- Components: carbon vanes, rotors
- Seals: mechanical face, lip, O-rings
- Electrical: brush assemblies, armatures
- Kits: major overhaul and seal kits
Weldon Pump Heritage and Ohio Manufacturing Since 1942
Weldon Pump was founded in 1942 in Ohio under contracts to manufacture aircraft de-icing pumps for B-24 bombers. The plant conforms to ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards and holds FAA-PAH status. The Oakwood Village facility manufactures aviation and racing pumps.
- Founded: 1942 in Ohio, USA
- Headquarters: Oakwood Village, Ohio
- Certifications: AS9100 / ISO 9001
- Status: FAA Production Approval Holder
Design Principles of 18000 Series General Aviation Fuel Pumps
Weldon 18000 series positive displacement rotary vane pumps are engineered for primary engine feed and emergency boost in general aviation aircraft. The pump core integrates an eccentric hardened stator liner with precision sliding carbon vanes, generating smooth and continuous fuel delivery.
An internal pressure relief bypass valve stabilizes line pressure during altitude changes. FAA-PMA approvals ensure seamless replacement of legacy Duke's and Parker pumps across Cessna, Piper, and Beechcraft fleets.
Continuous Duty Fluid and Fuel Transfer on 8000 and 8100 Series
Weldon Pump 8000 and 8100 series electric pumps provide reliable continuous-duty circulation of aviation gasoline, jet fuel, and coolant fluids. Featuring precision mechanical face seals and fluorosilicone elastomers, they resist thermal degradation across extreme operating envelopes.
These units are widely utilized in heavy-fuel UAV propulsion systems, airborne thermal management loops, and specialized aerospace fluid handling.
Weldon Racing Extreme-Flow Fuel Systems for High-Output Engines
The Weldon Racing Pumps division manufactures billet aluminum electric fuel pumps designed to support engine outputs exceeding 4000 HP. The range includes 16000 series carbureted pumps and advanced EFI pumps such as 2015, 2035, 2345, and A16000.
All components undergo hard-coat MIL-SPEC anodizing to ensure chemical resistance when pumping aggressive racing fuels including methanol, ethanol E85, and nitromethane.
Precision Fuel Pressure Regulation and Anti-Cavitation Filtration
Weldon A2040 and A2046 bypass fuel pressure regulators deliver precise 1:1 manifold reference tracking to maintain stable differential injector pressure under boost.
Complementing the pumps, inline billet filter assemblies with 10-micron and 100-micron reusable stainless steel elements capture contaminants without restricting inlet flow, preventing vapor lock and protecting close-tolerance internal pumping elements.
