EHang Cargo aircraft

Prepare an EHang EH216-L cargo-aircraft or replacement-parts enquiry using the model, assembly identification and cargo requirements.

Equipment and purchasing requirements

Distinguish a new-system enquiry from spare parts for existing equipment. The model, documentation and required contents define the purchasing scope.

EH216-L cargo platform

EH216-L belongs to the EHang cargo range. Define the route and cargo requirement for a configuration enquiry, or start with the existing aircraft identification for a replacement assembly.

  • Maximum payload: 250 kg
  • Published range: 35 km
  • Published endurance: 21 min
  • Maximum speed: 130 km/h

Define the cargo

Describe the actual cargo including its packaging. The mass of an individual item may differ from the complete consignment. Provide dimensions, package count and handling requirements.

  • Cargo mass including packaging
  • Dimensions of each package
  • Packages per planned operation
  • Orientation and handling requirements

Route and receiving sites

EHang describes island, mountain and cross-river logistics scenarios. Your enquiry should instead define the actual endpoints, distance and available site space. An appropriate site sketch can help explain the task.

  • Loading and unloading locations
  • Route distance and profile
  • Available ground-service area
  • Planned number of operations

Loading interfaces and scope

Separate the aircraft from cargo-handling requirements in the enquiry. Attach an existing cargo-equipment specification as a separate document when available. For an installed system, identify the current configuration and the items to be replaced.

  • Existing cargo-equipment configuration
  • Items from customer documentation
  • Number of systems required
  • Accessories listed separately

Cargo-fleet spare stock

For an EH216-L fleet, organise the enquiry by model and serial number. Separate planned spare stock from a specific replacement requirement. List part numbers, quantities per aircraft and total quantities.

  • Aircraft to which the items belong
  • Planned stock or a specific replacement
  • Part numbers from current documentation
  • Quantity for each item

Identify the exact product

Start with the complete EHang designation on the product identification plate. A commercial model name alone may not distinguish revisions in your records. A readable photograph links the enquiry to a particular aircraft or ground unit.

  • Full model including its letter suffix
  • Serial number from the identification plate
  • Production year recorded in your documents
  • Overall product photo and a close-up of its label

Locate the item in documentation

Attach the complete illustrated page when the required item appears in a diagram. A drawing position identifies its location; a part number identifies an orderable item or assembly in the relevant documentation. Keep the document title and revision visible.

  • Part number with all hyphens and leading zeros
  • Position number in the assembly drawing
  • Document title and revision
  • Quantity per aircraft and total requested quantity

Photographs for identification

A few targeted photographs are usually more useful for identification than a large set of distant views. Show the label, overall shape, installation location and accessible interfaces. Use photographs already available from normal maintenance.

  • Label without glare or obstructing objects
  • Overall view and installation location
  • Accessible mounts and connector faces
  • File names identifying model, assembly and side

Electrical configuration

For an electrical unit, provide the information printed on that unit rather than relying only on the aircraft name. Similar enclosures do not establish an electrical match. The original connection diagram and the names of connected equipment help define the enquiry.

  • Unit designation and label revision
  • Rated values exactly as marked
  • Photographs of accessible electrical interfaces
  • Diagram from the documentation for your equipment

Battery assembly enquiry

Treat a battery enquiry as a request for a specifically identified assembly. State whether the scope is a complete battery, a documented accessory or a charger. Record the label and the equipment with which it is used.

  • Battery assembly model
  • Label of the existing charging equipment
  • Scope listed in the current specification
  • Number of assemblies and delivery destination

Mechanical parts and assemblies

Clarify which level of a mechanical assembly you need. An individual fastener, a housing and a complete installed unit should be separate enquiry lines. If a drawing is available, retain its number and revision.

  • Assembly name and installation location
  • Drawing number or illustrated position
  • Left or right side where documented
  • Individual item or complete kit required

Ground equipment

Separate the aircraft from ground equipment in the enquiry. Charging, control and service equipment should have their own model and identification details. For a new project, list the equipment you already own.

  • Ground unit model
  • Equipment that connects to it
  • Contents of the existing system
  • New installation or replacement of an existing unit

Software version and scope

For control equipment, include a screenshot showing the product name and the version of the installed software. A licence, a physical device and a configuration service are different purchasing items. List them separately and identify which ones are actually required.

  • Installed software name and version
  • Device on which it is used
  • Hardware, licence or both requested
  • Supply scope from the existing equipment list

Describe the service requirement

A symptom description helps define an enquiry when the part number is unknown. Identify the assembly named in your documentation and the normal operating stage at which the issue was observed. Attach an existing maintenance report when available.

  • Assembly name from the documentation
  • Short description of the observed symptom
  • Message code without credentials or private access data
  • Available report from the maintenance provider

Replacement or expansion

State whether the purchase is intended to restore an existing system, replenish spare stock or expand a fleet. Each requires a different comparison. An installed item is the reference for replacement, while a new project starts with the required function and a technical brief.

  • Replacement, spare stock or a new project
  • Exact item in the existing configuration
  • Functions that must be retained
  • Alternatives specifically requested by the customer

A multi-line enquiry

Use one row per item for a list of spare parts. Repeat the aircraft or ground-equipment model on each row when the fleet contains different configurations. Link photographs and catalogue pages to the relevant row number.

  • Line number, description and part number
  • Equipment model and quantity
  • Reference to an attached file or page
  • Purchasing priority for that item

Requested supply documentation

List the documents your organisation requires to review a proposal and perform incoming inspection. Distinguish product identification from requirements concerning origin, completeness and operation.

  • List of requested accompanying documents
  • Incoming inspection requirements
  • Required documentation language
  • Reference to the relevant purchasing specification clause

Check the assembly scope

The word kit does not define what is included. For each assembly, list the accessories required by your documentation and identify the existing items that you intend to retain. When reviewing a proposal, compare both the part number and the contents of each line.

  • Main item and separate accessories
  • Quantity of each element in the kit
  • Items retained by the customer
  • Requested packing and contents list

Packing and delivery destination

Provide the delivery destination and any receiving constraints in the initial enquiry. For larger equipment, access, unloading and storage arrangements can affect planning. Separate packing requirements for the main equipment from those for sensitive components.

  • Destination city and country
  • Unloading and warehouse access constraints
  • Packing requirements in your specification
  • Single consignment or separately requested shipments

Compare purchasing options

Compare proposals against the same scope. One option may cover an assembled unit while another covers only a component or a basic configuration. Keep the equipment model, accessory list and documentation requirements in the comparison table.

  • Same model and required function
  • Main assembly and accessory contents
  • Quantities and units of measure
  • Documentation and acceptance requirements

Prepare incoming inspection

Identify who will check the delivered equipment and documentation on the customer side. For spare parts, prepare a list of identifiers and quantities from the agreed specification. For a complete system, include separate devices and accessories.

  • Person responsible for checking delivery scope
  • Identifiers from the agreed specification
  • Packages and contents listed in the documents
  • Procedure for recording discrepancies on receipt

Prepare the specification

Use one line per item: model, part number, quantity and attachment reference. For a project, describe the task and list equipment already available.

Enquiry conditions

Availability, price, lead time, scope and documentation are determined for the specific enquiry. Dealer status, authenticity and compatibility are not assumed. Operational approvals require assessment by the responsible specialists for the particular project.

Send your EHang enquiry

Attach a specification or label photograph, state quantity and destination, and leave a contact for equipment and supply-scope clarification.
