LIECHTI blade and blisk machining
LIECHTI develops five-axis solutions for turbine blades and blisks. Define the workpiece geometry, material, fixtures and manufacturing route before discussing the machine project.
- Five-axis blade and blisk machining.
- LIECHTI technology family.
- Selection follows the installed configuration.
GF Machining Solutions and the current technology families
GF Machining Solutions remains an identification found on installed machines and their documentation. The manufacturer history connects the former division with UNITED MACHINING SOLUTIONS from July 2025. Keep the actual name shown on the machine plate when sending an enquiry.
Add the technology brand and the complete model designation rather than replacing an older reference with a shortened current name.
A complete equipment project starts with the manufacturing task. A replacement component starts with the installed machine and the identified assembly. Keeping those two enquiry types clear helps define what must be reviewed.
For an existing machine, provide its identification plate, the relevant document revision and photographs that show where the requested item is installed.
Define the workpiece and manufacturing process
Provide a drawing or a description of a representative part, its material, blank dimensions and required operations. State the intended result and the position of the new machine in your production route.
If several parts are relevant, identify the priority part and explain whether the other examples are occasional work or a continuing production requirement.
For milling, describe tool access, fixturing and the need for three-axis or five-axis machining. For wire EDM, describe the contour and conductive material. For die-sinking EDM, explain the cavity and electrode concept. Separate mandatory requirements from preferences.
This gives the equipment discussion a defined technical starting point before individual options are compared.
Agree the equipment configuration
An equipment family name identifies a direction, while a purchasing specification describes the actual system. If a model is already selected, attach its configuration and mark the required options. Describe the intended loading method, fixtures, tooling concept and supporting systems.
Also identify equipment that will remain in use and the interfaces that the new system must work with.
When a project includes additional units, list their scope separately. Define what belongs to the machine package and what the customer provides. Record open questions about connections, installation information and production integration.
Discuss those questions against the same specification revision so that a revised component list does not become confused with an earlier configuration.
Specify the spindle and its interfaces
STEP TEC HVC and HPC are different spindle platform directions. An enquiry for a spindle needs the spindle identification plate as well as the machine model. Provide the complete code, tool interface and available connection information.
A photograph of the machine alone cannot identify every installed spindle variant, particularly when the machine has been modified during its working life.
For a replacement, explain which cooling, lubrication and connection systems are retained, using the information in the machine documentation. If a repair is being considered, describe the observed condition, operating mode and checks already completed. Those observations support technical review.
They do not establish a replacement specification without the spindle identification and the relevant assembly information.
Prepare an EDM equipment enquiry
For CUT wire EDM, state the workpiece material, contour, geometry and expected production use. For FORM die-sinking EDM, attach the cavity information and electrode concept. For DRILL E 300, describe the starter-hole task and the following process.
These details help separate three different equipment enquiries that would otherwise all be described only as electrical discharge machining.
For an installed machine, list the requested guides, contacts, nozzles or assemblies on individual lines. Attach a clear marking photograph and the relevant illustrated-parts page when available. State whether the request concerns one item or a complete assembly.
Keep any previously used alternative clearly identified so it can be reviewed against the actual installed configuration.
Describe laser and airfoil applications
A CHARMILLES LASER S project needs the workpiece material, geometry and a sample or clear definition of the intended surface. Explain the operation being considered and how it connects to the existing manufacturing route.
A complete laser system and a component for an installed system have different enquiry requirements. Identify the enquiry type before preparing the technical attachment list.
For LIECHTI blade or blisk machining, provide the part information, material, fixturing concept and process requirements. Where drawings have several revisions, mark the current revision and identify reference files separately.
A concise explanation of what each attachment shows helps keep the discussion tied to the intended workpiece and avoids comparing configurations for different versions of the same part.
Components for the installed machine
SpareX also considers requests for components of installed equipment. Include the machine model, serial number, item designation and quantity. A full assembly view and a readable marking photograph are useful together.
If the part number is unknown, identify its position in the documentation and explain its function within the machine rather than assigning a code from a similar-looking component.
For maintenance lists, keep consumables and complete units separate. Give each line a reference to its photograph or document page. Record the codes on packaging and on the fitted item separately if they differ.
This makes the request suitable for a position-by-position review while unresolved identification questions can be discussed without losing the already defined parts of the enquiry.
Prepare the project for commercial review
Send the agreed equipment specification, the scope of auxiliary units and the available technical documents together. Identify the delivery destination and the intended receiving arrangements. Packing, export documentation and shipment requirements are discussed for the actual project.
Keep the technical configuration attached to the commercial enquiry so the requested machine and supporting items can be checked as one defined package.
Review the proposed item list against the original request before placing an order. Mark configuration questions and identify any changes in quantity or scope in a revised file. The enquiry form accepts a description of the production task and supporting attachments.
Use it to send the available information, including the contact responsible for clarifying technical requirements and agreeing the final scope.
