Product families
Choose the product direction by the task, then identify the family and exact execution. A family name starts the search, but quotation requires the actual installation data. The sections below separate principal ranges, service components and inquiry details. For several machines, list them separately with the quantity of each item. Keep a complete unit request distinct from maintenance consumables or an individual replacement component.
ALFA 10N and 10NF
The wafer range includes ALFA 10N and 10NF. For ALFA 10NF, the product information lists DN 15–200 and PN 10–40 or ANSI 150 variants, with a standard temperature range of −40 to +200 °C. The allowable pressure and temperature combination depends on the actual materials and execution.
Provide media, body marking, seat material and connection drawing.
ALFA 68 flanged valves
ALFA 68 is a split-body, full-bore floating ball valve family. Published sizes span DN 15–200 and the family includes PN 10–40, with the actual rating checked for each size. EN 1092-1 flanges, F4 or F5 face-to-face versions and ISO 5211 actuator mounting are relevant selection details.
Supply the existing length, flange drilling and required operating conditions.
ALFA 64, 60 and 606
These flanged families separate pressure classes: ALFA 64 is ANSI 150, ALFA 60 ANSI 300 and ALFA 606 ANSI 600. The ALFA 606 page lists DN 15–100 and RF facing to ASME B16.5. A family designation alone is insufficient for a replacement.
Include body and seat materials, end connections, face-to-face length and the full marking from the installed valve.
Reduced-bore ALFA 54 and 50
ALFA 54 uses ANSI 150 and ALFA 50 ANSI 300 ratings. The published size ranges are DN 50×40–250×150 for ALFA 54 and DN 50×40–200×150 for ALFA 50. Retain both numbers in the inquiry: pipe size and internal passage are different.
Compare the exact valve arrangement, operating media and required flow conditions before selecting a version.
ALFA 20T and 22EV
The two-piece screwed-body direction includes ALFA 20T and ALFA 22EV. The ALFA 22EV page identifies DN 6–40, ANSI 2500 / 6000 PSI and NPT or socket-weld connections. Do not determine a thread from the outside diameter alone.
Send the end-connection drawing, full marking and process conditions; material and sealing selection must follow the actual application.
Trunnion-mounted valves
The T2 FB range uses a trunnion-mounted ball and full bore. Its product page lists ANSI 150–600 and DN 50–100. Confirm the complete execution, body material and ends for a new valve. For service parts, add serial information and the item number from the assembly drawing.
Similar nominal size does not make parts interchangeable between floating and trunnion designs.
ATV pneumatic actuators
ATV actuators provide 90-degree movement with adjustable end positions. Double-acting and spring-return arrangements are offered, and the documentation specifies a 2–10 bar supply range. Select the actuator with the valve torque requirement and available air pressure, not flange size alone.
State the required fail position, mounting interface and any position feedback or control accessories.
Seats and sealing sets
A service set starts with the valve model, serial number, DN and drawing position. Identify whether the request includes seats, stem seals, body gaskets or several groups.
Material codes from the original specification are valuable because identical dimensions do not establish suitability for the medium. The quotation should define the included components and their documented application before ordering.
Lined valve applications
The manufacturer publishes a dedicated lined-valve catalog, including the ALFA 70 direction. For a corrosive process, specify the chemical medium, concentration, temperature and pressure as a combination. Include cleaning conditions and any solids in the flow.
The lining and sealing arrangement must be checked against the particular duty rather than selected from the brand name alone.
Transport and special executions
The transportation section lists ALFA 10NF, 11NF, 10aVAG and 68, including application-specific arrangements. Specify the actual vehicle or installation, media and mounting constraints. Jacketed or other special executions must be named explicitly in the inquiry.
A standard industrial valve should not be assumed to have the same connections, envelope or documents as the existing transport assembly.
Food-process valve selection
The ALFA 10CALL product page is a starting point for the corresponding food-process application. The inquiry should identify the product medium, cleaning procedure, temperature cycles and required connection standard.
If documents for product-contact materials are required, state them before quotation. The application name alone does not establish that every execution satisfies the documentation required by a specific production line.
Valve and actuator package
For an assembled package, list the valve, actuator, mounting kit and control accessories separately. State whether existing brackets, couplings or limit switches will be retained. Include the required operating sequence and available control signals.
This avoids confusing a bare valve quotation with a complete controlled assembly and allows the exact supply scope to be agreed before the order is placed.
Identification for replacement
Photograph the whole valve, its marking, flange faces and actuator plate. Preserve all numbers and suffixes from the original documentation, and add the face-to-face dimension if the pipeline cannot change.
Where the label is unreadable, a marked assembly drawing and several views help narrow the search. Final selection still requires operating media and temperature information.
Piping and actuation
Describe the valve’s role in the piping and provide a drawing of the connections, actuator space and service access. For an automated assembly, identify control signals, air supply and the required position after supply loss.
If the pipe cannot change, retain face-to-face length, flange facing and drilling. State whether mating flanges, fasteners and gaskets remain. List the valve, actuator, mounting parts and instruments separately, identifying a new selection or an exact replacement for each.
This defines the assembly before ordering without assuming that accessories are included in a bare valve.
Start with medium and concentration, pressure and temperature, DN, flange standard, face-to-face length, seat material and actuator requirements. Attach the specification or the existing equipment documentation and identify mandatory characteristics separately from preferences.
If a nameplate and an earlier purchase list differ, provide both rather than combining their codes. For a new installation, describe the process and available utilities; for replacement, state which dimensions and interfaces must remain unchanged.
Indicate normal operation and any distinct starting, peak or cleaning conditions relevant to the equipment. A photograph should show the full label and the connection area, with a separate overall view. Mark the required position on an assembly drawing when several similar components are present.
These inputs allow the requested configuration to be distinguished from neighboring versions before price and supply scope are discussed.
Parts and package scope
For service, retain the complete machine and part designations, drawing position and quantity. Separate mandatory items from optional accessories, and state which installed components will remain in use.
A photograph of an earlier kit label can help, but the package contents must still match the current requirement. When several machines are involved, list their serial numbers and quantities individually instead of assuming one set fits every execution.
Describe any changes made since the original installation. A component quotation, a complete equipment package and diagnosis or repair are different scopes. Identify required documents and packaging before the order, and keep installation or configuration services as separate items.
This makes the final list reviewable and avoids leaving the content of a supposed complete kit undefined.
Send the model or specification
Send the complete designation, quantity and destination, together with photographs and available documentation. Use separate lines for multiple items and preserve every suffix. If an alternative is acceptable, define what may change and what must remain the same. Availability, price, lead time and suitability are determined for the specific inquiry.
