FANUC ROBOMACHINE
FANUC ROBODRILL, ROBOSHOT and ROBOCUT machines
Select FANUC ROBOMACHINE equipment for machining, injection moulding or wire EDM. Define the set from drawings, the process task and delivery requirements.
FANUC ROBODRILL machining centres
ROBODRILL is a compact FANUC machining centre with a No.30 spindle taper. Submit workpiece drawings, material, operations and installation requirements to define the configuration.
- ROBODRILL uses a No.30 spindle taper.
- The catalogue lists DC and α-DiB Plus Standard / Advanced.
- Rotary tables include DDRiB, DDR-TiB and DDR-HSiB.
FANUC ROBOSHOT electric injection moulding machines
ROBOSHOT combines electric injection moulding with FANUC CNC. Define the product, material and mould first. The following values describe α-S15iB only.
- ROBOSHOT α-S15iB has a 15 ton clamping force.
- α-S15iB tie bar distance is 260×235 mm.
- α-S15iB screw diameter is 14–18 mm.
FANUC ROBOCUT wire EDM machines
ROBOCUT α-CiC is a wire EDM machine family. Provide the workpiece dimensions, material and cutting profile. The example travel and wire values below apply to α-C400iC.
- The series includes α-C400iC, α-C600iC and α-C800iC.
- α-C400iC XY travel is 400×300 mm.
- α-C400iC standard wire diameter is 0.1–0.3 mm.
Choose ROBOMACHINE equipment for the process
Start with the manufacturing process: cutting, injection moulding or wire EDM. FANUC ROBOMACHINE addresses these through ROBODRILL, ROBOSHOT and ROBOCUT. Submit product drawings, material, batch requirements and the required result. For a new project, describe the operation sequence and identify stages that will continue to use existing production equipment.
Separate essential requirements from parameters used to compare options. A machine enquiry should consider the workpiece, fixtures, loading arrangement and acceptance of the finished part. If a model is already specified, retain its full designation. When selection remains open, the original process brief provides a basis for discussing a defined configuration rather than transferring characteristics from a different machine family.
ROBODRILL for workpiece machining
Provide the part drawing, workpiece material and operation list. Describe the intended fixture and whether machining from several sides is required. The ROBODRILL catalogue lists DC, α-DiB Plus Standard / Advanced, DDRiB, DDR-TiB and DDR-HSiB rotary tables, and Robot Package separately. Identify the equipment required for the project in the technical brief.
For a machining cell, describe loading equipment, available space and interaction with adjacent operations. Fixture drawings and a site layout help establish the supply boundary. A catalogue listing for a rotary table or robot package does not place it in every machining centre. Review the proposed set as an explicit list of machines, accessories and supporting equipment matched to the intended process.
ROBOSHOT: product, material and mould
For an electric injection moulding machine, submit product, material and mould information. Include mould dimensions and the connections specified by the project. The α-S15iB figures are a particular model example: 15 ton clamping force, 260×235 mm tie bar distance and 14–18 mm screw diameter.
These figures do not describe the entire range. State the requirements of the actual mould and product and list the equipment to be considered. Tooling and peripherals can occupy a separate part of the specification. Machine placement, material feeding and part receiving information adds useful context. The process specialist can then review the proposed supply against a complete production task and distinguish the machine itself from other project equipment.
ROBOCUT: workpiece and cutting profile
Submit profile drawings, material, workpiece dimensions and the required result for wire EDM. Include the mounting method and any project constraints. The α-CiC range comprises α-C400iC, α-C600iC and α-C800iC. FANUC lists 400×300 mm XY travel and a standard 0.1–0.3 mm wire diameter for α-C400iC.
Use those figures as a model-specific example and define the requested machine from the actual process requirement. List fixtures, consumables and accessories separately when they are to be considered with the machine. For an extension to an existing workshop, include the layout and neighbouring operations. This keeps the equipment selection connected to the movement of parts, the workstation arrangement and the production task the purchaser needs to accomplish.
Configuration and technical acceptance
Combine the selected machine, fixtures, peripherals and documents into one specification. Record the full designation and quantity for every item. Identify equipment provided by the customer or another contractor. Control interfaces, connections and loading requirements should describe the proposed configuration rather than a general account of the product series.
Agree completeness checks and documentation requirements. For projects involving several suppliers, establish responsibility for process engineering, integration and acceptance. State the required document languages and files. This preparation allows the project brief, order and received equipment to be compared on the same basis. It also makes the required work of each contractor clear enough to coordinate with the machine supply and the site receiving arrangements.
When the specification changes, identify its revision and the affected items. Drawings, the equipment list and acceptance requirements should describe the same project option, particularly when purchasing, process engineering and receiving are handled by different departments.
Components for an installed machine
For a replacement, send the machine label, component marking and position on the assembly drawing. Keep all suffixes and state quantities. A board, motor, cable and complete assembly should remain distinct lines in the purchase list. If the machine has been modified, provide documents reflecting the configuration after those changes.
List process consumables separately from machine components. A diagnosis or machining quality report can supply technical context while the item being purchased remains clearly identified. For multiple machines, allocate each part to its model and site reference. Operating spares can then be discussed alongside an equipment project while keeping the basic machine set and the reserve stock distinct during quotation, packing and receiving.
Equipment supply and preparation for receipt
State the destination country and city, delivery terms and receiving requirements in the enquiry. For a multi-item set, discuss the packing list, package identification and receiving sequence. Site information and receiving contacts help clarify how the equipment and accessories will be allocated. Submit those requirements alongside the machine specification so that they refer to the same configuration.
The order records the agreed products, quantities and conditions. Check labels and completeness against that list when the equipment arrives. If machinery and tooling belong to different project stages, identify their relationship and the person responsible for technical confirmation. One retained specification connects the selected set, shipment documents and preparation for installation at the production site.
Availability, price, lead time, origin, documentation and compatibility are confirmed for the selected configuration. We do not claim official FANUC dealer status. Installation, process setup and commissioning require a separately agreed scope.
