJ45; COM1/2 RS232/422/485.
- ES20-A00: isolated 24 VDC ±10% supply.
- ES22-A00: two RJ45, two network segments.
- ES22-A00: 12–36 VDC ±10% supply, Micro SD.
RM modules and signal allocation
An RM module enquiry should identify the panel or gateway it is fitted to, the expansion code and the signal diagram. List the number of channels and signal type for each line.
For several machines, divide the requirement into separate sets so each module remains linked to its intended installation and connection arrangement.
- RM01-I4A1: four NPN/PNP digital inputs.
- RM01-I4A1: one 0–20 mA current input.
- RM02-I8R8: eight NPN/PNP digital inputs.
- RM02-I8R8: eight relay outputs.
PM Designer, Runtime and remote monitoring
PM Designer edits the application, while PanelExpress provides HMI Runtime software. State the editor version, panel model and required operation: loading a preserved project, moving to another panel or adding monitoring.
Send the application file with a description of the task and identify the person responsible for the machine program.
- The download table separates PM v1.2, v2.1 and v4.0.
- PanelExpress: software licence or USB Dongle.
- IDCS provides connections; tManager provides PLC access.
- HMI in Hand: viewing/control; IDCS Client: notifications.
Identify the complete hardware code
Photograph the full product label so every letter and suffix can be read. Include the front of the installed panel and the rear connections. If the label is damaged, send the equipment list, electrical drawing or previous purchasing specification that identifies the position.
Keep a complete panel separate from a display, touch sensor or mounting accessory in the request. For an existing machine, state the machine model and the screen function: operator commands, recipes, alarms or process observation.
A new cabinet enquiry should define the controller, screen size and installation space.
Select the screen and cabinet arrangement
Measure the cabinet cutout, wall thickness and available rear clearance. Photograph the mounting fasteners and the direction of the connected cables. A requested gasket, frame or fixing kit should have its own identification and quantity in the equipment list.
Screen diagonal alone does not determine the installation dimensions. The PM207 and PA2070 examples use a 185×128 mm cutout; the PK2070-31ST and PT2070-51ST examples use 191.5×138 mm.
Compare the full drawing for the selected model with the cabinet, including access to neighbouring equipment and cable ducts.
Define communication and power connections
List the COM ports and Ethernet connections actually used, the controller model and the connection arrangement. A serial cable enquiry needs its length, connector types and a wiring drawing or clear photographs of both ends. Preserve the cable identification if it is available.
Record the selected RS232, RS422 or RS485 mode and the communication settings held in the application project. For Ethernet, show the required network segments and interfaces. Initial selection needs a connection diagram, without access credentials.
Confirm the supply voltage and terminal assignment against the documentation for the exact panel version.
Preserve the application before replacement
Keep the original project, editor version and target panel identification together. Describe the screens, communication links, recipes and functions that must remain available after replacement.
If an integrator owns the project, identify the person who can provide the application and accept the migration result.
Explain why the panel is being changed: display damage, additional communication, a different screen size or a spare unit for the existing line. Hardware purchasing and commissioning are separate steps.
Define acceptance actions with the responsible engineer, including opening the required screens, reading process values, checking alarms and communicating with the controller.
Choose a gateway and allocate I/O
Start with the connected devices: data source, controller, higher level system and the required direction of exchange. An ES Box request should define network segments, serial connections and mounting conditions. For RM modules, provide a signal list with each input and output identified.
Keep the main device code and existing expansion identification in the specification. Separate digital inputs, current measurements and relay control, with channel counts for each position. For several installations, label the equipment sets by machine.
A preserved configuration file helps link each gateway or expansion module to its intended role in the system.
Display component or complete panel
If the image remains visible but touch input fails, identify the touch component and describe the connection condition. If the screen is dark, report the power indicators and behaviour after switching on. Photographs and a fault description provide the starting point for a repair enquiry.
A display needs its own code, dimensions and connection details. A touch surface needs its active area, connection position and contact arrangement. Have the plant specialist handle electrical inspection and dismantling.
When requesting a complete spare panel, identify who will load the preserved application and verify operation on the machine after installation.
Prepare an equipment enquiry
State Cermate, the complete model or component code, quantity and delivery destination. Attach the label, installation photographs and the required position from the drawing. For an internal component, include its own marking and dimensions.
A table is useful when several different items are required.
Describe the material already available for the project: application files, cables, fixing details and the responsible engineer. Select the relevant equipment or parts card and add your specific requirement to the form.
Identify whether the enquiry concerns a new system, an installed machine or a reserve panel, so the requested set can be defined correctly.
Equipment scope and acceptance
Define the order as a list of devices, fasteners, terminals, cables, expansions and software requirements. Give each line a full code and quantity, and identify the existing items that will be retained.
Separate hardware supply from application migration and machine commissioning in the project scope.
At receipt, compare the markings against the agreed list and retain photographs. For commissioning, define checks for power, application start, screen access, communication and the selected interfaces.
A panel is checked with its program and controller; an expansion module is checked in its assigned position. Use labelled sets when the order serves several machines.
Availability, price, lead time, licences and documents are established for the specific enquiry. Official dealership and compatibility require confirmation of the complete version; equipment, software work and accessories are agreed as separate items.
