Model 725 shaft encoders
Model 725 is an industrial incremental encoder in the size 25 format, with a 2.5-inch body. The range provides different shafts, flanges, connectors and output circuits, with resolution up to 30,000 CPR. A complete ordering code is needed to identify a particular unit.
Send shaft dimensions, mounting details, supply voltage, resolution and the receiving controller's input specification. If replacing an installed encoder, include photographs of its label and connector. Matching the body diameter alone does not establish electrical or mechanical compatibility.
Model 758: 58 mm encoders
Model 758 uses a 58 mm European-format body and is available with clamping or synchro flange arrangements. The range reaches 30,000 CPR; IP67 sealing is an option rather than a specification to assume for every unit. State the flange, shaft and connection arrangement in the enquiry.
For use in a wet or dusty location, identify the required environmental protection and the original sealing execution. Retain the complete encoder code when ordering a replacement so that resolution and output circuitry are checked together with the mounting dimensions.
58TP Accu-CoderPro and 58TF/HF
58TP Accu-CoderPro is a programmable 58 mm encoder with through-bore or blind hollow-bore arrangements. Its programmable resolution range is 1–65,536 CPR. The 58TF/HF family provides fixed-configuration versions.
Specify whether the required device must be programmable or supplied with a defined fixed configuration. Include the bore size, output requirements, supply and connection. For an existing programmable unit, provide the saved settings as well as its nameplate.
Hardware replacement and transfer of the correct configuration are separate points that must both be addressed.
Model 25T/H hollow-bore encoders
Model 25T/H mounts on the machine shaft and uses a 2.5-inch body. The family offers different bore sizes, resolutions up to 30,000 CPR and sealing options for industrial environments. Measure the shaft and identify whether a through-bore or blind hollow-bore arrangement is required.
Include the anti-rotation mounting, available axial space and connector position. The electrical code remains as important as the bore size. For replacement, photograph the complete installation so that a suitable encoder is not confused with an incompatible mounting or cable arrangement.
Compact Model 15S and 15T/H
The compact 15S and 15T/H families suit installations with limited mounting space. Model 15S is a shaft encoder; 15T/H covers hollow-bore or through-bore arrangements in the 1.5-inch format. Begin with the required mechanical connection and available space.
Then specify resolution, supply, outputs and the cable or connector arrangement. A small body does not make two executions interchangeable. For a replacement, provide the existing order code and a drawing or photograph showing how the encoder is supported and coupled to the mechanism.
Motor feedback encoders
Encoder Products Company lists encoders for motor mounting as a separate product group. It includes Model 260, versions of 755A, the 775/776 series and NEMA mounting arrangements. Identify the motor and the existing feedback device before choosing a family.
Provide the mounting drawing, shaft information, required signals and drive input details. Where the feedback is part of an established control system, retain the original electrical specification.
A mechanically suitable sensor still needs the correct output and timing requirements for the receiving drive or controller.
Tru-Trac linear measurement systems
Tru-Trac combines an encoder with a linear measurement mechanism. TR1 uses a measuring wheel and spring-loaded mounting; TR2 uses rack engagement; TR3 addresses more demanding operating conditions. Choose the measurement method against the moving material and installation.
State the travel speed, required length measurement, surface condition and available mounting area. For a replacement assembly, identify the wheel or rack arrangement and the encoder code separately.
The enquiry should distinguish a complete measuring assembly from an encoder, a wheel or a mechanical mounting component.
Cables, connectors and flexible couplings
EPC lists mating connectors, cable assemblies, M12 cordsets and flexible couplings among its accessories. Match a cable against the encoder connection and pin assignment, not just the connector's shape. Specify length, routing and environmental requirements.
For a coupling, provide both shaft diameters, mounting space and the connected mechanism. If a connector is damaged, photographs of both mating sides are useful.
List complete cable assemblies separately from loose connectors so that the quotation reflects the required scope and does not omit wiring or mechanical components.
Replacement seals and protective covers
For Model 758, the manufacturer lists replacement seal 161264 for IP66 and 161254 for IP67 executions. For 58TP, accessories include Uni-Cover 175996-01 and Cage Style cover 176301-01. These part numbers belong to specific documented applications.
Supply the full encoder code when requesting them, and identify the protection already fitted. Do not infer that installing a different seal automatically changes the complete encoder's certified protection.
For damaged covers, include a photograph of the mounting area and specify whether additional fixing components are needed.
Brackets, sleeves and anti-rotation parts
EPC mounting accessories include brackets, bore reducers and flexible anti-rotation components. For Model 758, listed examples include spring-loaded bracket 176742-02 and support mount 140121. Choose mounting parts against the encoder and machine arrangement.
Supply the installation drawing, shaft dimensions and available movement. For a hollow-bore encoder, identify the existing anti-rotation attachment and any reducer used. A bracket enquiry should specify whether fasteners or additional supports are required.
Part numbers are more reliable than a general description when an exact replacement must fit an existing machine.
Measuring wheels and contact surfaces
EPC offers measuring wheels with polyurethane, aluminium and rubber contact surfaces. The wheel must suit the material being measured and the installation conditions. Describe the surface, travel direction, speed and required measurement behaviour.
For an existing system, supply the wheel dimensions, circumference where known, bore and mounting arrangement. State whether the request concerns a wheel alone or a complete Tru-Trac assembly.
Changes to wheel size or contact behaviour affect the measurement system and should be reviewed with its scaling and mechanics rather than treated as a purely cosmetic substitution.
Signal repeaters, converters and splitters
EPC's Signal Enhancement group includes repeaters, converters and splitters. These address different signal-routing requirements, such as extending transmission, adapting outputs or supplying multiple receiving devices.
Start with the encoder output specification and the input requirements of every receiver. Include supply voltage, cable lengths and the number of channels. Describe the current problem or proposed system arrangement.
Choosing a signal accessory from its name alone can overlook electrical differences; the complete connection scheme is needed before deciding which function and configuration the application actually requires.
Resolution, outputs and ordering codes
The model identifies a family; the ordering code identifies the actual encoder. Resolution in CPR, output circuitry, index signal, channel phase, supply and connection all matter. Record the designation exactly as printed, including separators and suffixes.
State how the receiving controller counts or processes the signal, rather than converting a resolution value by assumption. If several machines use similar encoders, keep each code and quantity separate.
A combined enquiry is possible, but differences between configurations must remain visible so that an apparently similar item is not substituted without review.
Replacing an installed Accu-Coder
Accu-Coder is a product brand of Encoder Products Company. Begin a replacement enquiry with the sensor label and its role in the machine. State whether an exact match is mandatory or whether an alternative may be evaluated.
In the latter case, provide separate mechanical and electrical requirements, including drawings and pin assignments. Include any known configuration settings and the quantity required. We will use these details to clarify the requested scope.
Availability, lead time and the suitability of an alternative are established for the particular enquiry, not inferred from the brand name.
Specify the model, quantity and task the equipment must perform. For replacement, attach a readable nameplate, connection photographs and available drawings. Preserve all suffixes and option codes: these can determine power supply, interface, mounting and package contents.
If an alternative may be considered, list mandatory parameters and restrictions separately. For a new project, describe operating conditions, installation space and interfaces with existing machinery. Include the desired receiving date and documentation requirements.
Mark unknown parameters as unresolved rather than presenting assumptions as an approved specification.
Components and individual replacements
A replacement component must be linked to the equipment in which it will be installed. Send its part number, the main device model and serial number, and its position on a drawing where available. If the part number is unknown, provide an overall photograph and a close view of the markings.
List cables, mounts, sensors and other required accessories separately. Specify whether you need an individual item or a complete kit. Brand and external dimensions alone do not establish compatibility; electrical, mechanical and software requirements must be checked for the actual execution.
Repair and configuration can be defined as separate tasks where required.
