CUSTOM METAL STAMPING & TOOLING

Gaogang custom metal stamping and stamping dies

We arrange custom stamped metal parts and cold-stamping dies at the Gaogang factory in Zhongshan: quoted from a drawing, a 3D model, or a sample part, including a discontinued one.

What Gaogang stamps and draws

Eight part groups the factory regularly works with, from motor housings to stamped hardware. Attach a drawing, sketch, or photos of a sample part so we can price the die construction, its cost, and lead time accurately.

Motor parts

Motor housings and end caps, rotor and stator laminations, fan blades, and mounting brackets — made by cold stamping and deep drawing of aluminium and steel from a drawing or a sample part. Rotor and stator laminations are usually run on progressive or high-speed dies for batches in the thousands.

Battery cases

Stamped and deep-drawn metal enclosures for electric-vehicle traction batteries: rectangular and cylindrical profiles made from sheet metal, with geometry checked across the batch. Dimensional accuracy matters for a sealed fit between case and lid without hand-fitting.

Extreme-precision parts

Small stamped parts for connectors and electronic assemblies: spring contacts, mounting plates, relay housings — with tolerances checked on 2D and 3D projectors and micrometers. Fine blanking is typically used for these parts, giving a clean, burr-free edge.

Deep drawing

Cylindrical and stepped parts made by deep drawing: cups, bushings, sleeves, and enclosures in steel, brass, and aluminium, formed over several stages without weld seams. The number of draw stages and any intermediate annealing depend on the part's depth and wall thickness.

Automotive parts

Seat rails and seat frame structures, seat-adjustment gears, door hinges and links, brake backing plates — stamped automotive parts finished with further machining as needed. Geometrically complex parts are usually run on transfer dies.

Water heater parts

Heating-element shells and mounting brackets, housings and protective covers for domestic water heaters — stamped and bent parts in galvanised and stainless steel. Covers often need edge-flanging blanking done in a single stroke.

Oven parts

Oven cavities, door frames, control panels, and hob surfaces with burner seats — stamped and formed parts for built-in kitchen appliances. Burner-seat openings and vent holes are punched in separate stations of the same die.

Other stamped hardware

Hinges, brackets, washers, covers, and other stamped metal hardware made to order — one-off batches and series production from your drawing or sample. Trial batches typically use simplified tooling before a full-life die is cut for series.

What we need to quote a die

A drawing, 3D model, or dimensioned sample part; metal grade and thickness; tolerance class; trial and serial batch size; for a replacement part, the discontinued part itself or a fragment of it.

Making a part from a sample

No drawing on hand? A sample part, a fragment of it, or photos with a ruler for scale are enough. The factory designs the die from the sample and produces a trial batch for approval before series production.

Who Zhongshan Gaogang Precision Technology is

, Ltd (中山市高钢精密技术有限公司, trademark “高钢科技”) is part of Guanglong Group and operates on its industrial site in Tanzhou Town, Zhongshan, on the western shore of the Greater Bay Area near Zhuhai.

Its core team has focused for over three decades on the R&D, manufacturing, and sale of hardware safety stamping dies — this is a tooling and stamped-parts factory, not a finished-equipment brand.

Die types and preferred processes

The factory builds single-punch, progressive, transfer, and high-speed stamping dies, and lists deep drawing, curling, hang-punching, rotary cutting, side-punching, and fine blanking among its preferred processes.

Progressive and high-speed dies suit large batches of simple parts, while transfer dies handle geometrically complex, multi-station parts.

Industries and representative parts

The brochure lists motors, computers, TVs, refrigerators, ovens, air conditioners, cars, washing machines, and microwave ovens as its specialist industries.

Representative products include motor housings, battery cases, kitchen and bathroom appliance parts, car seats and doors, suspension structural parts, and fan wheel components.

Shop floor equipment

Production centers on an automatic line built around a 200-ton dual-axis gantry press with a three-in-one feeder.

Tooling is cut on 11 fast, 6 medium, and 4 slow wire-EDM machines plus one sinker-EDM machine, with finishing done on milling, grinding, and CNC lathe machines and CNC machining centers with 2400, 1500, and 110 mm travel.

Quality control

The factory's headcount includes 7 designers, 20 die-assembly fitters, 6 die-setting technicians, 18 process operators, and 2 QC staff — about 65 people in production and inspection.

Measurement equipment includes a Hexagon coordinate projector, a Wanhao 2D projector, Shanghai Hengliang micrometers, a Chuangyi pneumatic bore gauge, a Mitutoyo height gauge, and five sets of Mitutoyo precision calipers.

How a quotation works

A quotation starts with a drawing, 3D model, or sample part: from these the factory sizes the die — single-punch, progressive, transfer, or high-speed, depending on part complexity and batch size — and prices the tooling and the per-unit cost.

Once agreed, the factory produces a trial batch for approval before series production starts.

For a replacement part with no drawing on hand, the discontinued part itself, a fragment of it, or detailed photos with a ruler for scale are enough for the designer to reconstruct the geometry and design the die from scratch.

Metals the factory works with

By catalogue category, the factory names steel, aluminium, and brass as its main materials: aluminium and steel for motor housings and end caps, steel, brass, and aluminium for deep-drawn parts, galvanised and stainless steel for water-heater and oven parts, and sheet metal for battery cases.

The customer specifies the exact grade and sheet thickness for a quotation — by drawing, specification, or sample part — otherwise the factory cannot price the die accurately.

Factory location and logistics

The factory is located in Tanzhou Town, Zhongshan, on the western shore of the Pearl River Delta, in the same industrial park as Guanglong Group's headquarters, near Zhuhai.

By the company's own description, the area has convenient transport links — nearby are the Pearl River Delta ports used by Guangdong exporters.

We arrange delivery of finished parts by freight carrier to the customer's warehouse in Russia or the EAEU; the exact route and lead time depend on batch volume and whether the shipment is bare stamped parts or an assembled unit.

Guanglong Group and more complex orders

The factory is part of Guanglong Group alongside assembly, painting, and appliance-manufacturing companies in Zhongshan, Foshan, and two cities in Vietnam, plus a trading company in Hong Kong.

For orders that need more than stamping — subsequent assembly or painting of the part — this kind of cooperation within the group can be discussed separately; it is not a standing service but a case-by-case project decision with its own cost and lead time.

Inspection before series production

Once a trial batch is made, parts are checked on a Hexagon coordinate projector or a Wanhao 2D projector, depending on whether the part is three-dimensional or a flat stamping.

Linear dimensions are verified with Shanghai Hengliang micrometers and Mitutoyo calipers, and bore diameters with a Chuangyi pneumatic gauge. Only after the customer approves the trial batch does the factory move to series production on the same die.

Staff and how tasks are split on the shop floor

Of the headcount working in production and inspection, a third — 20 people — are die-assembly fitters, and another 18 are process operators across different stations.

Separately, 7 designers prepare the die design for a specific drawing, and 6 die-setting technicians bring the die to a stable series-production rhythm on the press. 2 QC staff handle acceptance of finished parts, and 6 after-sales staff handle communication with domestic and overseas customers.
