Mazurczak thermal systems for surface finishing and chemical plants
German manufacturer Wilhelm Mazurczak GmbH was founded in 1935 in Schwabach, Bavaria, and has accumulated over ninety years of engineering experience in heating, cooling and controlling industrial fluids.
The company specializes in modular ROTKAPPE immersion heaters, SYNOTHERM plate heat exchangers, fluoropolymer heating panels and precision instrumentation for surface treatment, chemical etching and electroplating lines.
Thermal designs are engineered around the physical and chemical characteristics of harsh electrolytes, operating temperatures and industrial safety norms.
The equipment maintains precise fluid temperatures across degreasing, pickling, galvanizing, anodizing and chromium plating operations. Customized configurations match bath dimensions, rack handling clearances and aggressive chemical compounds.
Selection criteria and material standards for immersion tubes
Selecting the appropriate immersion tube material for ROTKAPPE heaters is vital for long-term operational reliability in chemical tanks. Glazed hard porcelain PS and technical borosilicate glass TG are hydrolytic class 1 materials suited for hydrochloric, nitric and sulfuric acid baths.
When solutions contain hydrofluoric acid or fluorides, fluoropolymer PFA FC compounds provide outstanding chemical resistance.
For hot alkaline baths, electroless nickel and phosphating solutions, corrosion-resistant stainless steel 316Ti (KB) and grade 3.7035 titanium (TI) provide superior mechanical strength, durability and resistance to scaling deposits under demanding workshop environments.
Preventing fire hazards and tank damage with Anti-Burn System ABS
The Anti-Burn System (ABS) was developed by Mazurczak engineers to prevent catastrophic thermal damage and fires in plastic processing tanks manufactured from polypropylene, PVC and PVDF. An integrated thermal sensor detects liquid drops below the minimum immersion depth mark.
Operating with the differential current monitor DSW 3/2, the system shuts down heating power within milliseconds before hazardous polymer ignition temperatures are reached.
This safety technology conforms fully to European safety standards EN 60519-1 and EN 60519-2 for industrial electrical heating installations, safeguarding manufacturing personnel and equipment assets.
Flat GALMATHERM heaters and angular bottom heating elements
When tank space is restricted by dense part racks and automated hoists in plating lines, specialized compact heating elements are required.
Ultra-thin fluoropolymer heating registers GALMATHERM P30 with an overall profile thickness of only thirty millimeters mount neatly along tank walls without obstructing flight bars or workpieces.
Angular bottom heaters Winkelbadwaermer sit right above the vessel floor, delivering uniform convective heating from the bottom without interfering with dropped components.
Custom formed rod heaters GALMAFORM provide tailored bend geometries matching complex tank compartments and weir chambers.
Level monitoring, temperature regulation and KHS control cabinets
Automated thermal management in plating tanks combines conductive level rod-probes NS and NT, magnetic float switches MTSu and MTSt, digital temperature controllers MTR and safety thermal limiters ETB 200.
Precision Pt100 RTD sensors are protected inside titanium, stainless steel or fluoropolymer thermowells.
Complete KHS heating control cabinets house power contactors, dry-run safety interlocks, microprocessors and status indicators in chemical-resistant IP65 enclosures conforming to standard EN 60519.
The control cabinets handle heater banks from 3 kW to 100 kW per tank, ensuring reliable thermal stability and full operational traceability.
