ADA Instruments measuring equipment

CUBE line lasers, COSMO distance meters, rotary and optical levels, and DigiTeo theodolites. Select the instrument and accessories for the required measurement task.

Equipment, assemblies and accessories

Choose a product group below. Each description identifies useful distinctions and the information needed to prepare an equipment or component enquiry.

ADA CUBE line lasers

The basic ADA CUBE projects one horizontal and one vertical line. The manufacturer specifies a 20 m range, three AAA batteries and a 1/4-inch mounting thread for this model. Basic A00341, Home A00342, Professional A00343 and Ultimate A00344 differ in accessory packages.

State the required edition or article number rather than requesting only CUBE. Describe whether the instrument will be used for indoor layout, with a mounting accessory or as a replacement in an existing kit. Package contents should be checked for the particular offer.

CUBE 3-360 and 3-360 GREEN

CUBE 3-360 projects three mutually perpendicular 360-degree planes: one horizontal and two vertical. Red and green versions must be identified separately. The red Basic Edition is listed as A00559 and the green Basic Edition as A00560. Specify beam colour, edition and required mounting accessories.

For a replacement within an existing kit, include the instrument label and photographs of its power and mounting connections. A matching family name does not confirm the same accessory package. List any receiver, support or carrying case needed with the instrument.

COSMO laser distance meters

The COSMO range includes compact instruments and models for longer distances. COSMO Mini 40 is A00490, COSMO 50 A00491, COSMO 70 A00429 and COSMO 100 A00412. The numbers refer to upper measuring distances in metres under the specified conditions.

Describe the actual working distance, target surface and indoor or outdoor use. If replacing an instrument, retain the full model and article number.

Do not select solely by maximum range: the required measurement functions and supplied accessories should also be included in the request for quotation.

ROTARY 400 and 500 instruments

ROTARY 500 HV Servo and HV-G Servo provide an automatically levelled rotating plane. Both are listed with a working diameter up to 500 m when used with a receiver and accuracy of ±0.1 mm/m. The red 500 HV Servo is A00578; the green 500 HV-G Servo is A00579.

Specify the full execution when requesting the instrument, detector or power accessories. Working diameter is not the same as radius. Describe the site and required kit contents so that the enquiry covers the receiver and mounting equipment actually needed.

LASERMARKER 70 and laser receivers

LASERMARKER 70 A00589 is intended for red and green line lasers that support receiver mode. Its listed range is 5–70 m, with ±1 mm and ±3 mm accuracy modes, and power from two AAA batteries. Identify the laser instrument before ordering a receiver.

Line-laser and rotary-laser receivers should not be selected only by colour or appearance. State whether the enquiry includes the receiver bracket or another missing accessory.

If replacing LR-60 or a different existing receiver, provide its full label and the model of the instrument with which it is used.

ADA BASE and Universal Mount

ADA's accessory range includes universal mounts and lifting supports. Universal Mount A00339 has a 1/4-inch thread and mounting options using a magnet, a threaded connection or a screw. ADA BASE provides an adjustable lifting arrangement.

Specify the instrument, desired adjustment and installation surface. If replacing a mount, include photographs of both the instrument connection and the site attachment. A thread size alone does not define the complete support: load, available space and positioning requirements should be checked.

List any adapter separately rather than assuming it is included with every mount.

Tripods, poles and levelling staffs

Choose a tripod against the instrument weight, mounting interface, required height and working conditions. ADA lists tripods and staffs as separate accessory groups. A line laser and a surveying instrument may require different support arrangements.

State minimum and maximum height, platform type and thread. For a staff, specify the application and intended use with the instrument. If an exact replacement is required, include the existing accessory name and a photograph of its upper connection.

Clarify whether the request is for an instrument kit or support equipment only.

DigiTeo electronic theodolites

DigiTeo is ADA's electronic theodolite family. For DigiTeo 2 A00226, the manufacturer lists a 30× telescope, an electronic vertical-circle compensator, a two-sided display and RS232 data transfer. Family designations include DigiTeo 2, 5, 10 and 20.

Specify the exact model and the measurement requirements rather than treating these names as one instrument. For a replacement or accessory enquiry, add the serial number and required power or interface components.

State any documentation or inspection requirements before a particular execution and package are selected.

RUBER-X32 optical levels and BASIS

RUBER-X32 A00121 is an optical level with 32× magnification, a 36 mm objective and a magnetically damped compensator. Its specified minimum focusing distance is 1 m. It is used with a tripod and staff for construction and engineering measurement.

Describe the working distances, required accuracy and normal site conditions when comparing a complete replacement. If the enquiry concerns a BASIS instrument, include its exact model instead of transferring RUBER-X32 specifications to it.

List the tripod, staff and carrying equipment separately to establish the intended package.

COSMO 120 Video and 150 Video

COSMO 120 Video A00502 and COSMO 150 Video A00475 are listed for measuring distances up to 120 and 150 m respectively. The accessory lists include a reflective plate. Specify the actual target distance, surface and working environment.

When requesting a reflective plate or other accessory, identify the distance meter and the required mounting arrangement. For a complete instrument enquiry, state which items must be supplied together.

The maximum distance is conditional on the measurement setup; it should not be read as a promise of identical performance on every surface or in every environment.

Batteries, chargers and power accessories

ADA instruments use different power arrangements, including replaceable cells, battery packs and external supplies. Begin with the instrument model and the markings on the installed power component.

For a battery pack, provide voltage, type, contacts and photographs of the pack and mounting compartment. For a charger, include its label and connector. Do not choose a power accessory from the brand name alone or assume that a physically fitting plug confirms electrical suitability.

State whether the request concerns an original kit component or an alternative that may be evaluated.

Targets, holders and carrying accessories

ADA's accessory catalogue includes magnetic target A00210 and other laser layout accessories. A target, a beam receiver and a distance-meter reflector serve different functions. Identify the instrument and beam colour when requesting a target, and describe the intended support or mounting surface.

For a carrying case, provide the exact instrument and the accessories that must fit inside. If replacing an item lost from a kit, include the edition name or original contents list. This helps distinguish a separately ordered accessory from an item expected within a complete instrument package.

Instrument fault and repair enquiries

A repair enquiry needs the precise model and a description of the fault. Loss of accuracy, a missing beam, damaged mounting and power problems require different checks. State when the problem began and whether the instrument experienced impact, moisture or a power change.

Include its label, an overall photograph and visible damage. If replacement is preferred, describe the required functions and accessories. A photograph cannot establish measurement accuracy, and a fault description does not guarantee that repair is possible.

The inspection scope and subsequent proposal must be agreed for the actual instrument.

Identify the article and kit edition

An article number such as A00559 identifies an instrument package more precisely than a short family name. Look for it on the packaging, manual or previous specification. Photograph the instrument label and the edition printed on the box. For CUBE, add beam colour and the number of projected planes.

List the missing or required accessories individually, together with quantities. If documents disagree, send both descriptions and identify the uncertainty. This allows the quotation to be based on a checked configuration instead of silently treating different editions as the same product.

Manufacturer documentation

Prepare your equipment enquiry

Specify the model, quantity and application. Attach nameplates, connection photographs and drawings for replacement equipment. Preserve every suffix and option code. For a new project, describe the operating environment, available space and interfaces.

List mandatory parameters separately from preferences, and identify any unknown details. Include receiving-date and documentation requirements.

Components and individual replacements

A replacement component must be linked to the equipment in which it will be installed. Send its part number, the main device model and serial number, and its position on a drawing where available. List cables, mounts, sensors and other required accessories separately.

Specify whether you need an individual item or a complete kit. Brand and external dimensions alone do not establish compatibility; electrical, mechanical and software requirements must be checked for the actual execution. Repair and configuration can be defined as separate tasks where required.
