POWER GENERATION AND ELECTRIFICATION

GE Vernova energy equipment

Select GE Vernova power generation and electrical equipment from your technical brief. For installed machines, send the model, component identification and required quantity.

GE Vernova equipment families

Choose the technology and describe the project. New installations need system requirements; replacement components need the installed machine identification.

Gas turbines: 9HA, 9F and 9E

Heavy-duty gas turbines include the 9HA, 9F and 9E families. Start an equipment enquiry with the electrical system frequency, operating duty and required plant arrangement. For an existing unit, identify its full designation and serial number before comparing parts or upgrade options.

LM2500 and LM6000 aeroderivative turbines

LM2500 and LM6000 belong to the aeroderivative gas turbine range. Distinguish the turbine itself from the packaged generating installation and its auxiliaries. State whether the project concerns a complete generating package, a replacement component or an existing installation upgrade.

Steam turbines and assemblies

GE Vernova supplies steam turbine technology for power generation. Define the steam conditions and the intended power cycle when requesting equipment. A parts enquiry should identify the installed machine, assembly drawing and required item, rather than relying on the plant name alone.

Generators and excitation systems

Generators convert shaft power into electrical output, while excitation equipment forms a separate part of the electrical system. Identify both the generator and its control cabinet for replacement work.

For a new installation, provide electrical ratings and the mechanical interface to the prime mover.

Mark VIe turbine controls

Mark VIe is a modular control platform supporting digital, analogue and specialised inputs and outputs. Record the full module code, hardware revision and installed configuration. Separate a like-for-like hardware request from a project that changes the controller, software or system architecture.

Protection, control and metering

Protection, Control & Metering covers generator, transformer, motor and line applications. Specify the protected asset and its electrical arrangement before choosing a device.

For a replacement, include the complete order code, auxiliary supply, installed communications and relevant connection drawings.

Transformers and substation equipment

The Electrification portfolio includes transformer equipment for different power system applications. Distinguish a complete transformer from auxiliary equipment and individual replacement parts.

Supply the installation requirements for a new unit, or the original nameplate and component identification for maintenance.

Wind and hydropower equipment

GE Vernova has wind power and hydropower businesses. Identify the technology and installed machine before requesting components.

A wind turbine enquiry needs its model and assembly identification; a hydropower enquiry should describe the generating unit and the component shown in the plant documentation.

Equipment selection inputs

Describe the operating objective, duty, electrical parameters and installation conditions. Include fuel or steam data for turbine projects and the connection diagram for electrical equipment. List the required auxiliary systems separately.

Components for existing equipment

Provide the full model, serial number, component code and quantity. Attach a readable marking photograph and the relevant drawing. For an assembly, list the items that must be included.

Define the project boundary

Start with the operating objective: on-site generation, replacement of an existing unit, additional capacity or a new electrical connection. Describe the duty profile and available energy sources.

Distinguish the main machine from the complete plant package so that the proposed scope can be compared against the actual project. Identify existing equipment that will remain in service and the interfaces that must be retained.

Add drawings of the installation and indicate which organisation is responsible for each part of the project.

Gas turbine enquiry

Provide the required electrical output, system frequency, fuel information and intended operating pattern. Explain whether the installation will operate independently or as part of a wider power system. Include site conditions and the proposed plant arrangement.

If the enquiry concerns an existing unit, attach the full nameplate and current equipment list. Record previous modifications alongside the original machine identification. A request for the turbine alone should be separated from requirements for auxiliaries, electrical equipment and site works.

Steam turbine and generator package

Describe the available steam conditions and the relationship between electricity production and the industrial process. Include the generator requirements and the intended connection to the plant electrical system. For replacement equipment, supply the existing foundation and interface drawings.

Separate the main package from excitation, controls and auxiliary systems in the requested scope. State which documents are available from the original installation and which deliverables your engineering team needs for the next project stage. This makes different configurations easier to compare.

Control system configuration

For Mark VIe hardware, supply the complete component code and hardware revision, together with the cabinet and rack position. Include the installed controller and input-output arrangement.

Identify whether you need spare hardware, a replacement for a failed component or a wider modernisation project. Keep software configuration, engineering work and commissioning requirements as separate items.

For cables or terminal assemblies, provide both connection references and the original drawing. A photograph of the front panel should be supplemented by a readable image of the identification label.

Protection and electrical interfaces

Identify the protected asset and attach the relevant single-line and connection drawings. Describe the required protection functions, auxiliary supply and communications arrangement. When replacing an installed device, include its full order code and the configuration currently used at the site.

List accessories and mounting items separately from the protection device itself. Your electrical engineer can then compare the proposed hardware against the project requirements. Preserve the distinction between procurement of a device and the engineering work needed to set, test and integrate it.

Transformer and substation requirements

For a complete transformer, provide the electrical ratings, winding arrangement, installation environment and interface requirements. For maintenance, attach the transformer nameplate and identify the particular component on the relevant drawing.

Cooling, monitoring and connection equipment should appear as separate enquiry lines. Where a substation has several similar units, associate every requested item with its equipment tag. State which mounting and connection conditions must remain unchanged.

This helps distinguish a replacement component from a design change requiring additional engineering review.

Wind and hydropower enquiries

For a wind installation, start with the turbine model, machine identifier and assembly to which the requested component belongs. For hydropower, identify the generating unit and attach the drawing reference for the component.

Record the quantity for each machine rather than combining different configurations into one line. Include the current equipment list if the installation has been modified.

For a new project, describe the site and expected operating role, then separate the main equipment from controls, auxiliaries and technical documentation.

Prepare a usable parts list

Use one row per item: equipment tag, model, serial number, component code, description, quantity and unit of measure. Name photographs and drawing extracts with the matching row reference. Keep routine maintenance items, urgent replacements and warehouse spares in separate groups.

If an assembly must be supplied as a set, list its required contents. When a part code is unreadable, provide photographs from several angles and the assembly drawing. Remove personal and unrelated commercial information from documents before attaching them to the enquiry.

Compare equipment offers by scope

Define the required delivery destination and project milestone together with the technical requirement. Separate the main equipment, auxiliary items, documentation, installation and commissioning responsibilities. A clear scope helps your team compare proposals on the same basis.

Record which existing components are intended to remain, which must be replaced and which require further engineering input. For a repeat order, attach the technical portion of the previous supply record and identify any changes in quantity or configuration.

Keep your project reference consistent throughout the correspondence.

Availability and confirmation

Stock, price, lead time, condition, origin, configuration and compatibility are confirmed only for the agreed item. We do not claim official GE Vernova dealer status. Required certificates, supporting documents and supply feasibility are reviewed with the enquiry.

Send your technical requirement

Attach the equipment or parts list, delivery destination and preferred reply contact. Define the equipment, accessories and documents needed for your project.
