Select Bently Nevada monitoring, machinery protection and sensors around the machine, measurement points and project requirements.
Sensors, systems and diagnostic instruments
Choose the measurement objective and equipment family. For a new system, attach the machine and measurement-point list. For a replacement, provide the installed component marking.
3300 XL proximity transducer systems
Proximity transducers measure shaft vibration and position on fluid-film bearing machines. A replacement enquiry should identify the probe, extension cable and Proximitor sensor together. State the measurement function and provide the complete installed designation.
The product range includes 3300 XL and 3300 XL NSv families.
Acceleration and velocity sensors
Acceleration and velocity sensors support machine condition measurements at bearing housings and other monitoring points. Identify the required signal, mounting arrangement and connected input.
The range includes 330400 and 330425 accelerometers, the high-temperature 330450, the 330500 velocity sensor and 330750/330752 systems.
3500 machinery protection systems
The rack-based 3500 system provides machinery protection using modules selected for the required measurements. For an installed rack, supply the monitor and I/O board designations, power supply information and cabinet documentation.
State whether the enquiry concerns replacement modules, maintenance stock or additional measurement channels.
Orbit 60 machinery monitoring and protection
Orbit 60 is a machinery monitoring and protection system for critical assets. Define whether the project is a new installation or modernization of existing protection. Provide the machine list, measurement points and intended architecture, including devices that will remain installed.
Specify the required equipment scope separately from commissioning activities.
Distributed protection and ADAPT
Distributed protection systems and ADAPT address dedicated monitoring and protective functions. Start with the function: vibration monitoring, speed monitoring or an emergency shutdown application. Include the existing arrangement and complete equipment labels.
Protection requirements and measurement requirements should be stated separately in the technical brief.
Orbit DCM and Trendmaster monitoring
Orbit DCM and Trendmaster support online machine condition monitoring. List the machines, measured variables and existing data collection arrangements. Identify the intended use of the information and where it should be available.
For replacement hardware, include the designation of the installed device and its connections.
SCOUT200 and ADRE portable diagnostics
SCOUT200 portable analyzers and ADRE diagnostic systems support machinery measurements and investigation. Specify route-based monitoring, commissioning measurements or a focused machine survey.
List the instrument, sensors, cables and accessories separately, and identify the software environment used by the maintenance or diagnostic team.
Cables, housings and mounting accessories
Accessories include sensor cables, housings, mounting items and test kits. Provide both cable connector details and the required length. For a housing or mounting component, attach the installation drawing and sensor designation.
Separate accessories already available on site from items required to complete the measurement kit.
System selection inputs
Provide the machine type and model, measured variables, measurement points, required protective functions, existing systems and project specification. State what will remain installed during modernization.
Components for an installed system
Provide the full designation, quantity, connected equipment labels and connection drawing. For a cabinet, identify the monitor, I/O board and power supply separately.
Bently Nevada within the Cordant portfolio
Bently Nevada is the Baker Hughes business for industrial machinery condition monitoring and protection. The current manufacturer portfolio presents this equipment as Cordant Devices, built on Bently Nevada technologies.
Keep the name and complete designation printed on each installed product when preparing an enquiry. A broader project reference to Cordant does not replace the sensor or module part number. Attach a label photograph and the relevant equipment record when different documents use different names.
Define the machine and measurement objective
Start a new project with the machine type, model, duty and available instrumentation. Identify whether you need diagnostic data, an operator warning or a protective function. List the measurement points and state what should happen with the resulting information.
This provides a practical basis for discussing equipment architecture. A list of sensor quantities alone does not explain the monitoring requirement or the intended relationship between measurements and machine protection.
Specify a complete proximity measurement chain
Record the complete designations of the probe, extension cable and Proximitor sensor. Photograph their labels and connections, and retain the original equipment documentation. Describe the function of each point: shaft vibration, axial position, rotational speed or phase reference.
Where several similar chains are installed, assign each one a clear machine and measurement-point reference. This makes it possible to discuss an individual replacement without losing the relationship to the existing installation.
Prepare an existing 3500 rack enquiry
Supply an overall cabinet photograph together with close views of the requested monitor and its I/O board. List each item separately, including quantity and complete designation. Add the cabinet specification or relevant connection drawing.
For expansion, identify the additional sensors and the purpose of new channels. For maintenance stock, identify the installed equipment population. Preserve hardware version information whenever it is recorded in the equipment documentation or on the product marking.
Separate monitoring from protection requirements
State which channels provide diagnostic information and which participate in a protective function. Include the applicable project requirements, existing architecture and intended interfaces.
For an operating installation, preserve the current drawings and the designations of components to be replaced. Setpoints, shutdown logic and return-to-service procedures belong to the operating organization’s project and maintenance process.
The purchasing enquiry should clearly define the required hardware and documentation rather than imply a change to that process.
Cables and mechanical installation
Photograph both ends of each requested cable, including any intermediate adapters and protective fittings. State the length, label and routing conditions. For mounting hardware, provide the sensor model, installation drawing and photographs of the actual location.
Identify housings, brackets and fasteners as separate items where they are included in the purchase. When ordering for several machines, relate each photograph to a numbered enquiry line so similar-looking items can be distinguished.
Portable diagnostic equipment
Specify the instrument already used and the intended workflow: periodic routes, commissioning measurements or a focused machinery investigation. Separate the instrument from sensors, cables and other accessories.
For a replacement kit, attach the previous equipment list and mark missing or damaged items. Include the software environment and required reporting arrangement.
For an additional kit, state which components need to work alongside the existing equipment and which items form a separate measurement setup.
Modernization and data integration
Describe what will remain installed and what the project intends to replace. Include the current monitoring software, data collection arrangement and intended destination for machine information. The manufacturer connects Bently Nevada technologies with System 1 and broader Cordant applications.
If software is part of the enquiry, list that requirement separately from hardware. Define whether it concerns a new workstation, expansion or retention of an existing environment, with the project requirements attached.
Maintenance stock and receipt checks
For planned stock, provide an installed equipment list rather than a general count of sensors. Record quantities against each complete designation. For a failed component, describe the symptom and identify its place in the system.
On receipt, compare markings and contents against the agreed item list and retain the accompanying documents. Keep those records with the equipment history so later enquiries can refer to the actual supplied component and any subsequent configuration changes.
Scope confirmation
Stock, price, delivery time, official distributor status, certificates and compatibility with a particular installation are not stated in advance. The exact version, equipment scope, commercial terms and document package are confirmed for the specific enquiry.
Send the project requirement
Attach the equipment list, drawing or label photographs. Include a reply contact and delivery destination so the scope can be defined for your enquiry.
