SKG Shitai industrial motors and gearmotors
Source SKG Shitai motors and gearmotors using the nameplate, mounting dimensions and machine requirements. Send the designation, photographs or technical specification.
SKG MV AC motors
Select an AC motor by supply, power, mounting and duty. The manufacturer’s designation chart identifies MV as a vertical motor. Keep the complete nameplate code and mounting drawing together when requesting a replacement.
- Single-phase range: 45–150 W.
- Three-phase range: 60–180 W.
- Insulation class F and protection rating IP54.
- Provide voltage, shaft, flange and brake requirements.
SKG AC gearmotors
A motor and gearbox assembly reduces the drive speed. Replacement selection requires the details of both components: identical motor power alone does not establish output speed or mounting dimensions.
- Single-phase motor range: 45–150 W.
- Three-phase motor range: 45–180 W.
- Class F, IP54; gearbox seals on both input and output sides.
- Specify ratio, output shaft and mounting arrangement.
Case-sealing machine drives
A replacement case-sealer drive must match belt speed, installation side and the machine frame. SKG lists a dedicated gearmotor group for this application; include the machine model and photographs of the installed drive.
- Listed power ratings: 100 and 200 W.
- Listed reduction ratios: 5–60.
- Mounting uses four M8 threaded through holes.
- Identify mounting side, drive arrangement and required quantity.
Hollow-shaft worm gearmotors
SKG lists hollow-shaft worm gearmotors for packaging machines and conveyors. Selection needs the bore dimensions, housing position, reduction ratio and connection to the driven machine, rather than a power rating alone.
- Published range: 200–4000 W.
- Published reduction ratios: 5–100.
- Check the driven shaft against the hollow output shaft.
- Include machine shaft dimensions and a mounting drawing.
SB-62IN electronic braking controller
This controller applies an electrical braking pulse to the motor. Read its specification together with the drive wiring diagram. Pulse duration describes current application; it is not a guaranteed stopping time for every load.
- Single-phase supply: 200–240 V.
- Braking current up to 3 A; pulse approximately 0.4 s.
- The manufacturer specifies one controller per motor.
- Allow at least 0.5 s before reversing after braking.
Reading the SKG motor code
The motor coding diagram separates mounting, pole count, power, supply and additional versions. Transcribe every letter and number from the actual nameplate, including suffixes after the power code.
- MV denotes a vertical motor; 4P denotes four poles.
- Power code 0045 corresponds to 45 W.
- S: three-phase 220/380 V; A: single-phase 110/220 V.
- M and TG identify brake and speed-control versions in the diagram.
Replacing a complete drive or one component
State whether the request covers the complete drive, the motor or the gearbox. Identify the part that will remain on the machine so that its mechanical and electrical interfaces can be checked.
- Close photographs of both motor and gearbox nameplates.
- Shaft diameter and length, key and flange dimensions.
- Supply, frequency, speed and reduction ratio.
- Fault description and photographs of the installed assembly.
Drive selection for a machine
For a new project, start with the motion the drive must provide. Output speed, load and operating cycle define the request; a mounting drawing connects those requirements to the available installation space.
- Machine function and required output speed.
- Load, starting, stopping and reversing cycle.
- Available space and mounting arrangement.
- Number of drives and delivery destination.
The SKG Shitai manufacturer
SKG Shitai, also written SKG 时泰, is an industrial drive brand of Dongguan Henggong Motor, 东莞恒工电机有限公司. The company was established in 2015. Its product catalogue brings together AC motors, gearmotors and electronic braking controllers.
Use SKG together with Shitai, 时泰 or the company name when identifying the manufacturer. Attach the actual nameplate photograph rather than relying only on an equipment list: abbreviated entries can omit the suffixes needed to identify the version.
Define the motion before selecting a drive
Describe the driven mechanism: conveyor belt, feed roller, packaging mechanism or another machine function. State the required speed at that mechanism and distinguish it from motor speed. If the design already fixes a motor speed, include that value separately.
Describe the load and the transmission between the drive and the working component. A drawing showing rollers, pulleys or sprockets and their dimensions helps separate the gearbox requirements from the behaviour of the remaining mechanism.
Specify continuous or intermittent operation, starts, stops and reversing. If the mechanism must hold its position after stopping, identify that requirement separately. Electrical braking and load holding are different functions and should be considered independently.
Match the motor, gearbox and machine interfaces
Check motor supply, power and duty together with gearbox ratio and mechanical connections. For an existing machine, photograph both nameplates. The motor plate identifies only one part of an assembly and does not replace the gearbox designation.
State whether the request covers a complete gearmotor, the motor alone or the gearbox alone. If the existing motor will remain, supply its flange, shaft and fastener dimensions. If the gearbox remains, show its input connection and identification plate.
Label dimensions by their location: motor input, gearbox output and machine connection. For a hollow shaft, provide the mating shaft dimensions. A photograph alongside a ruler gives context; use a dimensioned drawing for the final mounting comparison.
Supply and speed control
List the supply available at the machine, including phase count, voltage and frequency. Record the installed motor’s nameplate values separately from the plant supply. A terminal-box photograph and the original wiring diagram help identify the existing arrangement.
The manufacturer describes speed-controlled single-phase versions using a controller and three-phase versions using an inverter. Identify the control device already installed and explain the speed changes required during the operating cycle.
If the drive is connected to a machine controller, include the relevant start, stop, enable and direction signals. When replacing a speed controller, provide its own model designation, connector photographs and the motor identification.
Keep each product family’s published range separate. For example, the minimum listed three-phase power differs between the standalone motor and AC gearmotor groups. An order specification should identify the selected version, rather than simply repeat the brand’s overall range.
Case sealers and conveyor applications
For a case sealer, attach an overall machine photograph and close views of the gearmotor. Identify the installation side, belt travel direction and output-shaft position. If only one of two drives is being replaced, include the other drive’s details.
Record the reduction ratio and required feed speed as well as the motor power. Matching line speed matters where the drive works with adjacent conveyor sections. Identify whether the request concerns one component or a coordinated set of drives.
For a conveyor, describe the conveyed product, loading and working cycle. Show the transmission between gearbox and drive roller. If the previous drive overheated or stopped under load, describe the conditions as observations rather than assuming a specific fault.
Mounting photographs should show the holes and nearby frame members. The case-sealer family lists M8 mounting holes, while their positions must be checked on the particular version’s drawing. A thread size alone does not define the complete mounting pattern.
Braking and reversing with SB-62IN
Select SB-62IN as part of the drive circuit. Include motor identification, supply details and the existing cabinet diagram. For a controller replacement, provide the terminal markings and wire identification from safely isolated equipment.
The manufacturer describes a braking-current pulse of approximately 0.4 seconds. That value describes the controller’s action; actual stopping also depends on the motor and driven mechanism. State any required stopping time separately in the machine specification.
The instructions specify a separate controller for each motor and a pause of at least 0.5 seconds before reversing after braking. Describe the start, stop and reversal sequence so the requested assembly can be considered against the machine cycle.
A short product description does not replace the machine wiring documentation. The person carrying out installation needs the correct circuit and the selected version’s instructions. Supply those documents with the request without changing the wiring merely to identify the product.
Prepare a clear identification package
Provide an overall view of the installed unit and separate photographs of each nameplate. Photograph the plate straight on, with legible lines and without glare. Where identification is damaged, add the surviving manual, electrical drawing or machine parts list.
Show the output shaft, flange, mounting and connected devices. Mark photograph filenames with the position number in the enquiry. This links each motor photograph to the correct gearbox when several similar assemblies appear in the same request.
Give each position its own line with the full designation, quantity, requested scope and attachment reference. Keep different voltages or ratios separate. Similar external housings can conceal different configurations, so the complete designation matters.
Agree the supply scope and receiving checks
Define the requested set: motor, gearbox, braking controller and any other devices included in the enquiry. Identify existing parts that will remain on the machine. This makes the list of supplied items correspond to the intended replacement work.
The agreed specification should state the configuration, quantity and selection parameters. For a gearbox, include ratio and connections; for a motor, include supply, power and mounting; for a controller, identify the model and intended circuit.
On receipt, compare the delivered identification with the agreed specification and check the supplied items. Keep packaging, documentation and nameplate photographs with the order record if installation will take place later. Those records also help with future enquiries.
Send the position list, photographs or drawings and delivery destination. Indicate priority items and whether the request covers several machines. Selection begins with identifying the drive and defining the conditions under which it needs to operate.
Availability, price, lead time, documents and compatibility are confirmed for the selected configuration; individual repair parts require identification from documentation. Official dealership and authorised service status are not claimed.
