Specify BERNSTEIN monitoring devices, enclosures and suspension systems for your machine. Send the project requirements or the complete installed product designation.
BERNSTEIN equipment families
Select the function and product family. Electrical interfaces, mounting details and package contents follow the documents for the particular version.
Limit switches
BERNSTEIN mechanical position switches detect moving machine parts and end positions. Metal and plastic enclosure versions cover different installation requirements. Record the operating head, mounting arrangement and contact diagram when specifying a replacement.
Inductive, capacitive and magnetic sensors
Inductive sensors detect metallic objects; capacitive sensors detect conductive and nonconductive materials; magnetic sensors respond to a magnetic field. Select the sensing principle first, then identify the particular electrical and mechanical version.
Safety switches and sensors
BERNSTEIN offers mechanical and noncontact devices for monitoring protective doors. Distinguish guard position monitoring from guard locking. Specify the switch, matching actuator and locking requirements as separate items within the intended machine safety concept.
SRM and SRO rope pull switches
The range includes safety rope pull switches and standard control devices. For SRM or SRO enquiries, include the full designation, rope routing and tensioning components. Identify the required function explicitly before selecting a device or its accessories.
Safety relays and controllers
Safety relays and controllers process signals from safety devices within the machine system. Provide the monitored device type, input and output requirements and existing cabinet drawing. Separate hardware replacement from changes to the machine’s control concept.
CA, CT and CP enclosures
CA enclosures use aluminium, CT versions use polycarbonate or ABS, and CP enclosures use polyester. Specify dimensions, material and machining requirements. Distinguish an empty enclosure from a machined or populated assembly in the purchase specification.
CC-3000, CC-4000 and CC-5000 neXt
CC control enclosures house operator panels and control components. Define panel dimensions, installation depth, internal access and the suspension-system interface. Retain the complete series name, including neXt where applicable, when describing an existing assembly.
CS-B.light and CS-3000 suspension systems
Suspension families include CS-B.light, CS-3000 neXt, CS-3000 and CS-480. Select the system using panel mass, reach and mounting points. Identify an individual joint together with the adjacent components and the complete installed arm configuration.
Equipment selection inputs
For new equipment, provide the application, installation conditions, connection requirements and requested package contents. Attach the project specification and drawing.
Components for an existing installation
For service spares, provide the full marking, quantity, assembly photograph and document item reference. Identify the components that will remain in use.
Define the equipment package
Begin with the machine function and the required scope: position detection, protective-door monitoring, a rope-operated device, an enclosure or an operator-panel suspension. Identify the existing components and the items required for the new package. A brand name alone does not specify the interfaces or the configuration. Supply the applicable drawing or equipment list so that each component can be associated with its place in the machine. For an existing installation, retain the original item numbers alongside any purchasing references. For a new installation, attach the technical specification and identify which requirements have already been agreed by the responsible engineer.
Identify an existing switch
Photograph the complete marking, the operating head and the mounting location. Keep all letters, suffixes and separators when copying the product designation. The machine identification plate provides useful context but does not replace the marking on the individual switch. Include the contact diagram from the device or its documentation, the mounting dimensions and the direction of mechanical actuation. If only a lever, actuator or another separate item is needed, state that explicitly and show the complete assembly. Where several similar switches are used, label each photograph with its installation position rather than assuming that every unit has the same electrical version.
Specify the sensor interface
Describe the object to be detected, its material, the operating gap and the available mounting space. Then provide the sensor designation, supply details and output information from the applicable documentation. For a cable version, state the required cable length; for a connector version, identify the mating connection if it is part of the enquiry. Show the sensing face and nearby machine structure in the photograph. Keep a partially readable designation as it appears and explain which characters are uncertain. Do not fill missing characters from a visually similar product. An installation photograph and a dimensioned sketch can help distinguish the required version.
Document a protective-door assembly
Separate the monitoring device, its matching actuator and the mechanical mounting accessories in the equipment list. Record whether the application requires guard locking as well as position monitoring. Provide the device marking, connection information and the relevant section of the machine drawing. The engineer responsible for the machine establishes the safety-function requirements; the purchasing specification should preserve those requirements and the selected equipment references. For multiple doors, label each set and show any differences between installations. A complete assembly description is more useful than a general request for a door switch. Keep commissioning and functional validation within the machine’s established engineering procedures.
Plan a rope pull installation
Include a drawing of the rope route, its length, changes of direction and the location of the switching device. List the rope, tensioning components and fixings separately when they belong in the requested package. Distinguish a standard command device from a safety-function device in the specification. For replacement work, provide the full existing designation and any original installation documents. For a new line, state the intended function and attach the approved project requirements. Photographs should show the rope entry and adjacent mounting points as well as the switch body. This helps associate the accessories with the particular installed arrangement.
Choose an enclosure and its contents
Specify the enclosure family, material and dimensions before detailing holes, mounting plates or internal components. An empty standard enclosure, a machined enclosure and an assembled unit are different purchasing scopes. Keep these distinctions visible in the enquiry. Attach a dimensioned drawing for machining and identify the purpose of each opening. If only a lid is needed, show the base and the marking of the complete enclosure. For a control enclosure, provide the operator-panel cutout, installation depth, access requirements and connection to the supporting arm. List handles, mounting components and other required accessories as separate items with quantities.
Configure the suspension system
Provide the complete arm layout with dimensions, mounting points and the mass of the operator enclosure including its installed equipment. Reach and load must be considered together in the particular arrangement. Keep the exact series name, including neXt where present, and identify any adapters. For a replacement joint, photograph both connection faces and the adjacent components. Show the available cable passage and the profile dimensions. For a new assembly, describe the required movements and surrounding space. Identify which existing components will remain in use so that the enquiry has a clear boundary between the retained structure and the requested new parts.
Prepare a clear procurement list
Use one line per item, with designation, quantity, installation position and a reference to the relevant photograph or drawing. Separate fully identified products from items still requiring identification. State whether quantities refer to individual components or complete sets, and list what each set contains. Include the destination and a contact for technical clarification. A specification can cover equipment and service spares together while keeping their purposes distinct. The enquiry buttons provide the selected product direction; attach your own documents and retain any additional requirements in the description. Before sending, check that different suffixes have not been combined into a single abbreviated item.
Send your equipment requirements
Stock, lead time, price, dealer status and compatibility are not established by the brand name. Supply conditions and documents are checked for the specific enquiry.
