KUKA

KUKA robots for your production task

Specify KUKA industrial robots, controls and components around the operation, working envelope and cell configuration.

KR AGILUS compact robots

KUKA describes KR AGILUS as a compact six-axis robot. Define the workpiece, gripper and working area for equipment selection; send complete arm and component labels for a replacement.

  • Compact six-axis robot family.
  • Identify the exact arm variant.
  • Include controller and component labels.

KR CYBERTECH nano robots

The manufacturer lists 6, 8 and 10 kg payload variants for KR CYBERTECH nano. Specify the complete model and include the gripper with the workpiece when defining the application.

  • Payload variants: 6, 8 and 10 kg.
  • Keep nano in the model designation.
  • Identify the selected robot configuration.

KR IONTEC robots

KUKA states a 20–70 kg payload range for the KR IONTEC family. Define the operation and installation arrangement for a new robot, or identify the axis and assembly drawing for a component.

  • Family payload range: 20–70 kg.
  • Submit the intended cell layout.
  • Identify the axis for a mechanical part.

KR QUANTEC robots

For KR 120 R2700-2 F, the manufacturer lists a 120 kg load and 2701 mm maximum reach. Those figures describe this variant; define the required model and equipment boundary separately.

  • Example variant: KR 120 R2700-2 F.
  • That variant: 120 kg and 2701 mm.
  • Keep the complete model suffix.

Select a robot for the complete operation

Describe the production operation, the workpiece flow and the required result. Include the workpiece and gripper mass together, dimensions, surface details and the required orientation. For machine tending, provide the machine opening, work area and part exchange sequence.

A complete description of the operation gives the robot selection a useful context within the surrounding production equipment.

State the target cycle and the way the result will be checked. Describe the operator actions and any manual loading stages. If the enquiry covers several cells, separate their purposes and installation conditions.

Record each option as a defined combination of a robot family, operation and equipment list. The proposed configuration can then be compared against the production requirement rather than a series name alone.

Working envelope and cell layout

Send a cell plan showing the robot, machines, conveyors and other equipment. Mark pickup and placement points, heights and access routes. For a new installation, include representative workpiece positions; for a replacement, show the existing arrangement.

Consider the gripper dimensions and attachments alongside the workpiece, as they also occupy space within the working envelope.

List external axes, rotary tables, doors and guards separately. The integration contractor defines equipment interaction and the safety assessment. Supply workpiece, gripper and surrounding machine geometry for the layout review.

Agree the scope of engineering with the responsible contractor and keep the preliminary arrangement linked to the actual production site.

Robot, controller and process equipment

Define whether the supply comprises an arm and controller, selected components or a cell with peripheral equipment. List the teaching pendant, connections, tooling and accessories. Match the controller to the particular robot variant.

For an existing design, submit the approved specification and identify any equipment that will be supplied by the customer or retained from the current installation.

Give process equipment separate lines and manufacturer details. The current manufacturer description identifies KR C5 for iiQKA.OS2. This does not establish the configuration of another cabinet.

Specify the required control system, pendant and connections, including equipment supplied by the customer. Keep one list linking the arm, controls and process peripherals.

Arc welding, painting and palletising cells

For arc welding, describe the workpiece, material, weld positions and intended process equipment. For painting, state the product, process and installation conditions. For palletising, submit load dimensions, the stacking pattern and infeed equipment details.

These inputs define the cell project and complement the requirements for the robot itself.

Separate the production objective from a preliminary choice of equipment. A selected model can be recorded as a firm requirement; when selection remains open, submit operating conditions and acceptance criteria. Site photographs and a material flow plan help define the equipment boundary.

Record engineering, integration and operator training separately so that each part of the proposed scope can be discussed with the party responsible for it.

Technical confirmation before ordering

Combine the application requirements and the selected configuration into one controlled list. Record the full product designation, quantity and accessories for each item. Identify the documents and language versions required by the receiving party.

Where several organisations contribute to the project, establish who confirms mechanics, controls and equipment acceptance.

Agree how completeness and the required parameters will be checked. Attach a cell diagram, signal list or sequence description when it forms part of the supply. Link acceptance requirements to the actual selected variant.

The original brief, order specification and received equipment can then be compared on the same basis, without transferring data from another robot model or treating an optional function as part of every system.

Parts for an installed robot

Send the arm, controller and component labels for a replacement enquiry. Include the complete part number, quantity and installation location. For a cable or pendant, add connector photographs; for a mechanical component, identify the axis and the position on the assembly drawing.

Clarify whether the request concerns a separate component or a complete assembly.

Allocate parts to individual installations when several robots are covered. Describe previous modifications so that the enquiry reflects the current system. Keep a service diagnosis separate from the purchase list.

For a new robot project, spare items can be listed in a distinct section of the specification. This keeps the commissioning equipment and the operating spare stock identifiable throughout the enquiry and receiving process.

Export supply and receiving the equipment

State the destination country and city, requested delivery terms and the receiving organisation. Discuss the packing list and package identification for a multi-item set. If the robot and peripherals will be received by different departments, define how the items should be allocated.

Submit transport requirements with the technical information so that the delivery scope can be assessed as a whole.

The order records the agreed products, quantities and conditions. Use the same item list for checking labels and accessories at receipt. For a staged project, identify the required sequence and the people responsible for technical confirmation.

Keeping one specification linked to the selected configuration, shipment documents and received set supports a clear handover between purchasing, integration and the production site.

Selection and quotation on request, supply to order. The supplier, origin, documents and warranty are specified for each item in the quotation.
