ETK and XETK ECU interfaces, ES4xx, ES6xx, ES8xx and ES9xx measurement modules, USB bus interfaces and INCA software. We select by module designation and measurement task.
Compact interfaces fit inside the ECU housing and give direct access to the measured variables and control parameters of the ECU. Data is exchanged over Ethernet, and ready versions exist for common microcontrollers.
The M-ETK is a compact one-box device for measurement, calibration and reprogramming of ECU software. No separate evaluation device is needed, which frees space in the vehicle.
ES4xx modules are mounted next to the sensors under the hood and are linked to each other by Ethernet cable in a daisy chain. A single cable runs to the PC, so a measurement set-up in a vehicle or on a test bench is quick to build.
The modules measure temperature with thermocouples on eight isolated channels. The ES420 detects the thermocouple type and open wires by itself, and the ES421 is an economical version for type K thermocouples.
The lambda modules work with Bosch broadband oxygen sensors and are built for exhaust system conditions. The ES441 measures frequency, pulse counts and duty cycle on four isolated inputs.
The ES523 connects four CAN channels and three Ethernet ports to the PC and is used for calibration, diagnostics and flash programming of ECUs. The ES570.1 is built for gigabit Automotive Ethernet and traffic monitoring.
Compact modules connect a PC or laptop over USB to CAN FD, FlexRay and LIN buses and are powered by the computer. With INCA they serve for measurement, calibration, diagnostics and reprogramming of ECUs.
Universal modules in a rugged metal housing connect the PC to ETK and XETK interfaces and to CAN, LIN and FlexRay buses. The PC link is 100 Mbit/s Ethernet, and measurements are synchronized with 1 µs accuracy.
Up to six modules connect to an ES600 network module, and a seventh ES600 joins up to six such clusters. This builds a distributed measurement system for in-vehicle use that is configured from INCA.
The ES820 records signals from ECUs, buses, networks and sensors in the vehicle, on the test bench and in the laboratory. The ES830 is a computing platform for rapid prototyping of ECU functions. Both belong to the ES800 system.
ES800 modules connect Automotive Ethernet ECUs and vehicle buses. The ES882 and ES886 work with BR_XETK interfaces, while the ES891 and ES892 work with the fast FETK interfaces.
The ES910 combines computing performance and common ECU interfaces in a compact, rugged housing. It works on the test bench and in the vehicle, and the extensions add FlexRay, CAN and CAN FD.
The ES930 records and outputs signals in prototyping, testing and calibration. The channel count grows by chaining modules over Ethernet, and lambda measurements are added with ES4xx and ES63x modules.
The probes connect to the ES411, ES415 and ES441 modules. The CBN40x measure voltages in the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric vehicles, and the CBN41x measure current without voltage drop.
The smart cable for the Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband sensor is used in heating systems, furnaces and industrial installations. The sensor connects to the original Bosch connector on the cable.
INCA is the working environment for measurement, calibration, diagnostics and validation of ECUs. It configures ETAS modules, records data from buses and control units and works with ECUs from all manufacturers.
Selection needs the task (vehicle, test bench or laboratory), ECU type and microcontroller, buses and the number of measurement channels. From these data we define the ECU interface, the measurement modules and the module that links to the PC. ETK, FETK and XETK interfaces are made for specific NXP, Infineon, Renesas, Texas Instruments and STMicroelectronics microcontrollers.
ES4xx, ES6xx and ES9xx modules are joined over Ethernet in chains and clusters with time synchronization better than a microsecond. The ES523 and ES600 power connected modules over Ethernet, and the ES800 system is stacked without additional cables. Before ordering we check module and INCA versions: for example, CBN4xx probes need ES4xx modules of version 2.0 or higher.
ES4xx measurement modules come in an IP67 housing and operate from -40 to +120 °C; they are tested for shock, vibration, drop, salt fog and impact from flying rocks according to DIN EN 60068 and ISO 16750. The ES592 and ES595 interface modules are rated for -40 to +70 °C and a 7-29 V supply with reverse-voltage and load-dump protection.
Selection is based on ETAS technical data, product descriptions and user guides. For systems already in service we select a replacement module by the marking on the housing and the version, for example ES582.1, ES592.1 or ES910.3. Send a photo of the marking and a description of the set; diagnostics and repair are available on request.
We are neither a distributor nor a representative of ETAS. The manufacturer does not publish a public price list or a list of order numbers: prices, availability and lead times are set when a specific position is quoted. Certificates and delivery terms for specific versions require separate confirmation.
