Identifying conductor rail systems from the nameplate

To identify a Conductix-Wampfler conductor rail, locate the label on the PVC insulating profile or power feed box. The nameplate indicates the program number, such as Program 0812 or Program 0842, along with the specific part number.

If the label is obscured by industrial dust or worn off, provide a clear photograph of the conductor cross-section and the current collector trolley with its towing arm. This enables our engineers to determine the exact series and rating.

Selecting current collectors and replacement shoes

Collector heads and contact shoes are subject to mechanical friction. When ordering replacements, specify the contact material: copper-graphite composite for heavy currents, pure graphite for smooth bars, or bronze for harsh atmospheres.

Provide a photo of the worn collector shoe showing the sliding contact surface and mounting bracket, plus the collector part number. We quote both individual wear inserts and complete pantograph collector assemblies.

Festoon cable trolleys and hardware configuration

For festoon trolley replacements on C-rails (Programs 0230, 0240) or I-beam tracks (Programs 0250, 0260), indicate the profile geometry and the dimensions of the cable package, specifying round cables or flat composite flatform cables.

Specify the required trolley configuration: motorized leading trolley, towing trolley, intermediate cable carrier or fixed end clamp. For high-speed cranes, include replacement steel rollers and polyurethane shock buffers.

Overhauling spring-driven cable and hose reels

In Conductix-Wampfler Series SR, BEF and EXEL reels, power is stored in a pre-stressed spiral spring pack. When a spring breaks or loses tension, replacement is carried out by installing a self-contained factory spring cartridge.

To specify a replacement spring cassette or internal slip ring assembly, provide the full reel serial number from the nameplate, cable payout length and conductor cross-section. We offer both replacement kits and complete reels.

Compatibility with legacy Wampfler installations

Operating cranes often feature equipment labeled with the original Wampfler brand prior to the Conductix merger. Most conductor rails and festoon tracks maintain backward dimensional compatibility with current spare parts.

When an obsolete catalogue number is phased out, we identify the manufacturer-approved successor from the current product matrix, preserving mounting centres and electrical interfaces without costly track modifications.

Project data required for turnkey system quotation

To expedite quotation, state the system type, factory part numbers (if available), quantities and delivery terms. For complete electrification lines, include total track length, crane travel speed and total connected motor load.

Attach nameplate photographs, general layout drawings and photos of any failed assemblies. Our technical team verifies engineering compatibility and prepares a formal quotation with verified production lead times.
