Founded in 1972, German manufacturer BIKON-Technik GmbH is a global technology leader in friction-based shaft-to-hub locking connections. We provide direct deliveries of complete BIKON and DOBIKON product lines for mechanical engineering, heavy gearboxes, bulk material handling, and rotating industrial machinery.
Standard single-cone locking assemblies BIKON 1003 and 1006 provide backlash-free transmission of high torque and axial forces on smooth shafts. Series 1006 features an integral locating collar preventing axial hub migration during screw tightening.
The DOBIKON 1012 double-cone system consists of two inner cone rings and a solid outer sleeve. The symmetrical double-cone geometry distributes contact pressure evenly and prevents hub tilting under severe dynamic alternating loads.
Heavy-duty double-cone locking assemblies DOBIKON 1013, 1015.0 and 1015.1 are engineered for extreme torque transmission in rolling mills, crushers and grinding mills. Extended contact lengths prevent peak stress concentrations.
BIKON 2006 and 2066 are compact locking units featuring slotted conical rings, delivering high torque ratings within slim radial profiles. They are ideal for narrow hubs with constrained outer dimensions.
BIKON 4000 and 4500 locking sets feature integrated self-centering geometry and high radial rigidity. The integral stop collar eliminates angular runout and radial misalignment during screw torque application.
BIKON 7000A, 7000B and 7030 series are designed for thin-walled hubs and constrained radial spaces. They generate controlled radial hub pressure Pn, preventing deformation and cracking in sensitive hub materials.
BIKON 8000 and 9500 represent the highest torque-density class among keyless locking units. Precision ground conical surfaces and high-grade alloy steels ensure absolute reliability in turbo-compressors and heavy industrial fans.
BIKON 3000, 3002 and 3003 external shrink discs mount onto the outside diameter of hollow shafts. Tightening the clamping screws compresses the hollow shaft onto the solid drive shaft, sealing the interface against corrosion.
Three-part shrink discs BIKON 3006, 3012 and 3015 feature two outer taper pressure thrust rings and a double-taper inner ring. Symmetrical contraction provides balanced clamping across wind turbines, ball mills and mining excavators.
BIKON 30 (patented 1981) and compact BIKON FK / FK 6006 flange couplings join butt shafts rigidly without backlash. The FK series offers lightweight geometry and clamps directly onto plain shaft ends without keyways.
BIKON 1007, 1011 and 1016 shaft couplings connect two collinear shaft ends via high-strength friction clamping. They eliminate keyways, transmitting continuous and peak reversing torques without wear.
BIKON 1025 Spannpassbolzen (patented 1986) provide zero-backlash torque transmission across flanged joints. Radial sleeve expansion during axial tightening fills hole clearances completely, distributing shear loads evenly.
For corrosive process environments, BIKON supplies stainless steel (.r, AISI 304/316) and electroless nickel-plated (.v) locking assemblies. These variants retain full dimensional compatibility with standard models.
BIKON engineering has engineered more than 4,900 application-specific locking solutions. We supply full inch-standard dimensional ranges, high-temperature adaptations and custom hub profiles analyzed via finite element method (FEM).
Our technical engineers calculate hub stress levels (Nabenberechnung) against radial contact pressures Pn, verifying required minimum hub wall thickness and sizing BIKON clamping assemblies based on peak torque, axial forces, and shaft tolerances.
We have engineered and sized DOBIKON 1012 double-cone locking assemblies (size 130-180 mm) for heavy-duty industrial roll-arm mechanisms and high-torque machine drives.
All BIKON and DOBIKON components are manufactured at German facilities under strict quality control of cone angles, runout tolerances, and screw tensile properties. Certificates of conformity are included with shipments.
All BIKON products are supplied directly from manufacturing facilities in Germany, accompanied by complete technical documentation, factory certificates of conformity, and installation guidelines with torque specifications.
